Some more details about the fanaction - we were told a few days in advance that 20 of us would be allowed to enter earlier, to distribute the papers. So we waited to be let in at 5pm, and indeed at that time security staff came with a list and gave us nice passes that said "Fanclub" on them. Technically the fanaction wasn't organized by the fanclub, we just helped the Italian fans who organized it, I don't know if they're all here on MFC... but nevermind, those passes only would have been for the early entry anyway. But then nothing happened. Mika was doing his soundcheck, he had only started at 4:30pm or so, and rehearsed (nearly) the whole show. So we waited. And waited. For over an hour, and then finally someone said we could go and get changed/eat/etc., because we wouldn't get in for at least another half an hour. In the end, we only entered at the same time as the rest of the crowd, we just got a special entrance so we wouldn't have to find our way in the queue, with our huge bags. Someone said it was for insurance reasons, but then why couldn't they have told us that earlier, then at least we wouldn't have had to stand in front of the venue for ages and wait for something to happen any moment, while not daring to leave for a few minutes to have something to eat or drink etc.

 

Once inside, we hurried to distribute all the papers, and within a bit over an hour we were done. It was a challenge, but very good teamwork, and very good organization by @Serenamiglio_ and her friends. Other fans distributed the hearts for Tiny Love and the crowns.

At the same time, security people gave out papers in the same size (A3) at the entrance, that said "Good Guy", with an instruction printed on it to hide these papers at first and then hold them up for the song Good Guys, as a surprise. So I suppose Mika didn't know about it. This was organized "by the production", according to the security people, and I think pretty much everyone in the crowd got such a paper. Not everyone had papers for our fanaction, because we focused on the parterre and the MIKA letters, and left out the sides. Maybe that was another reason why people (without papers) started holding up the Good Guys ones.

Ah well. I wish it had worked out better, there was a lot of work and planning and time and money involved to get this done, especially by Serena... I don't think the hearts and crowns interfered too much, tho some of us already were worried it would be too much for people to find all of that on their seats when they arrive... but obviously we hadn't known about the Good Guys thing, and that apparently was too hard for people to distinguish. At least Mika saw that we were trying to do something and he looked happy, I think he even told us later that he could recognize a heart... he also looked a bit confused tho, because of all the Good Guys papers.

 

Edit: In the end, the only one of our fanactions that worked as it was supposed to was the hearts, because during Love Today everyone had run to the front and most fans had left their papers in their seats.

Hi! Unfortunately, I have only now had a chance to read it! 
As a first thing I would like to thank the people who believed that fanaction was possible.❤️

We put our hearts into thinking it up and organizing it, but mostly our energy into distributing the papers as quickly as possible😂 We ran very fast, so fast I didn't think it was possible😂😂

A number of things unfortunately worked against us: not being able to actually get in early as promised, but definitely the Good Guy sheets were the worst surprise we could have had🤦🏼‍♀️

The first thing we thought once we saw their FA was that people might get confused...and unfortunately that was the case....! Without the good guy sheets people would have just raised ours, even if they didn't read the instructions, or if they didn't know the song, they would have followed what the audience (where we all were😂) was doing, ! Nevertheless, the Good Guys moment was really suggestive and he really liked it, so that's good! 💫

I am a person who really puts all of herself into things, I feel guilty that the fan action failed, not so much for me, but for everyone who contributed in one way or another! Not everything can be predicted and it went the way it did, we did everything we could!

I was really happy for the help I received, I hope we might have a chance to do it again without having any bad surprises!🫶🏻

Unfortunately, few people were able to raise the crown, as Karin said, everyone was in front of the stage and left papers on chairs.😞

Instead, the fan action of hearts had a beautiful effect! And I am very happy about it! I'll put up a little video❤️

And I think it's important Mika feels the love by his Italian fans in Verona, I'm just happy to help them with it but will leave the details up to them, unless they specifically ask for info.

 

Serena, maybe it'd make sense to start a group on IG to organize it & tell people the details, if you don't want to do it here?

 

Edit: As for the possible problem of people running to the front, maybe for that the Italian flag would be a better option than the heart, because the flag could be done anyway. But I agree with what Michelle said that Mika will respect the ancient venue and rather come closer to his fans by going into the crowd several times, than calling them closer towards him, if that's forbidden at the arena. I just hope we can stand up and don't need to stay seated.

 

As for the hearts, Anna, if you want to do that in addition - why not do something different and use a white sheet with red printed hearts, like the ones at Eurovision? Or even small flags if we can get them printed within the short time.

But actually I am thinking that if the first rows will not be involved in the big heart FA we can distribute color paper hearts in the front part of the venue. Like this most of people (I think it can be 3/4 of the capacity) will take part of the big heart FA. And the small part in the front in the small hearts FA. Or we will do both in the same time.Like this we could avoid the confusion especially for those who are not used to FA.

 

@Serenamiglio_  do you know already how big the heart will be and how many rows in the front part of the venue will be excluded from your FA?

I counted the seats on the parter section. There is about 2350 places.

So I think we can prepare this amount of paper hearts without any problem. (In London in 2019 we had 2000)

I've been to some concerts in Arena, it was never possible to get up! Once when it happened the singers themselves asked to get back to their place and they blocked the concert temporarily... I hope it will be like this now, but we are almost certain!

Hi everyone, l'm the girl who's organizing everything! Arena inside is very big but also seems small when it's full of people, I'll post
some photo of ours ideas so you can try to imagine it (either the flag or the heart, it depends on what sheets of paper we are able
to find), l'll also post the fanaction that inspired us that was made for a concert into Arena!

I'm Serena, I'am 16 and I come from Italy. I remember that while my mother brushed my hair I sang Relax, Grace Kelly and Lollipop. It was 2007 and I was 9 years old! I grew up with the music of Pooh (an Italian group) and before Mika no other had captured my heart. I like him and his songs make me smile .He has a smile and a way of doing that bring joy. He is sweet and tender, he loves his job and he puts his heart into what he does. I went to his concert last Saturday. I was there from 4.45 in the morning and I managed to get under his microphone . It was a busy day during which I almost end up in an ambulance but the concert has repaid all. There are still many things to say but I 'm sure that will come out later in some chat room or discussion!
