  1. Wow, it's all over...only the memories remain. I'm back to real life today after such a whirlwind! I had such an amazing time with y'all. I really miss y'all and hope we can hang out again soon. Hopefully, he'll be back to Utah soon. I know I'll be there. Of course, Half of the MFC will be too....I think they realized that Utah rocks. LMAO!! Well, we could have told them that....:naughty:

Utah was so amazing. Even though I had a different experience in L.A, Utah will forever be the BEST!!

    Looking GOOD CHAR!:wink2:

  2. FYI... There is an article in todays Tribune about the concert. It's short and sweet.

(headline) Mika is electrifying in his scaled-back SLC show

Mika at In the Venue Friday

From the look of the line streching for blocks at In the Venue Friday night, British pop sensation Mika is no longer an unfamiliar guy in the United States (or at least Salt Lake City). It was a rare acoustic set for Mika, who usually brings a ton of bells and whistles to his shows. He said his insurance company and everyone except him wanted to cancel the show, because his opening act and most of his tour buses were stranded byh weather. Everyone who attended got a $10 refund (half the ticket price due to missing bells and whistles), but there was no need- Mika gave an electrifying show. He even characterized it as the best of his tour, after the fact. His falsetto soared above the minimalist backing and fed off the adoring crowd. He'll be back, and next time everyone will know of him.

I thought that was a cool review and wanted to share with you.:thumb_yello:

  3. Lighten up! It was a JOKE! My friend has a SENSE OF HUMOR:wink2: It was not the same girl who was yelling marry me Mika because she was back about 6 rows. Myself and my friend who seemed to "offend" you were in the 2nd row. She is not too familiar with Mika and just came to the concert to support my Love for him. I think she's pretty awesome person. Let me appologize for her behavior if you found it so offensive. She truly meant no harm and was just having a little fun. We had been standing in 35 degree weather for at LEAST 4 hours by that time and sometimes you say stupid stuff.

  4. Hi girls! OMG! It's ALMOST HERE!!!:mf_lustslow: I can't get my printer working  I'll keep working on it but I've only got a couple of free hours tonight to try. I'm sorry... I may not be able to come w/any hearts:thumbdown:. It's my little boys birthday the next day so I have to get everything ready for his BIG DAY. With or without hearts I'll see you tomorrow :blush-anim-cl:

  5. I just read on The Midway State's website that they are stuck in the biggest snow storm they have ever seen and they are not going to make thier gig tonight so they are focused on heading for SLC:boxed: . STOP SNOWING!! I'm so sick of the snow and I hope it doesn't affect Mika getting here (SLC) or his gig he is supposed to be at tonight. Who know's.

  6. Mika! How awesome would it be if you covered Prince's song... I wanna be your lover. I was listening to that album this weekend and all I could think was how great you could make that song! Not that it's not great allready but if Mika did it...:punk:

  7. There's no reason to take what you say in a bad way ! Nobody's gonna kill you :wink2:

I agree with what you said, with the whole signification of the video and everything, that in the end, no matter big or whatever, we're all beautiful (biiiiiig shortcut :wink2: )... But you have to agree that as "real" that it's supposed to be, you don't "really" see big girls in tiny laced bright coloured undies walking down the street :wink2: I'm exagerating of course. So it's not supposed to look THAT real...

But once again, talking only about the quality of the video (different plans, cuts...), the time they spend thinking about it before doing the video, the implication of the dancers and so on, it's not really what i could call something well done... They didn't have to take the bitch attitude to dance in an implicated way ! They just had to believe in what they were doing... And it doesn't look like they were believing in anything BUT "how ridiculous am i at the moment" (no offense at all). It looks like it's been done in a rush.

Yes, I absolutely agree with you. I wonder if they would have done some shots of a "big girl" in a professional environment that is absoultly beautiful and classy and some hot guy just notices her and appreciates her beauty....maybe they would have some type of flirtatious exchange? You know some scenes that show everyday life scenario's. I guess that is what I hoped the video would portray. I almost got he impression that some of the "big girls" in the video were not in a comfortable zone...so to speak.

  8. I thought I would post my opinion and pray to god I don't offend anyone on here. I saw the video this morning and I could'nt believe how poorly it was put together. We all know how AMAZING Mika's creativity is and maybe the video was not his idea at all...(I hope).

I am a "Big Girl", I've been big all my life, I fight w/my obesity everyday and I will never stop. I think being big is fine "if" your healthy. I feel like glorifying obesity does not do some of us "Big Girls" any favors. I guess I hoped there would be a little more "class" to the video. I felt almost embarrassed to watch it. The song is beautiful and sweet and shows what a genuine person our Mika is...but the video seemed so....uh, I don't know. I can't believe how dissappointing it was for me, and I NEVER thought I could feel this way about anything Mika does. Now don't get me wrong, I still love, love our Mika and will ALWAYS support him. Maybe I just don't "get it" as Mika would say.
