  1. I saw Sam in Brighton last night & he was fab :punk:

Really good evening & the two support bands he had were good too which is always a bonus :thumb_yello:, i cant remember the first group but the second group was 'Sneaky Sounds System' they were great & got the crowd really going! From what i have seen so far on youtube they are much better live - but that of course is only my opinion!:wink2:

Anyway managed to get front row, which was pleased about as had a busy day & got into the q at 7.15pm for doors to open at 7.30pm, just wandered down & landed a spot! Anyway Sam came on just after 9.30pm & interacted & spoke a lot, backing singers were a real laugh!

Only downful was he did not sing Pocket which is my fav think the time ran out but never mind, would love to go & see him again :thumb_yello:

  2. Hi Ewokwicket has been to see Sam tonight in Bristol, said he was awesome & very chatty :thumb_yello: she rang while he was singing 'Pocket' & it sounded great :thumb_yello:

Really looking forward to seeing him on Friday in Brighton:punk:

  3. Girls,

I really, really need your help. I know that I can do this if we pull together and we work as a team.

I've submitted my 3 songs from the upcoming album to T4 and Orange 'Unsigned Act Competition'. This is a prime time TV show in the UK (a bit like American Idol and X-Factor) where the audience votes on bands. With your help, I can could earn a place on the show, and work my way up to a huge recording contract.

All you have to do is vote.

    1. Signup here: http://orangeunsignedact.co.uk/signup

    2. Once your signed-up go to http://orangeunsignedact.co.uk/acts/francisrodino

    3. Click on "vote".

You have to do this once a day until September 14th. It's only 8 days.

I know you might think this is a pain but it's not. Once you're registered on the site you can make my page a favourite and just log on every morning and hit vote! There are 1700 people on this mailing list and if we can all pull together, I have an excellent chance. Please don't think your vote doesn't count. DO IT!

COME ON MIKA FANS! YOU HAVE THE POWER TO HELP US GET ON THIS SHOW!

    A million thanks,

    Francis

    :thumb_yello: Done & will keep on voting!:thumb_yello:

  4. Just thought I would let everyone know, for the newbies who haven't seen it or anyone else who wants to see it again.

Thursday, 28th August, ITV1 (UK) 11.40pm. Vodaphone Summer Series from last year with Mika.

This is the one with Alan Cumming interveiwing him, and our very own Babs seen at the front dancing! Worth seeing for that alone.

    Not to be missed!

Rose thanks for posting this, i've never seen it - really looking forward to watching:thumb_yello:

  5. I just thought I'd be totally random and bump this thread....As this was my first live Mika experience, the first time I met him, and just really an incredible experience .

This is where the proper obsession started, muahahahaha

& what a journey you must have had & what a year! a damn good obsession though:thumb_yello:

I also remember recognising MFC'ers from seeing their pics here, but not daring to speak to them (sorry, I was shy!!!)

Somehow, I just knew that someone would make a comment like that :sneaky2:. I promise, I was really shy about it. Even at Somerset House, I saw them all (just in front of me in the queue) and didn't manage to speak to anyone either :blush-anim-cl:. Only inside, once the gig had started, I chatted to Sarahlou1973.

i've seen so many of you on here at Brixton 28th & Amsterdam & i have been too shy to approach anybody, so stupid i know, i could have kicked myself after though & i am really sorry :blush-anim-cl:

I think that it was the fact that I had never been in a fanclub before that, and also never on an online forum either.

I have never joined a fan club either or posted on an online forum - after reading day after day on the MFC & being a lurker, i could not control the urge - i just had to join:roftl: although i'm still really shy at posting sometimes.

And yes, I think that I'm having a bit of a melancholic moment right now, with all the nice memories of such a gig packed year. Who knows when the next fix will come :boxed:.

sorry i've quoted you so much Sara but so much of what you have said has hit the nail on the head with me! iykwim.:thumb_yello:

  6. Melanie thanks for the post:thumb_yello:

The film seems interesting and there are good actors !I like Natalie Portman and Orlando Bloom !

I need to see it !

I second that, it does seem like a good film

    KERCHIIINGAAA !!!

When Rain is released they could use it over here for the Weather forecasts :sneaky2:

:roftl::roftl: this damn weather is driving me nuts, thats without 3 boys that are fed up with being stuck indoors!

  7. so thay have no large pink ones left?

ooo mika, I'm getting you buisness!:naughty:

well on the site i have from this thread it says xs,s & med :thumb_yello:

Edit: - blue they have sizes xs, s & med

pink they have listed xs, s , med & large !! sorry my mistake

  8. I'm sure they had these t-shirts at the merch stall in Amsterdam as i wanted one but the price was about 25/30 euros which i thought was just too much:blush-anim-cl: so i bought a black canvas bag with the new logo on which was 12euros:thumb_yello:

now i want the pink t-shirt! :roftl: they look tiny, on the site they had xs,s & medium, i need the large :blush-anim-cl:
