You all have probably seen Mika's recent Facebook post on bullying, but just in case you missed it, here it is:
It has come to my attention over the last few months that some members of my fan community have been behaving badly towards others - call it whatever you want, cyber-bullying, name-calling, internet harassment, being nasty. I have never and will never agree with this conduct. There's nothing I respect more than my fan club community both at shows and online. I do not condone any act of bullying amongst fans or to members of my team. If you're someone who does that, you're no fan of mine. Therefore I respectfully ask everyone to be friendly and supportive to one another, and if you can't do that then please keep your negativity to yourself. I really appreciate my fans and have enjoyed meeting so many amazing people over the years, you make it all worthwhile. Be good to each other. M xWe can't really add anything to that -- obviously, we are so happy that Mika has made such a statement and will do whatever we can to make sure that the Mika Fan Club stays a safe and friendly environment for everyone.
This forum is all about fans talking to each other, and we are so lucky that we have the chance to get to know people from literally all over the globe! We all share a common interest -- Mika and his music -- but the friendships and relationships that grow out of that interest can be really rewarding. Just ask anyone who has been a part of the MFC for a while.
However, from time to time, we have heated discussions here, as you might have seen recently when many people were expressing their feelings about Mika's decision to act as a judge on X Factor Italia. That happens when people are as passionate about something as we all are about Mika. Sometimes people have strong opinions and are not shy about expressing them in a very forceful manner. But as long as we have these sorts of conversations with mutual respect and avoid name-calling, sticking to the MFC Guidelines that we have established, we should all be OK.
Still, if you should ever feel you are being bullied by another MFCer, please don't hesitate to let one of the moderators know. We have the guidelines for a reason and they apply to all members here equally!
Thanks for being here and helping to make Mika Fan Club the wonderful place it has been for the past 6+ years!

As we announced more than a week ago, The Mod Team has been thinking that with all the activity on the forums these days, we could use a few more helping hands. So we asked those of you with an interest in volunteering as junior moderators to submit your names. Thanks to everyone who expressed an interest!
After long and careful consideration, we've decided on two new additions to the Mod/Admin Team. Please join me in welcoming mellody and mari62 as junior moderators for the Mika Fan Club!
Both mellody and Mari have been around the MFC for, well, as long as most of can remember, so we're sure you'll recognize their names, and will feel free to go to them with any forum issues you might have.
For those of you who submitted your names but were not selected as junior mods at this time, please don't be disheartened -- we will be keeping an eye on how busy the MFC is in the coming months, and may add another junior mod or two as time goes on. We'll keep all of the entries that have been submitted on file, just in case!
With the addition of the new junior moderators, the current MFC Mod/Admin Team is:
StandardToaster: technical admin
dcdeb
Christine
Droopsy
guylainem123
robertina
BlueSky
lollipop_monkey
mellody
mari62
Thanks to all for making the Mika Fan Club the best and most Mika-friendly place to hang out on the Internet.

FINALLY!
As we announced some weeks ago, The Mod Team has been thinking that we could use a few more helping hands. So we asked those of you with an interest in volunteering as junior moderators to submit your names. Thanks to everyone who expressed an interest!
After long and careful consideration, we have finally decided on some new additions to the Mod/Admin Team. Please join us in welcoming silver as a junior moderator for the Mika Fan Club!
Silver has been a member of MFC since late 2007, and has been helping us for several years as the leader of the World Rep Team. She lives in the UK and so is in the GMT time zone (that is, one hour later than those of you in Europe). We're sure many of you already know her, and will feel free to go to her with any forum issues you might have.
We are also adding a few new "aides" who will be able to help us keep an eye on specific threads and will perform many of the same duties as a moderator. We'd like to welcome the following:
camille* - who lives in France, and speaks French and English
Léna Machu - who lives in Belgium, and speaks French and English
Sabine64 - from Germany, who speaks both German (obviously!) and English
For those of you who submitted your names but were not selected at this time, please don't be disheartened -- we will be keeping an eye on how busy the MFC is in the coming months, and may add another junior mod or aide as time goes on. We'll keep all of the entries that have been submitted on file, just in case!
With the addition of these fans, the current MFC Mod/Admin Team is:
dcdeb (Admin)
guylainem123 (moderator)
mellody (moderator)
mari62 (moderator)
silver (jr. moderator)
Eriko (moderator aide)
camille*
Lena Machu
Sabine64
Please contact any of us if you have any problems or questions regarding Mika Fan Club. You can send us a DM, or post a question in the "Ask the Mod Squad" thread HERE.
Many thanks to all of you for helping to make and KEEP the Mika Fan Club the best and friendliest place to hang out on the Internet!
