If I hadn't come to this straight from Philly I may have liked it more.

 

I may see him one more time, and not bother with queuing up or getting up front, because I seem to enjoy things more when it's more relaxed. To be frank, Mika just doesn't connect with me live very much, so he doesn't make all the discomfort that goes along with being up front worth it. In this case, I think it's just me. Or me and Mika. We don't click. Which is fine, I can still love his albums and music and all that, but the point of being up front at concerts is so you feel some kind of connection with the singer, right? He never delivers it for me, either at concerts or after shows. I never feel he looks at me or anything, though I do see him looking at other people. (Admittedly I was second row and not front row, but still.) I got a hell of a lot more connection from The Midway States singer, again, both in concert and after. And I couldn't even be sure he ever was looking at me through his set, but it felt like he was for most of it. It doesn't matter whether he did, it mattered that he made me feel it. I never register Mika that way.

 

 

Anyway. The "Lollipop" mass jumping was the DUMBEST idea he ever had, seriously. I mean, it sounded great in theory, but he obviously hadn't looked at the stage set-up before he said it. If he does it again, he'd better make sure there aren't chest-high barriers and a pit before the stage. And he'd better have security helping people get on, not pushing them back. It was awesome for everyone who managed to get on, but after the first few people jumped up, there was a HUGE crushing push from the back as the whole crowd attempted to rush forward. People behind me were like "I can't breathe! I'm gonna die!" This is NOT COOL, Mika.

Ahh the free concert was an insane wait. My friends and I were soaked and delirious. We passed the time by dancing with our umbrellas and singing show tunes. Anyone bringing speakers on saturday??!

And what time are people thinking of showing? like 2ish or noonish?

Has anyone heard anything from the recent shows?? I think well have some answers when he's doing his offish North American tour thingy. I wanna know what to expect but I also wanna be surprised but I also want mika to marry me after the show.

I started painting my Mikagasmic poster tonight! It still need a lot more color and glitter.

I'm uber excited for midway state and the finger pulse band seems pretty rockin. The worst part about early shows is the suspense for MIKA!! I can't wait!! sdkfhsdkfjh AHHHH!!! <333

I actually talk to her guitarist a lot and ALWAYS want to ask him about why they don't really mention much about Mika, but I always felt kinda weird asking.

Did she say anything else?

omg thats AWESOME! How do you know her guitarist??! I'm soo jeal.

She didnt say much else besides the norms that the PR people tell you to say. "I wish him luck - it was so much fun touring with him.." blah blah. How could she loose touch!?! If I was ever on tour I'd make sure we were BFF.

I found The Midway State kinda boring, I'm not really into that kinda music.

But OF COURSE nothing can compare to Sara B and the guys, how crazy is it to watch her all over TV now? Noone deserves it more than that girl though.

omg I know!! Its so surreal. I think I'm in her second picture on facebook from a Mika gig and now shes on every radio station! I actually did a little meet and great at a Maroon5 show and asked about Mika. She said she kinda lost touch with him =[

Sara was amazing.

I guess they're different sounding. The guys seem adorable enough. Ya never know, they might be the next big thing! Mikas awesomeness seems to rub off =]

The opening act seems pretty good. Not as good as Sara B but she's a big star now.

I'm not totally sure (and not even certain if you still need them if someone else is providing them for you), but I think you may be able to find the little packets of hand warmers at a sporting goods store like Sports Authority.

Instead of everyone just piling on the clothes, everyone should bring a little heater and we can warm up the Mika line =]

well, i don't think my chances of coming are great anymore....

 

unless someone has an extra ticket, i don't think i'm going to be spending $120-up for a ticket alone.

If you can DEFF go then i think the $120 is worth it!!

When Mika sold out at the Gramercy I cried so hard that i threw up. SOO happy there were $50 tix on ebay<3 They were originally $15 but SOOO worth it.

My last Mika dream,Mika wanted me to write a random word on his earlobe, so I wrote "Caribou" on it.

Then I got kidnapped by a mutant ninja creature, and Mika screamed in terror.

Probably the best dream I've ever had.

Thats awesome!! I looove mika dreams. I had one recently.. it involved Mika (duh) Rihanna, and Hilary Clinton.. twas a very odd night.

It's sort of a complicated situation. If I can't get to New York, I MIGHT be going to Philly. Or neither.

SOO jealous! My school was closed early 'cause of the snow. Praying for a snow day tomorrowww - that'll make is so much easier to buy tickets. My mika friends and I made plans with our parents but still, I want the satisfaction! =]
