    Hey all!! Random post coming up...

     

    The other night at work a friend and I were doing a music trivia for songs that became Number 1 in the 2000's. It is timed and there were 30 or so songs so I was just blurting out artists and my friend typed them when I saw the song 'Lollipop' and of course I yelled out Mika in my excitement cuz who wouldn't right? :wink2:

     

    Turns out it was a song by Lil Wayne....I prefer Mika's Lollipop :roftl:

    Ah, awesome. Was school hard?

     

    Yes and very time consuming!!! I would be in school for 8 hours a day then come home and study for a couple of hours everyday. Then for most of the day on Sundays. Had to take Saturday off :naughty:

     

    I took Medical Laboratory Technology and in Saskatchewan we do the course in 2 years...everywhere else in Canada does it in 3!! Not fair... My entire second year was the practical portion so I got to work for free Monday to Friday whoo hoo :mf_rosetinted: then come home and do assignments and write exams.

     

    Worth in now tho!! I love my job! :biggrin2:

     

    :lmao: must be because we hibernate in winter :dunno:

    I hope Obama doesn't suddenly appear when Mika is suppose to come on. :sneaky2: GMA and this is the closest I'll be getting to hearing Mika in concert until who knows when so if Obama messes this up......... Well I'll just change the channel. Watcha gonna do? :naughty:

     

    :roftl: I felt the same way!! I had worked a night shift and stayed up those few extra hours to see Mika even though I was completely exhausted then I saw Obama and the show was done!! I was sooo mad!!

    Hey ALL!!!

     

    Have a fabulous time!! This gig is going to be awesome and supper before hand is going to be so much fun!!

     

    I wish I could be there but once again, the timing (and money) of Mika's gigs hardly work for me :wink2: (kjkalfjoeiajkSCHOOLal;kfjoe;iajef;kea)

     

    Anyway...I can't wait for all the gig reports and pics and vids!!! Miss you all and hope I can be there next time!! :group_hug:

    these guys are really great!!! Back in 2003 my husband won a contest with Much Music and we got to invite 20 other people to go meet and greet with the guys and also to attend their soundcheck/pizza party. It was a really exciting and memorable experience.

    Our Lady Peace has got to be my all time favorite band!!! :punk:

    I have seen them perform only twice but have followed them since they first started!!! They are amazing musicians!!!:band:

     

    Oh and Raine is pretty easy on the eyes too! :mf_lustslow:

    A lot of the media cast him as the arrogant guy but to his fans he is awesome!!! At the last performance I saw, he asked if anyone had managed to sneak a camera or a recording device past security...he went up to the second balconcy, grabbed one girls camera and said "We are performing a new song, one that no one has heard and I want you to record it then go home tonight and put it on the internet!!" then sang the song holding her camera, from the second balcony. At that same gig, he left the stage, went up to the third balcony (very small venue, it was awesome!!) and grabbed everyone from the third balcony and pulled them onstage for 2 songs!!! He said they were too far away and felt they would enjoy the show better from there!! What a guy!!:blush-anim-cl:

    *pats thread fondly* It was well overdue for a bump, I agree.

     

    I'm alright, although having the day off today has sort of messed up my internal clock. :blink:

    Oh I hate when that happens...today I was okay but on Saturday I still manage to wake up at 6:30 am...not impressed at all...

     

    I mean, just cuz I catch the bus at that time Mon-Fri does not mean I have to wake up super early everyday...:thumbdown:
