  1. Had a great time at the concert, but havent heard anything mentioned about the security guards. I heard on the left side of the hall they were yelling at people to get out of the aisle. My friends and I were seated in row L on the left side and I was supposed to be in Row R on the right side (we bought the tickets separately - big mistake). The people sitting close to my friends didnt show up until the 3rd song so I decided to be with my group (4 people could have easily stood - a little uncomfortably - in a 3 seat section). The secuirty guard wasnt having it and made me move so I spent the concert by myself (laaame). I didn't let that ruin my time though. I was still jumping around and singing at the top of my lungs. Some of the people next to me though were just standing with their arms crossed and not moving (and why were they there??). So.....the meet and greet made everything 100x better.

I spent Valentines Day with Mika at the last concert and I spend my 25th b-day with him at this concert (well, it was on the 27th but we were close enough). Can't wait to see what Holiday I will spend with him next. Ha ha, I'll leave my family on Christmas to see him :P

  2. My friend and I were the ones dressed up in the pink and yellow puff painted shirts. We also bought little boys to put on our shoulders (that sounds sooo dirty). We were excited when we took a look at one of our pictures that Mika was actually holding my friends one foot boy as he was putting his arm around her shoulder. Awe, he noticed. I've been a fan since day one and saw him at his last concert. Never would I thought that I would actually get a chance to meet him. Whoever gave my friends the meet and greet tickets, THANK YOU!! He is sooo nice and soo much fun. I bet the band has an amazing time touring together.

Now, I'm just patiently (or impatiently) awaiting his next dvd or concert. ha ha

  3. I like to be surprised as like a lot of people but I soo can't wait to hear what songs Mika is performing.

Does anyone have the set list of songs he performed? Did he do any covers? I'm going to the Seattle show on 10/26 and can't wait!! I went to his show 2 years ago and LOVED his cover of "Original Sinner".

  4. People tend to wear ridiculously brightly coloured clothes to Mika gigs, I've found. I don't know why, but it seems perfectly normal for Mika fans to turn up in neon greens, magentas, etc. :roftl:

Can I make a recommendation against standing on your chairs? :blush-anim-cl:

I'm the first to encourage you to get the hell out of your seat, stand up, and dance, but if you climb up onto a chair it kinda sucks for the guy behind you. :naughty:

I agree, we're just joking around.

  5. OMG Margo, I was gonna ask you to do a countdown. As usual, you beat me to it! :aah:

That gives us 57 days to think of something awesome for our shirts.

Thats going to be an amazing weekend. Chateau Ste Michelle wine should definitely be involved in the making of the shirts. I feel like we're taking over this thread.

Is anyone else dressing up? Making shirts? I was just in a plain shirt and jeans last time. I felt so conservative! i want to dress up!!!

  6. Hey,

I've had the "Mika: Live in Cartoon Motion" DVD for awhile but my friend was looking at it and pointed out that in the bonus videos, the cover states "Relax (Take it Easy - French Version)"

Is it a French version because it shows concert footage from the concert at the Olympia? Or is there an Easter Egg French version of the song. I'm from the states and was not able to find that song sung in French. Thanks!!

  7. I discovered Mika last Winter. MTV does not play any music except when they are showing new artists at the end of a show. They had the shows credits at the bottom of the screen and Mika's video for "Grace Kelly" took over the top half. In the minute long clip I saw I wasn't very interested, but the song would not leave my mind. I listened to more songs online and went out and got the cd the next day. Been in love ever since.

Now that I've gotten the dvd and saw him in concert, I've become inseperable with my cd.

  8. I've owned "Life in Cartoon Motion" for a year and have loved every song on it. "Stuck in the Middle" was always a great song but it was never repeatedly played in my cd player like many of his other songs. I saw Mika in concert last week and absolutely fell in love with this song (If you were in Seattle, I thought it was hilerious when he did the "ba de do ba ba......" and had the audience try to copy and totally fail. He gave the funniest look). It was always one I enjoyed bobbing my head to to the car and humming along but I never really thought about the lyrics. I'm having difficulty figuring this song out. Is it about a girl or a family? He wrote all his songs so does he write about personal experiences (I know "Grace Kelly" is about a personal experience). I've heard awesome things about his family so I'm thinking it must be about a girl. Has Mika explained any of his songs (besides "Grace Kelly")? Thanks!!!!!

Here's the lyrics to "Stuck in the Middle":

I sit and think about the day that you're gonna die,

Your wrinkled eyes betrayed the joy with which you smiled.

    Care to see my reason?

Care to put your life in mine?

Lookin' at life from the perspective of a boy

Who's learned to love you but has also learned to grow.

Could we make it better, stormy weather,

    So hard to know

Oh, oh, oh - Is there anybody home?

Who will believe me, won't deceive me, won't try to change me?

Ah, ah, ah - Is there anybody home?

Who wants to have me, just to love me?

    Stuck in the middle.

    I look at you,

    You look at me,

    We bite each other.

And with your bitter words you kick me in the gutter.

But my troops are bigger than yours

    You'll never stand my fight.

Ours is a family that's based upon tradition

But with my careless words I tread upon your vision.

[stuck In The Middle lyrics on http://www.metrolyrics.com]

Are five kids better than one, who'd doesn't like to be gone?

Oh, oh, oh - Is there anybody home?

Who will believe me, won't deceive me, won' try to change me?

Ah, ah, ah - Is there anybody home?

Who wants to have me, just to love me?

    Stuck in the middle.

    Yea...Yea...Yea...

This is just who I am,

This ain't a greater plan to break your heart over me.

I know that what I've started means that when we have parted

    I can live in honesty

Oh, oh, oh - Is there anybody home?

Who will believe me, won't deceive me, won't try to change me?

Ah, ah, ah - Is there anybody home?

Who wants to have me, just to love me?

    Stuck in the middle,

    Stuck in the middle,

    Stuck in the middle,

    Stuck in the middle

  9. I don't want to get too in detail on this site b/c I'm not sure about ages on this board but I loved how that lady stood up on yesterdays show and told Oprah and Dr. Oz about her sexual "problem" and Oprah was like, "honey, that is not a problem". That had me falling out of my seat!

Dr. Oz has been a guest on the show for the past year. He is a doctor who answers any and all questions. He even comes on the show with crazy things like human lungs, brains, etc to show what smoking, cancer, does to them. He very entertaining.

Ooh, I'm also in love with Nate Bercous (sp?). He seems soo sweet!
