  1. Hellooo! I don’t know if I have much to say that someone else hasn’t already said in much more depth earlier, but I’m really glad I was able to see him on this tour. He was full of energy and gave a great performance- I only wish it could’ve been longer so we could have heard more songs that weren’t just the big hits 😉

Also, it was super cool to be part of the recoding, but I’ll admit it was a little distracting having the camera following him around almost the whole time, especially during Tiny Love :emot-sad:

I waited at the stage door, but we were near the back so I didn’t get to say hi, but it was nice to see that he seemed to be taking time with the people he did talk to :blush-anim-cl:

Hopefully it won’t be another four years before he comes back to the states so I can see him in concert again!

I forgot to really take any pictures, but here are a couple!

  3. I remember really liking this T-shirt ages ago, but I was too frugal to buy it and didn't really wear T-shirts anyway 😕 ...

Now I really want it, but it seems like Mika's not selling any official merch lately 😔

This is a long shot, but does anyone happen to have an extra one, or one that just doesn't fit them/they don't wear anymore that they would consider selling to me?? I'd also potentially be interested in any of the other official shirts, if people want to sell them, just let me know! I'm regretting not spending my money when I was younger!!

  4. Hey!!! I'm so excited to finally be going to another MIKA concert! I haven't been active on here in forever, but I've never stopped being a fan of MIKA! Since it's general admission, what time were people planning on getting there and lining up? It's not a huge venue, but it has been a while since he's been in the states so I bet people will be excited 🤔

  5. Ok, so I've had two... the first was a while ago, and I barely remember it, but basically they made a Broadway show out of Mika songs (like Mama Mia for ABBA) And me and my summer camp went there on a field trip. All I remember was that the lollipop number was really colorful and fun and Mika came out on stage.

The second was last night. I went to a Mika concert, it was the last one on his American tour, but it wasn't a real concert because it was a matinee and he had only just planed it last minute. I won some sort of raffle, so I was able to sit on stage in this mini red couch with my mom. Before the show, Mika came down and sat in between us on the couch, but it was a really small couch so he was practically sitting on top of us. It was really awkward, so I tried to break the silence by saying hi, and he was just like "yea, hi" and sounded sort of rude. Well anyway, we were there to sing some sort of backup, but he didn't really need us, so I went to help my dad who was trying to figure out some sort of case, where people kept disappearing at a school. It was getting really freaky and weird, but we were getting closer to figuring it out, when Mika said he needed us to sing backup for Happy Ending. But of course I couldn't tell him about the case because it was top secret, and we feared Moriarty might be behind it, so we couldn't take a break... then Mika disappeared the same way the people at the school had (fading ghostlike). I think maybe after that there was some more deducing, but we never solved the mystery... at some point I woke up. The End.

EDIT: Oh! You know what? There was another part, and I'm not exactly sure where it fits in, but Max and Curtis were there. They were wearing these nice suits. My mom was like "they weren’t wearing those suits last time, were they?" And I said "no, they were in suspenders and striped shirts, remember? and Mika was wearing that vest and a bowtie?" "oh, right"

Also, Max wasn't really Max, Matt Smith was there playing Max :/

  6. Ok, so, just joined this fandom - watched all six yesterday - and, how do you do it! The waiting I mean! I don't even have to wait as long as you guys and I already feel as if I'm gonna die DX

  7. Alright, so here is my quick little report of what happened.

I got there around 4:20 and there was ten people already there, one person arrived shortly after us, but most came within the last hour or so. I actually had fun waiting (this is the first show I'd ever waited in line for). I made friends with a girl named Biz (elizabeth) and Jenny, Biz who had never seen him live before (like me) and was there for her birthday (also like me :) ) and Jenny who had seen him once five years ago and still couldn't stop talking about it! :naughty: We three got the front row on the side with the piano so we had a perfect view of Mika the whole time! :wub2:

The doors opened a minute or two before eight, but the show itself was very late starting. When Max and Curtis came on it was a little awkward... They played a bunch of songs, but It really looked as if they were just awkwardly standing up there not doing much... It was fun for a little while, but it was way too long.

Mika came on and opened with Grace Kelly which was great, made some comments about the "fragrance" which he said was better than dried up beer.

He forgot the lyrics at the beginning of blue eyes, well, not really forgot, he started with the second verse by accident, put "I forgot the lyrics to my own song" to the tune and started over again :)

When he got to Popular Song he skipped the second verse and then forgot the lyrics, so he decided to start over again, but then he made the same mistake AGAIN the second time, and told us to forget that happened and that he'd come back to it later in the show, which he did, but only after consulting the trusty 'old man' iPad. Mika noticed Curtis had been looking up something beforehand and he seemed rather embarrassed about it when Mika questioned him! :teehee:

They did Stuck in the Middle with the tap dance rhythm, and three-person piano playing. He started Emily, then stopped to comment on how mean the song was to everyone in his family, and how really the only part of it that was true was that his father really didn't have that much money growing up, but then continued and finished the song, switching to French in the second verse!

He sang Hia Leah with Philadelphia lyrics, and I did manage to snag a video of that which I may or my not post depending on if people want me to or not...

    the Philadelphia lyrics went:

    Philadelphia, I don't wanna leave

oh, nice to see ya, I don't wanna leave

It's a little hot here for me today

I ate a cheese steak before coming on stage today

I think that's why it showed down my brain a little bit

I met a mad man on the train today

He drank two vodka's and an orange juice and kept whistling to himself

And I looked at him and I thought 'that could be me'

    Philadelphia, oh

    Philadelphia, woah

    Philadelphia, *whistle*

Philadelphia, tonight I love you that's all

Philadelphia, oh, I love you that's all

Philadelphia, I always loved you that's all

Oh, I'll always love you that's all

My camera literally ran out of memory the second the song ended DX

There was one funny moment where, and I forget what song it was (Origin maybe?) he asked us all to close our eyes, one girl behind me screamed out "BUT I DON'T WANT TO" and I heard numerous agreements. He said "Trust me. There's enough distance, I'm not gonna do anything!"

He forgot to put on his hat until the very last song, Over My Shoulder, which disappointed me a little. But Over my shoulder was beautiful... Mika's voice was perfect through the entire show.

I waited around the gate for like, 35 minutes, until he came out. Me and my sister both got hugs and our tickets signed, but I'm extremely shy so we didn't say much.

Both my parents now after seeing the show are more interested in him and have even bought some of his music! So I consider that an accomplishment! :) although my mom kept bringing up the fact that he has a nice 'tush' She didn't even know what he looked like before the show XD

Anyway, I hope I get to see him again sometime because that was amazing!

Edit: Oh, also, when were waiting in line, me, Biz, and Jenny were pressing out ears against the window trying to hear the soundcheck, and we distinctly hear Popular being played more than once! Which makes the fact that he messed it up twice all the more baffling. XD

  8. Lemontine, who were you? Why didn't we get to meet up?

So sorry about that -- hope you had a great time.

Oh! I was the girl with glasses and a hoodie who was with my dad who went and got Mexican food XD

I thought I might've recognized you, but I was too shy to say anything :)

But yes, the show was amazing. I've never seen mika live before so it was all pretty magical!

  9. So happy to be back on Mika's Fan Club. I cannot wait to see him monday night in Philly! Thrilled... and an intimate venue. dance, laugh, joy!! xo j:wink2::wink2::wink2:

hey! I'm going to that too! Maybe we'll see eachother :naughty:

  10. Well, you know mika based the video off that jeans comercial in the first place, so maybe those guys just found inspiration from the same comercial? But yea, it is more like mika's video than it is like the comercial... so... I don't even know :)
