In this way I will never forget that little surprise of my luck, that me and Mika wore the (approximately) same shirt! :fangurl:

wow you really did wear the same shirt!! oh that's so sweet!!! :biggrin2: I love your avatar pic! :aah:

First: What a nice report, Kriszti! :wub2:

and oh that's so lovely! I have some of those too and I was really wodnering what on Earth I could do with them now. The ones from Paris last year, I have stuck on my signed poster, but now I got my CD (ultra)signed and I don;t have anywhere to stick them...Maybe I'll do something cute around my room with them.

thanks! I also could not just throw them away...it was so weird because the morning after the show I still had like tons of confetti around my room...I brought home a lot with myself without knowing it :biggrin2: loved the show!

It was really nice meeting you too!

  2. Finally I wrote my report too:

I really had a dream come true going to MIKA's amazing show in Vienna! I took the train from my small hometown and headed to Vienna. I was so excited and was listening to all MIKA songs along the way. Then I arrived with the metro to Gasometer where the show took place around 3. After being a bit lost I finally found the other determined and very sweet MIKA fans (many from MFC) who were queuing there since morning :) I had a pleasure meeting everyone and especially the Hungarian MFCers! As we were queuing we spent a great time talking, taking pictures and just dreaming about the show! We were so lucky that the first 50 of us were let in the building earlier and I was 46! So yeah I also got in first and could stand in the FIRST ROW during the show! YAY! that was awesome! We were waiting for the show to start. The opening band was Zweitfrau, an Austrian band and they performed some cool songs but I don't remember any because I was so thrilled to finally see MIKA live at a show!!! So at 9 pm the wait was over and the first song which was RAIN started and MIKA suddenly appeared on stage!!! I was breathless!!! I just could not believe to see him in front of me!!!! He was so close!!!! He looked amazing and the whole show was FANTASTIC!!!! He even tried to show off with his cute German XD He is sooo smart and funny!!! I just love his personality!!! I was dancing, singing, jumping throughout the show and loved every minute of it!!!! When it was over me and Alexa who is another sweet hungarian MIKA fan headed to the merchandise booth to buy some MIKA goodies....I got hold of 2 beautiful MIKA t-shirts!!! Can't wait to wear them already!!! Then, we hurried outside to catch MIKA for an autograph before he leaves. The band was so sweet and saying nice things as they left and finally MIKA came out as well!!! He was so adorable and friendly with everyone!!! I could tell he was very tired, still, he signed everything. I also could manage to give him my present which was a very colorful, MIKA inspired bracelet painted by me in a little heart shaped boxy! He was sooo sweet!!! He looked at it and smiled and then thanked me!!! I felt like in heaven!!!! Then I took lots of pics and we said goodbye to him! I had such a great time and didn't want it be over!!! But I'm left with amazing memories and can't wait until he comes back again to our part of the world!!!!!!!!!:biggrin2:

oh and thanks everyone for the the amazing pics and videos, I just can't get enough of them! :mf_lustslow:

  3. Hiya!

I am back from the coolest gig ever! :kachinga:

I must confess I had mixed feelings about going to Vienna because you don’t know what you can expect in small countries where Mika is hardly known at all. Also, with so many first gig-goers you’d almost expect a little bit of overexcitement (i.e. pushing). However, none of that happened. In fact, there was a most perfect combination of excitement and appreciation for Mika and really polite behaviour both during queueing and at the gig. The first 50 people arriving were from 15 different countries – most representing the ex Hamsburg empire, of course. :king: ( :biggrin2: )

The concert itself didn’t start too promising: the venue had a stange layout and the support act was rather ’funny’ ( ) but we couldn’t really laugh because we had cameras in our face throughout their performance. (:annoyed_h4h: ) I was trying to hide in embarrassment except when we were covered all in smoke as a result of someone experimenting with smoke machines left over from the eighties.

When the supporting band finished we saw more, much bigger cameras arriving – it turned out that they’d be filming the first 3 songs. (For online viewing only – so we were told, anyway. )

Then the lights went out and and the show was about to begin …. You could hear from the cheers that it will be a lively gig and a very active and reactive audience.

Rain, Big Girl and Stuck in the Middle were recorded and the crew left smoothly. You could actually feel from Stuck in the Middle onwards that it will be a great night. And it was! :groovy: You could tell that Mika loved the audience because of their involvement with the show. :pinkbow:

I am not going into details about the show again because I have ’analysed’ it already. The only real difference was the atmosphere and I was really pleased about it because if partly felt like a home gig.:blush-anim-cl:

Before the show we were talking about how many fans who have never been to concerts abroad think that the best atmosphere must be in London. It was far not the case with this tour at all, in my opinion. I only attended 4 shows in the UK (2 in London) and the audience was much more in touch with Mika in both Belfast and Bristol.

Anyway, my conclusion is that these relatively small, ’melting pot’ gigs are absolutely worth attending and I can only recommend it to anyone :thumb_yello:

PS: IT WAS LOVELY TO MEET YOU ALL!

well said! :thumb_yello: it was really worth going! loved it! I have lots of pics that I will upload and send the link to you guys!
