You've never had someone say "are you single?"
Well that's different... like at bars and clubs and... that's a different situation
Like in every day life, you don't go up to someone with a wedding band and be like 'hey, who are you married to?'
-
The lyrics of WAG you typed are wrong.
>.< I didn't even realize it. I just copied/pasted from teh interwebz since I'm lazy
-
I'm curious too, but like, people don't go around asking who you're significant other is, do they?
-
Wish I'd thought of that
-
And if you take a closer look his T- shirt says:
I HAD CHICKEN LAST NIGHT
BAHAHA
Oh Mika..
-
If this has been discussed, feel free to move/lock this, I just don't have the time to sift through pages and pages of discussion >.<
Did anyone realize how overall depressing most of the songs are? I was going to say that some are obvious, but in spite of their peppy tune and all, so many songs are like, heartbreak (by the time, dr john, pick up off the floor), losing your way (Goodgone girl), etc
Like in One foot boy:
MY OH MY
I think my mind is gone
I'm left here wondering
Was I crazy all along?
What do I do?
Nothing left but pray
Gonna shoot somebody
Help me drive this craziness away
I’m happy on my own
We are golden, the bridge
Now I'm sitting alone
And I'm looking for help
Left here on my own
I'm gonna hurt myself
Many years have gone by
But I'm wondering why
I ever let the world,
let it bleed me dry
Are some examples of the darkness that comes out of this album. Is this maybe what Mika means by 'the boy who knew too much'? Thoughts, opinions? Should this be closed since it's discussed elsewhere (if so point me, I have further thoughts...)

I'm verry whatever when it comes to love, sexuality, whatever. I'm not picky, I'm damn greedy xD. Why pick one when you can have both. I keep my options open.

You spin my head right round, right round, when you go down, when you go down down

The new album is called "Of the Blue Colour of the sky." Twilight fans will recognize "Shooting the moon" and 90210 has a song called "I want you so bad I can't breathe" on the new soundtrack and Banana republic has released "Skyscrapers"
They're live shows are awesome Jen

i put most of my good stuff on myspace- i mainly shoot for local bands, but I do a lot of animal photography as well
http://www.myspace.com/newclearrainphoto
BTW PhotoJenic:
My current camera is a good quality P&S. They do run slower, but sometimes when you're either A. short like me, or B. bad venues and you're climbing on stuff to get a shot, they zoom well. Unless there's flash and you're closer, dark shots don't turn out as well. But if you know your camera, like I do, you can get decent photos that just need a little touch up (which I need a better program for... would love editing program recommendations)
I've talked to many photographers, one of them has even shot some photos of Iman and other important politicians at events, and we were talking about how the camera itself for the most part doesn't matter, but the quality of the image itself. Nice cameras do, of course, help.
I have a friend who's a 'professional' photographer, but she has no passion to her photography. She does it for the money and just uses her fast camera to take lots of shots and might get a couple of good ones out of 500+ depending on the band

They have a new album coming out and it has some mika-esque tones

Any OK Go fans here?

My pics from the show
Wish I'd brought my better camera, hence the not so good quality

Not in order, starts in the middle of the second one, on to the first and back to the second album
I love friends too...

Vey big HOT from me...
Check out her videos on youtube. She has one from Mika and Perez Hilton in LA handing out ice cream and stuff.

