Thinking about it more - I think it’s actually a smart move to do a setlist with “oldies” in the UK. He hasn’t been there for the longest time (outside of London, besides performing at Cheltenham Jazz last year) and I think it’s a good move to get reacquainted with the UK audience. Also, looking at the concert videos from the last two shows; he is having a really good time and so is the audience! That is what matters! 

I kept thinking about the setlist too and I also came to the conclusion there must be a bigger plan. I might not understand his reasoning but still.. the only hypothesis I came up with is that he is picking up where he has left to reconnect with het UK. Then he will be able to make a big entrance next year with his new english album. 

I still don't like it but I respect his choices as well as the fact that he is an expert in these things and I'm not. 

And now when I read back I realise that you wrote exactly the same thing but your words are much more refined

I agree with all of you. C'est la vie is easy to sing along which was obvious when he filmed the video so I don't understand. Other french songs would also do great. It kinda hurts because I don't want him to lack confidence or underestimate his audience. Either way is misplaced. It's an amazing album. I hope he will bring some songs back for Berlin and the UK.

Amsterdam!! Did you have a good time?! I am sad at home as I wasn't able to travel. I had to cancel because I am sick, it's the gremlin cough. So please post a vid  and the setlist so I can imagine I was there! 

I officially surrender.. it took less than a day. I came here just to see the setlist and it's mindblowing. Too good to resist. Now on my way to see some videos

What a wonderful mini concert!  I smiled when I heard the intro of his new song. Now here it comes, I thought, I wonder if he will sing those dirty lyrics in front of these children and then I realized it was the intro to c'est la vie. 

What an amazing suit! I hope we will see it again! Well the coming months I will see it every morning as I start my day watching this burst of joy and energy. All those beautiful colors, light, and that mirror suit, it makes me happy
