  1. Hi everyone,

Been a long time since I came on to the site.

Anyway, I'm not in Lebanon anymore - I went to Spain first to take my dog to my Mum's house to stay (my baby dog is now with her Teta & Jidou :)

then I came to London. We've been here for a couple of weeks now and we're getting used London's weather (rain, rain, rain).

How is everyone anyway? I didn't forget you - I was just travelling or busy...

  2. Hi guys,

Been ages since I came on the site.

    How's everyone?

Well, looks like I'll soon be leaving Lebanon to go and live in London. I think it'll be in the next 2 or 3 weeks that I leave. But, I'll definitely come back here for holidays :)

  3. Yeah, the whole situation is so terrible and so frustrating, like you said, seems some people try their best to keep the bloodshed on, I'll never understand wars and warmongers. You're right, most people in Spain are absolutely pro-Lebanon and Palestine, and that makes ir even sadder to read the papers every morning and find nothing we do seems to be leading to peace.

Well, we'll wait biting our neals and thinking over and over gain what's it about!

Yes you're right - when I was in Palestine, Spain was very involved with a lot of projects and Barcelona is twinned with Gaza City (where I lived) and they did so much to help and the people involved were just so nice - I have a lot of good memories with them.

Am going to try and sleep now but it's so hot here today - aah I miss the English bad summer sometimes :)

  4. Hey hun!!!!! Great to read you!!!:roftl: I'm soooo gald you're fine. I know about that bomb that killed five Spanish soldiers, well, no comments about that, it's sad enough...

Yeah, I thought today was D-Day, but there seems to be nobody around...

Yes, I saw that the soldiers were Spanish - that's sad, especially 'cos Spain is good to this region. Hmmm anyway, it just gets me annoyed when I think about what certain people are doing to hurt the country and cause trouble for everyone.

It looks like we may have to wait for the surprise then...?

  5. Damn...

    This MUST STOP right now!!

Lara, are you ok these days? Hope so.

    Hi,

Thanks for asking, yeah I'm ok but I just got a bit busy so I haven't had chance to get on MFC site very often.

Bad news today about the bomb, especially as it was targetting brave people just doing their job and trying to help others. I guess some people just don't want to live in peace  Hopefully things will be better soon though, but I'm not so sure.

  10. Hey everyone,

Sorry, I've been a bit busy recently...

How's everyone? Jasmine - I tried pm-ing you but my internet connection's really slow and it won't work.

Cubes, where are you?? Do you know if you're still coming here for your holidays?

  11. Hi everybody,

Sorry I haven't been able to get on here for a few days...

    Anyway, how's everyone?

I've been reading all the messages about food and it's making me want to eat now :)

Well, things here are pretty bad but at least so far I'm away from the trouble.

I've missed the lebanese thread :)

  12. Goddddd you're making me feel hungry!!!! :)

I can't eat Baba Gannouj cos I became allergic to aubergines and I really miss them.

OK, so, ur all familiar with Lebanese and Middle Eastern food.... what's ur favourite??

  13. Wow, good pics... especially the 3rd one:)

About the news... it was as a news flash on LBC and the other local channels just after it happened but I couldn't find anything on the internet news about it.

    How's everyone anyway?

  14. Oh God, not again! Where has it been? Are there any victims? Are you okay? This is a nightmare!

    Hi,

It was in a part of Beirut called Barbir and it was thrown off a bridge. Some police and civilians got injured... that's all I know about it really...

  15. Hi there....lara i really don't know what i'm gonna do...either i'll stay here and work in the summer or i'll go to leb but i'm just waiting the ok from the hospital..if it's ok then i think i'll stay against my will though *sigh* i heard that the adsl arrived in lebanon....so i guess you'll have a faster internet connection from now on right ?

    Hi Cubes...

I hope you can get over here this summer...

Yeah ADSL is here but I don't have it yet. I don't know if it's just Beirut or not - I'm very stupid when it comes to things like that :roftl:

So I'm still on dead slow internet connection:thumbdown:

    How's your weekend anyway?

  16. YAY Lara you're here!! and you're alright!!! That makes me so happy!!

    how are things now??

actually the 3000 dollars was for her insurance, the tickets were only 6000 swedish kr, which is a little less than 1000 dollars.

    Hi,

Things here are the same as before I think - nothing new at the moment...

I can't believe how expensive it is for insurance... it's way too expensive - is it normally like that??

  17. I'm here :)

I'm sooooo bored - everything's closed so there's nowhere to go tonight.

    Wow - $3000 for a plane ticket???!! that's mad!

Ha ha ha ha ha I didn't know that about what Teta means in Spanish :roftl:

Cubes are you still coming to Lebanon in the summer or decided against it?

By the way - where's Sou???

  18. Hi everyone,

Cubes, if Mika doesn't do a concert in Lebanon - I think you'll have to take his place and serenade Beirut with Relax :roftl:

Thanks Monshi and everyone for your nice messages too.

Welcome to our Spanish friends :thumb_yello: Actually my Mum has just moved to Spain - to a little village called Guajar Faraguit - do you know it? It's in the south and it looks alot like Lebanon with the mountains and things - I hope to visit there soon...

Well, hope you all have a good day :)

  19. شكرا شكرا والف مرة شرا :roftl:

Thank you all tons for your warm welcome to us Spanish Lebanon lovers, you're great:thumb_yello: And thank you, LebAngel, for the amazing pix, just LOVE them and remind me of preciuos moments spent there...

Lara, I don't know that place, Guajar Faraguit, I think it's near Granada, isn't it? Wonderful place to be any time. How long has she been there? Is she well in Spain? How long does she plan to stay? Uf, too many questions, huh?:wink2:

Yeah - that's right, it's near Granada. My Mum bought the house a few years ago and would go there for holidays but now she's retired (she used to be a Spanish teacher in England) so she's living there permanently - I've never been but the pictures look nice; all narrow streets and little white houses :)