I just uploaded a few photos from the concert....the quality is awful, I apologize.
http://www.mikafanclub.com/forums/album.php?albumid=400
One thing at the concert that nearly ruined my night: I was sitting quite a bit back and when Mika came on stage for the encore and started singing Toy Boy (which is one of my favorites and it made me cry), there were girls who screamed out "SING GRACE KELLY." I thought it was so incredibly rude, and I really really hope he didn't hear it...
I know! I was like 'wow... way to not be a mika fan, but a grace kelly fan'
and if you went on mfc earlier, you could just see the setlist f rom th eother shows. Anyways, come on, like he'd forget that song
I don't understand why he was embarassed about his pants splitting, i mean, he comes out of the space suit in his knickers... and his video does have him like dry humping everything... Mika, darling, we love you, no matter how silly you are
Wow, i took like, 300 pictures last night
-
I wanna know how he gets those big bloopy knickers into those tight jeans...
Alright, heading off... since my teacher decided to un-cancel class... i'll probably be up early to check on progress.
-
70+
Atleast 15-20 in front and a good long line behind
But it was fast. Mika was like 'oh hi there' signed and moved on
-
Thank you.
And holy crap, Boston fans are made of tough stuff for that many to wait in the cold.
We feel we have to make it up... "The British are coming, The British are coming!"
-
Did he do One Foot Boy? How about Good Gone Girl? How many people were waiting after the gig?
yes, no, probably 70+
ofb was between pick up off the floor and blame it on the girls.
I knew I missed something
-
Did your side win first before he evened it out?
Whaat I don't remember seeing you?!! All I can remember is the guard ordeal and after they left being the first one to go back to the doors. I'm GLAD some woman put the guards in their place. I can't wait to see those photos! Did you get any videos?
He's also brave to steal someone's drink.
Yeah, we won, don't worry
No videos, again check out kat Tales TV on youtube, she should have videos up sometime tomorrow
Yeah You were talking with Titty and then i had to leave, but we talked like,m briefly
-
I love going to shows all the time and as far as the personal concert experience goes, this was the best of my life.
Definitely one of the best (When you 'hang out in the fancy bars with the boys that play guitar' like I do, shows are always amazing)
-
Jen- we are a dirty town- muddy waters after all
He was proud of us, but he had us do it again until he decided we were even
And the event staff was much nicer- I remember meeting you last year with Titty. They just made us stand against the wall. No photography and then whoever was with mika was like 'oh they can take photos' so the security was like 'fine, take photos, no flash' and the woman was like 'flash is FINE' and totally put the security guard in his place
-
Great report! Thanks so much!
Question, if you remember, how much did the shirts cost?
30 bucks
25 for a signed limited edition poster
15 for a tote
20 and 12 for cds if they were signed or not
10 for a pin pack
10 for a poster

So I got to the venue like, two and a half hours early and he was already in dress rehersal. As you read on my tweets, we could hear him through the doors! Met some random people and an amazing photographer (Kat Tale TV if you're interested). Finally got in, found my seat- sixth row just to the right, which was good
Gary Go was the opening act. He was really good, I was impressed, but Mika's opening acts are always good. Left half way through to buy some overpriced merch. Came back and waited around for like, half an hour for Mika. Found out that Rubberducky (?) was sitting behind me
Oh My God. Everyone went crazy when the band came out. And I screamed when i saw Ian McKellen (Seriously one of my heros) on the TV. I was in such a hurry to get pics of Mika out of his space suit that they're all blurry but mika ended up ripping his pants during Relax, so I got one of him with his knickers have exposed. I seriously want to know how he sang and was getting dressed at the same time...
Big Girl was fun and amazing, and so much glow in the dark stuff. Wish the big girls had danced more, that's the whole point of the song. Stuck in the middle was played on Piano, and it was amazing. Mika never fails to amaze me when he's playing and singing at the same time. He did his "Louis Armstrong" Impression, and he was quite good at it too.
He ran off stage and came back with a funky hat for Dr. John, which he promptly dropped and then got back. Blue eyes was next, and he had this floating blue eyes on the stage that came and went during the chorus. Toouches you was AMAZING. So much jumping around... I just wanted to touch him xD.
he played Pick up Off the floor on Piano. It brought tears to my eyes he did it so beautifully. One foot boy was next, funky hat was back. Before blame it on the girls, he came out with a marionette tea pot and got 'dragged' off stage and then the teapot came out with a mika doll! it was really cute. Blame it on the girls was so much fun. He split the audience up and made us compete to see how was loudest.
Happy ending was so funny- he messed up on the words. I think this was where he had a brief costume change. But once we got over that, I was crying through it (the stage, the lighting, Mika... it was all too gorgeous). Billy Brown, I see you (I still think of it as I'm falling...) and Love today, with mika falling around and climbing on stuff a lot. Somewhere in here, he stole some guy's drink and drank it on stage, haha
Costume change (I think it was here) during the storm sequence, then rain. It's one of my least favorites ( I know, gasp) but it was amazing live... how can you not like anything-mika live. Climbing on drumsets and love today with a weird glow in the dark mask... Was sad he didn't do the whole drumming on a can during it. We are Golden was pretty golden. Everyone was screaming their heads off, it was chaos, people were in the aisles, again, and security pushed us away, again, but it was totally worth it
End of the show, then mika came out for an encore. He played Toy boy on piano, complete with a marionette toy boy! Then we had some Grace Kelly and ended with a sped of version of Lollipop. Silver ballons were everywhere, and i gave up on photos.
Met up outside with some people and we waited about an hour and then Mika came out! It was raining and a lot of people, so no hugs and no pictures with him, but he signed stuff and let us take flash photos! (last show at orpheum they said no).
I'm sure I'm missing details, but it's midnight and I'm exhausted.
I'll post photos sometime tomorrow... not the best, because I was so like 'gah!'
