Mika is one of the top 4 chart toppers to remain at number one for the longest time in the last 7 years. He has already been named as the second record to ever get to number one on downloads only

On the singles chart, his conquerors are the Kaiser Chiefs, whose Ruby takes advantage of Grace Kelly’s understandable fatigue - its sales dipped 25.6% to just short of 32,000, bringing the curtain down on its five week run at number one, a longer stint than 200 of the 21st century’s previous 204 chart toppers.

Interesting, Kaiser Chiefs sold 38,000, 6K more than Kaisers but equaled the sales of Life In Cartoon Motion

Oh and as for LICM, was 9000 behind Amy Winehouse.

Mika sold 38,000. 6000 more than Grace Kelly

Remember, songs which are already availiable to download through albums don't do as well though, except the odd one (lets hope Love Today is the odd one )

I have figures, Mika sold 32,000 copies of Grace Kelly, i don't have the Kaisers figures but earlier in the week they were 5k ahead to give you a bit of an idea.

They're just jealous, never had a number 1 single from their first album highest position for 'Oh My God' was 6.

In fact their album didnt get to number one either. If Mika wasn't around they would have been number one for three weeks now. That's the only reason they're saying that. I'm sure they REALLY haven't got anything against him

The really high pitched screaming is the three girls in front of me. I'm pretty sure everything else is Mika singing, although i was singing pretty loudly

WHAT A BRILLIANT NIGHT :D

The barfly was sooooooooooooo small you wouldnt believe it.

It's sorta hidden away in a street so took a while to find. Anyway, the doors were supposed to open at 7 but didn't till 20 to 8 !!! Never the less we were kept entertained as the bands tour bus was right opposite of us. We say EVERY member of the band passing by, Matin jumping into a luggage hold and Luke thinking my name was Oliver !! (it isn't btw )

So we got into the event VERY small as i've said and i nipped off to the loo, where i then saw Mikey who was putting his contacts in. Had a good chat with him about Mika's flu, past gigs here and even about Happy Ending Live !

Apparently, the record label also wants them to play it but because of the choir etc it could be tricky. Although, Mikey did say they were working on a version now but weren't going to start playing till Mika was happy with it, which is fair enough. Was a really nice bloke to talk to !!

We ended up around 3 rows from the front. Hats of to the support he did a good job and got people warmed up. Unfortunately, this then led to three quaters of an hour of NOTHING. Just music. So much so that people were chanting MIKA.

So, he came on to do his set. Luke and Martin both as Mika put it 'f**ked' up two different songs at the start (Martin --> Ring, Ring, can't remember about Luke though could have been Big Girl or Love Today). So he did his set. The crowd were amazing btw. Just checked the Grace Kelly performance on my phone and ya cant even hear mika most of the time !!!!

All in all, was a brilliant gig and it was so cool to get to meet and talk to the band !!

You guys won't be dissapointed !!!

Got to pick the tickets up from the venue, says 7pm start time which seems early. What time is everyone else getting there ?.

There's a 10pm/10:30pm curfew in force because of a club night afterwards

It had a limited release, of 500 copies on vinyl

So, it could be released, but considering the other tracks i'd be suprised if it were.

Everyone seems to think it has and i have NO clue why.

Love Today has NOT been released. It's is coming out on April 30th. Previous to Grace Kelly coming out, Relax Take It Easy had a limited physical release.

I think it's good that 'Grace Kelly' has been removed, Radio was starting to play it far too much. This allows 'Grace Kelly' to die down a bit for promotion of the next single 'Love Today' which as CW says is on the Capital Radio playlist already
