  1. I'm still in shock over how EPIC the entire thing was. Before anything else, I want to say THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH to Alice for the unexpected gift! That was so generous of you, even Mika made it a point to say so when I got him to sign it (I actually felt like a child being lectured on how to properly accept a valuable gift :teehee: ).

This was my first gig since 2007, and I can honestly say it was one of the best shows I've attended. Ever. I was first in line, and it was SO worth the wait. Mika's voice sounded amazing, and the acoustics in this venue were just perfect for it. When he first tried turning off the mic for Lola, I thought This probably won't last long, but it worked, and it sounded wonderful. When he did Stardust later on, I was like :tears:

"Magical" is the only way I can think to describe it. I know that may sound incredibly cheesy, but it's true. It's like we were all under some sort of spell (one that kept us all quiet anyway). Thanks again kreacher, for offering up your prime spot near the end!

Like everyone else, I was shocked that he actually took the time to see all of us afterward. I can't remember what I said to him when he signed my book, but I was probably spouting random nonsense (Always happens, I tend to have the worst luck when meeting famous people). Instead of just signing his name, he drew some weird illuminati-like sort of scribble inside the book. I thought that was cool. :naughty:

I had SO much fun at this gig, and I enjoyed meeting all of you!

Thanks again to Alice for the book! That practically made my day before the show even started.

Thank you Ladyeridan for the ticket (sorry that you couldn't make it. Hopefully I'll meet you sometime at a future gig!).

Thank you to kreacher and nas for being such good company in the queue (you guys made those first few hours go by much faster). As well as everyone else from MFC that I got to meet. I hope I see you all again real soon! :original:

  2. I hate to do this. Hate it. But it's going to be REALLY impossible for me to make the trip I had planned to make. Family obligation

I have one ticket for Le Poisson Rouge, Philadelphia, and Washington DC shows. They are e-tickets, I have them downloaded as pdf. I Have to sell them.

If you're interested, they're face value. Le Poisson Rouge is $40.50, Union Transfer (Philadelphia) is $37.25, and Washington DC, Sixth and I Historic Synagogue is $38.55.

PM me if interested, I'll send you the downloaded ticket as soon as paypal exchange is made.

I will miss you ALL at these shows :(

I just PM'd you about the DC show, but I'm not sure that I did it right. Should I send it again?

Sorry for my dumbness, I'm still new to this forum. :sweatdrop:

  3. It really seems like half of these tickets went to scalpers. I expect they would have sold out anyway but not before all of these hardcore fans were able to get tickets. It's really ridiculous. I wouldn't be surprised if some of these venues are only 75-80% full because many of the people who really want to go will not source them from scalpers. Before the sale I had joked about buying up all of the tickets for a venue because it's cheaper than a private gig. But the scalpers may be pulling off something similar by their collective greed. :naughty:

That sounds about right. The venue is quite small-ish, with a seating capacity of about 200. The last time I checked stubhub there were about 90 tickets available. :annoyed_h4h:

And it's quite true that we're anxious to see him here in DC again. The 2007 show was a blast, and we've been dying for him to come back ever since. :original:

  4. Thanks all! :original:

guylainem123, no I actually didn't. I could've, but that meant I would have had to wait over a month until we were done using it on our overhead system. I was rather impatient at the time, so I ended up buying my own copy from our store. :teehee:

  5. Hello everyone! I'm a newb from the East Coast (DC area).

My story isn't particularly special. I've been a Mika fangirl since 2007. Back then I was working at a bookstore, and I can clearly remember when we got our promo copy of this colorful new album by some dude called "Mika". As soon as we started playing it on our overhead I was hooked, and I've been a huge fan ever since. I had no idea until recently that he had a new album out, and as soon as I heard about the new North American Tour I went nuts. I actually stumbled upon this site today while trying to find spare tickets to the DC show in April (sadly I missed the pre sale). I saw him back in 2007 (it was awesome on a rather epic scale), and I've been waiting years to see him again.

Nice meeting you all. I'm sure I'll enjoy it here!
