  1. What a gig! I'm still buzzing, 2 days on!! I was also a bit sad to not have a few more of the French songs... I was thinking he couldn't do AC with the big sign from the ceiling because of the limitations of the venue? But was sad not to have seen it (the sign and the song) anyway!!

I'm still collecting my thoughts on the gig itself. A big highlight for me was Mika jumping in the crowd riiiight in front of me for BGYAB. Had seen this happen from afar at so many gigs so it made my evening to finally be in the thick of it!! Although the awful, shaky video I took has me screaming the lyrics in the background, so that's fun 😂 🤣

I will forgive you for liking dogs more than cats :lol3: to be honest, I love dogs almost as much as I love cats...cats just suit our lifestyle more at the moment! I hope to one day have a dog (as well as multiple cats :lol3:)

Hi @EmRay and welcome to the MFC :welcomeani:I know what's that. I've spent 13 hours queuing to be in front of the stage. But it was worth it :naughty:

Take a look at this thread and enjoy the forum!

13 hours is hardcore!!! But what an experience. One day I'll get to the front

Hello @EmRay and welcome to the MFC! :welcomeani:

I'm happy you were able to rediscover the music of Mika in these years! :biggrin2:

Oh...your partner has waited with you 9 hours for a gig!

I think your partner will also soon be drawn into the world of Mika!

Being able to share own interests with someone is always beautiful! :wub2:

I hope you will have fun in MFC and...see you around! :thumb_yello::bye:

Hehehe we both love to travel so we are trying to line up Mika gigs with places we've been talking about visiting for years! (Berlin in a few weeks!) As long as he can get a beer or two at the venue, my partner is happy :lmao:

  5. Hi all!

I've been lurking and occasionally posting over the last few months, and just realised I haven't actually introduced myself

My name's Emily, I'm in my 30s and live with my partner just outside London. I work full time as a writer at a charity and am very much into travel, orange cats and reading!

I was really into Mika's music when I was a teen and then sort of drifted out of the loop as I went off to uni and had a few big life changes. Over the last few years I've fully been embracing the music of my youth(!!) and rediscovering the songs and artists I used to love!! :wub2:

After realising I'd missed out on a huge back catalogue of Mika's music, I've been fully kicking myself - I've thrown myself into multiple gigs (s/o to my partner for travelling to Madrid last year for BRAVA and standing in the crowd for 9 hours to get a good spot ).

Looking forward to chatting with you all and seeing you at upcoming shows!!

  6. Hi all! I have 2 spare seated tickets for the Bordeaux gig on 1st March. CATEGORY 1, 110 - RANK 12 - PLACE 118 and 119. Please PM if interested!

Silly me got a bit overexcited and thought I was getting tickets for Lille  French was never my forte at school...

That sounds good! I was mostly thinking about how they manage people standing or dancing at their seats, whether they're relaxed about it or if they're immediately in your face yelling at you to sit down.

Oh good question. Sadly I didn't see a single person get up to dance (yes, this made me v sad but it was a violinist we saw which might have explained everyone's reluctance to get up!)

Great! What was security's attitude like during the gig?

Good, I don't remember any problems! All good getting in, with a quick bag check. It's all seated in the balcony, but there's a little walkway between the first few rows and the rest of the rows. Security/venue hosts moved people along now and again if they were standing up in the walkway too long. Did you have any particular concerns? :)
