Well, Im sure another sleepless 5:30AM is due anyday now. I am sure to catch it eventually. Would be cool to see I am sure.

On this side of the pond, a few radio stations are starting to play MIKA. This is a tough place to market music, though. I myself do not listen to broadcast radio, my friends have been calling me with these reports...

which makes me laugh, every time I get a "I HEARD MIKA" phone call.

In my humble opinion...

When I had MIKA's CD flown over to this side of the pond, he became the number one on my chart.

He will stay number one as best male vocalist for the 21st century... on my own chart. I have not heard his equal since the Great Danny Elfman (Marks Number One for the 20th Century).

I do not anticipate being here for the 22nd Century. I will leave that to future generations.

This place just get better and better, every time i find the time to log in.

Actually... The Big 40 was a non event for me. I am just practicing for when I get really old. You know the drill:

"Walk To School... Twenty Miles... Ten Feet of Snow... Uphill Both Ways!"

"...And we didn't have MIKA. We only had Duran Duran... and we were damned greatful to have them too!"

Well have converted a few - my kids and their friends but husband is being a bit resillient!!

I've been having fun with the local record stores on this side of the pond.

Nobody says you have to buy anything, but this is something real simple... like walking into your local record store and asking if they have a copy of 'Life In Cartoon Motion'.

I remember the president of IRS Records (Paul Colichman) used to do that for fun back in the late 80's, before MCA bought him out. Most people in the US never even heard of MIKA! Can you Imagine That???

It just occured to me that some of you were not even born before... o god i am getting old!

And the same depth when its all over.

Believe me.. I know how you feel.

I have not been this excited about a new album release since I was my age.

I went to the lyrics thread and saw the lyrics to so many of Mika's songs. I have heard the clips on his website and listened to the songs on Yahoo Music Videos many, many times. But where are y'all hearing all of these other songs?! HELP! I SO would like to find out where to hear more MIKA!

 

Also, where can you download any Mika songs (beside iTunes) and what songs are available to download? I don't have a mp3 player yet, and I am thinking about getting one. Does (or will) iTunes have more Mika offerings than other sites? If so, it is worth going that route, I think. Whaddaya think?

I remember my Dad saying the same thing about Rock Music when I was my age. At the time, I barely understood English.

MIKA is a real class act, considering someone of his talent could be a real primadona. He's just a down to earth regular people kinda guy...

I would say that MIKA does for music what Payton Manning does for Football!

And any American football fans out there will know what I mean.
