I agree! I think that's why all the 'emo' and 'indie' type people are giving Mika bad reviews. They don't think it's cool to like Mika, but I bet he is their guilty pleasure!

I was just looking at all the threads and I noticed that this one has WAY more views than any other thread on the page. Just goes to show you that even when people say they don't really care if Mika has a *significant other* they do! I just thought that was interesting...

I don't think he would be bothered by what people say so much as there is nothing his own anymore. There is nothing safe from prying eyes. He can't do anything or talk ot anyone without it becoming the business of everyone everywhere. Thats what I meant he'll have to get used to it soon or he'll hate doing what he does, because its not going to get any easier to stand and people won't suddenly stop getting into his business. And I'm not talking just about the forum but also the press and just people in general

Exactly! It's just going to get worse, his popularity is growing everyday. The American media, especially tabloids, is relentless about this kinda of stuff, and it will get worse as he gets more and more popular over here. Also, it seems like he had a separate myspace for personal use and now that it's been posted (NOT blaming anyone) I bet he'll get a bunch of people requesting to be his friend on it. Oh the joys of being famous, but I guess that comes with the job...

My brother is HORRIBLE. He HATES Mika! I don't know how anyone could hate Mika! I can't even listen to or even hum a Mika song without him having something to say about it, it sucks! My parents don't even wanna hear about him, my mom even called him 'frilly' It makes me think I'm crazy! lol. How can I like Mika so much and then there are other people (my family) that don't like him at all?! I just don't get it...

Anywho, if Mika Withdrawal is that bad, do I want to meet him?

I know, I was thinking about making my own t-shirt but since I'm not very artistic, there's this place where you can take any design or picture and put it on a shirt, and it's only like $15. That way, it's way cheaper, and no one else with have one like it, lol.

I've herd that wikipedia isn't too safe to trust. You can very easily edit it, my english teacher was telling me about it, how on some talk show, the host changed stuff,and added a word to the english dictionary,haha.

haha kind of coincidental you post this, because i was going to after i just woke up from a dream that Mika posted a comment on my myspace, and when i started reading it, he stepped out from my computer screen and was like "HELLO MELISSA!!!! i'm putting on a special concert tonight just for you and your friends right here in your backyard on the gazebo!" and then i passed out and he picked me up and put me on the couch and then i woke up.

Haha, that's a funny dream!

I had a dream like a month ago where Mika was in my house but I couldn't find him and there was a huge Mika truck out in my front yard. Then I started crying and Mika came out of my bathroom. He said he had to leave so I said I wanted a picture with him but I couldn't find a camera. I started crying again (he must have thought I was a big baby, lol) So he said no worries and pulled out his camera and let me keep it.

I had another the other night where I was talking to Mika and I guess I was his girlfriend or something and I told him I had to break up with him because I liked this kid at my school. When I woke up, I was like What was I thinking?! lol.

No, people didn't boo him... I get your point on "why they should boo" but i think it's not very nice to boo someone, unless there is a big lack of respect : making people wait 45 minutes for you after the support group made me feel a bit fooled... But I don't know how it is normally, and nobody booed for that... A bit of impatience, but nobody moved... So they thought it was short, but explained that with the fact that there were only one album and were satisfied with it ! So where's the problem if people are satisfied with what they get ? No problem...

 

For the signatures and so on, i really think he's exhausted... Not an excuse for being unnice, but he was absoloutely nice, telling us that he didn't have the time... It's our job to understand that he didn't want to, and not to insist, but i know it's really hard when it's your one and unique occasion to meet the one you've adored for months ! That's why i think you don't adore an artist, but you adore his music, even if it's part of him ! It's the only part you get to see... We don't know the person, and personally, that's why i can't "adore" an artist... And i kinda join Babygirl2a on this point (the other Olivia of the forum ), when we talked about "should we/shouldn't we meet our idols" in the French thread...

I definitely agree with you on that one...most of us only have one shot to meet Mika and get his autograph, a picture, etc... I think artists including Mika forget that sometimes and don't realize how much that moment might mean to us. I know that it's impossible for him to come close to meeting all his fans (especially since he's rapidly growing in popularity) but I still think he should try his best which he probably is, I guess I shouldn't judge. Anyway, hopefully this just a one time thing and not a habit. That's why I really wish I would get to see him before he becomes too popular...

By the way, you're not boring at all! I liked reading what you had to say about the concert because it was real. I think some people don't like to believe that Mika does anything wrong or bad or whatever the right word is (I think you know what I mean) and all they'll talk about is how great it was, which is fine and may be true for them, but I liked how you were honest about how Mika didn't have much time for the fans (for whatever reason it was.) I would be disappointed if I didn't get my picture with him also.

I thought the review was boring, I didn't finish reading it. It was basically just one long, neverending sentence where the author tried to make himself seem smart by fitting in as many "big words" as he could...that's just my opinion, lol.

I think it does seem a little slower. I only get on once a day and normally really late and I try to read as much as I can. Most of the time I'm really behind on the posts and that's why I don't post that much but lately there hasn't been as much to read, atleast it feels like it. Maybe it's just because I get on so late and there's not as many people on.
