    I tend to think that Mika doesn't just want to be a popstar. That is good, because no popstar can last forever, especially at the top of the game. Gary Barlow, for example, faded away for a while, but is at the top now, not just releasing singles, but doing other things too.

    One thing that does bug me, regarding Mika's collab with Pharell, is that Celebrate, whilst not being the best song on TOOL, is actually much beter than HAPPY, by Pharell W. That song is so annoying and yet it is still played everywhere and is a huge hit! But Celebrate was hardly played in the UK, but HAPPY was played a lot! The UK had already written off Mika, and that is so sad.

    But I hope he has a plan to win back the UK and other English-speaking countries. Surely he won't just be satisfied with super-stardom in just a few countries. That would be such a waste.

    I hope his record company get behind him again.

     

     

    I live in Australia and whenever I talk about MIKA to people, they always ask me who mika is. It's such a shame because he used to be so big here and now he's kind of faded away, which sucks because I believe people would love his latest music. Hopefully the new album gets heard by a lot of people here! I do believe that 'Celebrate' is much better than 'Happy' and that it should get more air play! Unfortunately, the only songs that get air play in Australia are songs from LICM!

    Hey guys!

     

    I live in Australia and i desperately want to buy the Mika Swatch Watch. I've been staring at photos of the watches ever since they were announced. So I went on to the Swatch website only to find out that THEY DO NOT SHIP TO AUSTRALIA!!!!!!

     

    Does anybody know how I could bypass this brick wall and purchase a swatch watch and get it shipped to Australia?

    Zak, I hate to burst your bubble, but it's not just the cost -- which I'm sure you couldn't afford. But MIKA would also have to WANT to sell the rights to his artwork to you to use like this, and I'm not sure that he would. I think you did some really nice work, but if you start to sell and make a profit from these, it could get very messy for you. We even have run into problems at times trying to use the MFC logo, even WITH Mika's team's permission. :dunno:

     

    yyeeaahh thats what I assumed! Oh well :) It's still fun making them :D

    The artwork is copyrighted by Mika.... i wouldn't suggest it

     

    He once made it clear to a lady in Australia who was making bags with his artwork that she was not to sell them.

     

    yes, i think the only legally correct way to do it is get an official licence for it, if that's possible. did that lady from australia ask for one, or did she just want to sell the bags? an official licence usually costs money though, because it's mika's artwork, so of course it's understandable if others make money with his work that he wants to get some of that money too.

     

    Yeah I assumed their would be legal issues with that. I wonder how much a license would cost?

    Love them all! They're really good, and I thought they were official ones then. I'm disappointed, I wanted to buy one! :aah:

     

    I love the first and third though :teehee:

     

    If I can find a way to sell these without copyright or legal issues, I'll let you guys know! :D

    It is a great album! I love the music, the themes behind it and all that! I can hear the influence that Nick Littlemore put into 'Celebrate'. 'Emily' sounds so amazing too!

     

    The only thing I don't like about it, is that it is completely different to the last two albums. It's very electronic and sounds like a lot of other pop songs. The album art I'm not very impressed with either. I was expecting something hand drawn and colourful like the last two.

     

    Other than that, I'm very pleased with it. I'm listening to it on constant repeat!

    Hey guys!

     

    It's been a while since i've posted!

     

    I am becoming very worried about Mika and his new look and sound. I love his new music and I am so looking forward to the new album, however i'm afraid that he will lose his look and sound! I went to his website for the first time in a long time today and I thought to myself "What the hell is this? What happened to the old Mikasounds?" Mika seems to be replacing his playful, eccentric image with a plain, techno image that every other artist on the radio has. Is anybody else as worried as I am?! I want the old Mika back!

    Everyone check out Parlez -Vous Francais by Art vs. Science, an australian band. Yes 1/3 of the song is i'm frnech but still lol. The music video is awesome.! Also look up 'Can you hear the f****ng music coming out if my car' by axis of awesome and 'prejudse' by tim minchin. All australian artists :) sorry about my spelling :)
