  1. wow, Mika's livestream was so moving. Loved it in its entirety. I always loved the song "Any Other World" especially when they used it in the TV Show "The Good Wife" and now seeing it interspersed with the tragic segments of life interrupted by the terrible explosion, I will think of this song so differently now. The lyrics are so much more meaningful now to me. I sure do hope they offer this on DVD or in any other format to purchase.                        and best of all for me..........MIKA GAVE A SHOUT-OUT TO CHICAGO!!!!!!!!!!!   going to do a happy dance now

The set list was the same as the night before, yes Elle Me Dit but no Sanremo or Tomorrow.

He whispered a lot in French at the beginning of Love Today while on the floor. I don’t know what he said but it was sexy af, even before he started humping the floor.

Great recap Kreacher! I hope someone got a video of Elle Me Dit from this or the previous show  (it's my favourite song) and amen sister, I am so happy I got to see Mika last tour in Montreal, just to hear him speak French, other than bonjour & merci, everything else is gobbledegook to me, but Mika could read the ingredients on a cereal box and make it sound sexy AF!:mikalove:

  3. As everyone has already said, I do agree that Mika was on fire last night. He always is so animated and charismatic when performing live, but he brought it up a level, as I read in an earlier post, "electric" I do agree. That is the perfect word. I hope this energized level will have him expand his Tiny Love tour into a BIG TINY tour. He can see that the North American audiences need to see more of him live (and more often than every FOUR years). Nice seeing you again Deb. Happy travels to Montreal and fingers crossed that someone posts my favourite song (or a snippet of it) Elle Me Dit which you lucky Canadians will get to hear at the next two shows. Here a few very short snippets of songs that I tried to film

  4. I heard a very random use of the whole song "Lollipop" on  SNL (Saturday Night Live) in the States about an hour ago. They might post it on their YouTube account in the next few days. The segment was towards the end of the show

with SNL cast member Beck Bennett with the host, actor Don Cheadle in a gritty biker bar and by mistake, they say, Lollipop comes up on the jukebox. They played all of it, even looped the beginning again.....and it turned into a whole dance number. I was so happy to hear Mika's music on TV! :biggrin2:

  5. just outside of Chicago at the Petsmart pet store, just as I am finishing checking out "Staring at the Sun" comes on the overhead speakers. I am elated. Grab my receipt and bags....yet I can not leave.....must listen to the rest of song. I am near the exit, grab a sale flyer in a display by the door. Pretend to thumb through the pages. Start humming along to it.....then someone comes on the speaker trying to get a price check on an item ... interrupting the song!:overreact:Why, oh, why must the price check come on during Mika's song. WHY?????? Finally after repeating price check request TWO more times, Mika's song comes back and continues.....and all is well with the world :)

  6. Love, love, loving everyone's reviews and awesome photographs and videos!!! Sorry I did not make it in time for the Zebrano's meet up......almost didn't even make it to the show. This American got her British rental car (took four days, but I mastered the roundabouts) and was running late driving in from Liverpool that I missed a gas service center when the car said low fuel and ended up driving 10 miles an hour with the windows open and everyone angrily passing us on the M40 praying   that we would make it to the next service center before running out of gas. Was enchanted by the beautiful Palladium theatre and Mika telling his history of performing there. Was sad not to hear my favorite, Elle Me Dit, but was so happy to hear him sing in concert....Promiseland and Staring at the Sun (right above my head) and was TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY by his little side shimmy dance during Good Wife. I had to pop my eyeballs back into their sockets  Gosh I wish he would come back to perform in Chicago (last show was April 2013......too, too long between shows)

Only one of my pictures came out kind of CLEAR from the show

here is a little mix of all the clips i took

Lastly, this is a little off topic but kind of related. After my trip to England I had a stopover in Iceland and did some sightseeing around Reykjavik. We were heading back from the Golden Circle tour and the tour guide stopped talking so I took out my tunes and was listening to NPIH songs and was looking out the bus window to look at the next flock of sheep...mountain.....volcano.....sheep.....mountain....sheep.....grass.....sheep....more sheep.......then we went around a roundabout and what do i see  RESTAURANT MIKA

i was in shock and I was in euphoria. I wanted the bus to turnaround so I could go there and take a selfie in front of it. I know where I am stopping next time I go to Reykholt, Iceland :P

  7. I happened to catch a show last night, Time Traveling Bong, where the lead actor, Paul W. Downs, made me do a double take.....I thought he could be Mika's doppelganger

He is also a regular on the American show Broad City where he plays:

    Trey (the fitness trainer)

and Kirk Steele (the porn star)

In this video, I think he REALLY looks like Mika's twin

Here is a trailer for the show

    Yes, no, maybe?? :dunno:

  8. Today was a good day, after going to three stores and lifting up over 100 suitcases to try and pick the lightest one for my trip in June to England (and to see Mika at the Palladium on June 5th!) I finally bought one and then realized on my way home that i had to make one more stop to the local pharmacy in the pouring rain to get some important items and as I went through my list...I could not believe my ears.....I heard at the suburban Chicago Walgreens Drug Store....."LIVE YOUR LIFE"...... I wanted to scream (a happy I-can't-believe-I-am-hearing-Mika-scream)..... I was so elated. :cheer:  I have never heard Mika while out and about. It was a first for me. It made my day! Heck, it made my week!

  9. Thank you Christine and Mellody for the driving tips. I think I would be too nervous to drive BEFORE Mika's concert, so I will save it until after the show and when I will be heading to Liverpool to visit an old friend. Three lane roundabouts would really scare me. There is a two lane roundabout in a northern suburb of Chicago and it is a nightmare. Everyone panics and stops....then goes. We Americans are slow to embrace roundabouts....at least around Chicago.

    Now, :ot:

What is the deal with so many different outlets/ticket dealers selling tickets for one venue? Is this common in London? From this thread, people listed at least 3 or 4 of them and most of them have different blocks of tickets available. They are not after market scalpers (like StubHub in North America) How confusing, you would have to have multiple browsers open just to see who has the best available.....or maybe it is just confusing to an outsider, like me :dunno:

  10. In any case, the whole of Row U in the stalls is open, and much of row Q. And some of J and L and one lonely seat in I.

I have given up hope of a seeing a US tour from Mika anytime soon.......so anyone who buys that lonely seat in row i will be sitting near a passionate American fan who longs to see Mika perform live again and will also be renting a car because I have always wanted to drive a car with the steering wheel on the right side of the vehicle and drive on the wrong side of the road (wrong to an American that is) I guess I have 6 months to learn to drive a car with a clutch!

and if.....BIG IF....by chance Mika does do a 2016 US tour   then, i will probably be selling my tickets in ROW i

  11. It was great meeting you :huglove:

and you too Catherine! It was fun hanging out waiting and chatting after the show

Did not get a chance to go to Niks unfortunately, but I was able to go to SucreSale (with many thanks to Deb and Vera....and Guylainem and Christine and all the other wonderful MFC members I met) so I will remember to go there next time I visit your beautiful city. Perfect city, perfect MFC fans, perfect venues.......I could not be any happier with the way my trip came to be
