  1. I'm so happy for you :wub2:

It's so bizarre how differently this choir was treated compared to the Manchester one the next day. We never got to watch Mika rehearse/or souncheck with him. And afterwards, no one came to get us and Mika just left  I really would like an explanation from someone, and a geniune one.

I really don't know, that's so strage! In London everyone was always looking for us, we never asked the staff anything because they anticipated us!

Thank you for your report. So glad you have special memories to take away with you. :thumb_yello:

    I have, thank you :wink2:

Sounds like a perfect day Crick, thanks for sharing. You must have been pleased when Mika made you the leader. I would so love to see Melachi again. She's beautiful.

Yes, I was really proud and nervous at the same time actually! Melachi is lovely, and so well-educated!

  2. I've been busy all the weekend, so I didn't have time to write my report as a member of the Polka Dot Choir, but now.. HERE WE GO! :thumb_yello:

As I said I was in the choir (second time), but I queued from the morning to stay with some friends. Anyway, at 4 PM the other choir members and me met at the back entrance and we came in, where we met the staff (they're really really nice people), we signed some stuff and went to our dressing room. We chatted a little bit just to get to know each other (and I wanna thank everyone in the choir, I'm happy to had the opportunity to meet you :wub2:).

Then Tim, Max, Joy and Curtis came to our room to teach us the songs, that was really funny, because Max is always joking and you can see how they are genuinely happy to work together.

After that they told us to wait for Mika to come to the soundcheck, so we tried some songs together. After a while we heard Mika's voice, and we went to watch the soundcheck, they tried popular A LOT and then Mika saw us and told us to come on the stage. He asked where we were from, he remembered I was in the choir before, and we started singing two songs, Everything was really relaxed, and that's the moment I enjoyed most of that night! They tried some other songs, he talked to Melachi from the stage, he ate, and drunk some tea, and he chatted with us from one song and the other; I have really lovely memories of this moment. :blush-anim-cl: Then we came back to our room and Yasmine came to take us to the wardrobe to take our dresses; here there was Mel (so sweet), and Mika, who spoke a little bit with me and another guy about Mel.:teehee: At 8.15 PM we were called to go backstage to do some reharsal with Mika and the band, so so funny and emotional: we did some strange noises with our voice, we stretched our legs and we jumped strongly, then we sang celebrate and he nominated me leader of the group because he loved how I was moving during the song, and he told everybody to follow me during the gig.:teehee: After that he wished us "Good luck!" in our language, told us to have fun, and not to think of anything else, because it doesn't care if we did something wrong If we were having fun, and then he went on stage!

The gig went pretty well, even if I know we were not the best choir, but I had so much fun dancing like crazy! :naughty:

After the gig we met him and we took our pics quickly because he had a lot of other m&g, and we left, happy and feeling like we were in a dream!

I can never thank enough Team Mika to give us these wonderful opportunities, I will never forget anything!

  3. Oh, that's very nice of them! I think they are sending emails because earlier people couldn't be sure if someone actually saw their youtube vids or not. This way it's clear but it's some extra work for them. Anyone in the choir yet? And sorry for those who are not in :huglove: Probably tons of applications for this one!

I've been choosen! I can't believe it, I'm still dreaming! I can't stop thanking for this amazing opportunity! :wub2:

  4. It's time for my report, even if Lucrezia already told you almost everything! :thumb_yello: I was in the choir too and it was an amazing night, an amazing experience with wonderful people, I will never forget it! Everyone was so kind with us, the band, mama P., the staff, everyone! And what I loved most was the general atmosphere you feel when you're backstage, everything is different, you see things from a very different prospective, and I absolutely loved that feeling!! I miss it so much, I can't stop thinking of it! I consider myself very lucky to have had such a unique opportunity, and I can't thank enough. :blush-anim-cl:

It was an honor to be part of the choir, even because that experience made me know some wonderful people, and I'm not saying it because it's something it's supposed to say, but because I really think they are wonderfull!! I was the youngest girl in the choir, and even more nervous I think, but in the end everything was perfect!

A big thank you to Tim, and all the band, to the staff and to all the members of the choir! THANK YOU! :wub2:

  5. Yesterday I was talking with my brother, who knows Mika very well because of me :naughty:, and I was talking about Mika and Celebrate that is not really played here in Italy and he said "Aah is it Mika that sing that songs that does like *and he sang a piece of the song*" That really surprised me, because if he can't understand that song is from Mika, I mean, it should sound very different. And I was wondering if the occasional listener can understand who the singer is. :dunno:

  6. I'm a clubbing girl, I very often go out with my friends dancing and things like that, and I don't really care that this "gig" is in a gay club, I don't have any problems talking and socializing with gay people.. so i think I'm going, just to enjoy the night, nothing more! It will be a normal night out with THE difference that this time Mika will be on stage to sing a couple of songs :thumb_yello:

  7. Heaven will the nothing like this the difference between this and the Heaven gig is that Heaven was booked just for Mika to perform, this gig will be on an actual club night where the people who usually go to this club will be there, it doesn't matter to them that Mika is there. The night is for them and should not be for MFC, it's a gay club, if you wouldn't go to this kind of place normally than I don't think you should go there because Mika's performing, sorry if that sounds harsh but it's just what I thin about the situation.

I got it, thank you, but maybe a Different kind of night could be cool, I'll see when I'm there.

  8. I see your point here but I thought this show would have been similar to the Heaven one that was in a place also with gay and there were no problems for regular MFC fans from what I've read. If this one is a different thing "too closed" for other people or the place is different then I understand the situation but I don't have enough information if I don't know the place at all. You're right when you say that there's a proper gig a month later but I usually like small gigs and I prefer to choose small venue instead of big ones (unfortunately in Italy are big ones this time) plus this one is on saturday..and this is another BIG plus!

Also, about "London means that it's automatically better than anywhere else and unmissable" the explanation is so easy imo....I like London and if I can kill 2 birds with a stone is better! That's why I always try to go to London almost 1 time every year (better if for Mika's gig!) :wink2:

    I thought that as well.

I'm going to London with my family these days, and I thought it was a good opportunity to see Mika live, even if it's for very short time! Moreover i thought it was THE same place of Havean gig, in fact in the G-A-Y website it sais it's Heaven, Under the Arches, if I'm not wrong. And so, I could't see THE difference between this time and THE Heaven ones.

I don't know if THE fact that I'm not gay can cause some problems in coming in, but I think that for 5£ I can try to go.
