I would think it would be received better if it was only for the live show but until people get over whatever it is about her that bothers them, there is no way to know and I don't think it will happen anytime in the near future, that's for sure.

Not well, I'm guessing...there are still people on here that are just plain vicious when talking about her; I can't imagine giving her a larger part would make them kinder to her.

I agree.....I don't know what the big problem is with Sara....she hasn't done anything wrong...she doesn't try to upstage Mika....everything she does is because Mika has said "This is how the show will go" and if she did anything he didn't like, he would let her know immediately.

We never got a chance to chat with Sara at all....and I was at 3 gigs!!! It would've been nice but she and Cherisse always seemed to be ushered into the venues before everyone else.

I like her....I do but I think I am still living in the past and am holding on to the original band

She is incredibly talented and I loved her performance in Montréal when she sang SexyBack and she and Mika dueted on When Doves Cry!! It was amazing!!!

Mika's show is always changing and who knows....one day Sara may actually have a bigger part in Mika's songs...like an actual duet with Mika on a song he wrote?

i dunno about Sara though...i didn't really notice her in SLC.

Sara is talented (and I realize I did not include her in my initial post) but I don't know if I am as big a fan of her as I am of the rest of the band. I like her and have no problem with her on stage (except when she gets in my way while trying to take pics of Mika true story). She is a backup singer and other than the duet with Mika, she really isn't a huge part of the show....does that sound rude? It's not supposed to be.

In Toronto we got a chance to chat with Luke and we told him that he should release an album of his songs cuz we all would buy it and he said "Really? I can't do that" like he didn't want to do anything outside of Mika's world

He couldn't believe our response to his music....

I say paper sunglasses. You can make them yourself, you just need the right attitude.

Okay so this whole thing started on MSN actually....

I was bored with the lame emoticons on my aMSN for Mac and learned how to make custom ones and since the three of us loved this little guy , I decided to steal it so we could use it on MSN cuz it is just that awesome

So we used it so much and we often joked about how it would be nice to be able to use it in real conversations....on Skype sunshine931 and I had drawn it and would flash it on the screen when we felt the need

So when I was in Montréal for the Mika gig, I had originally found an ugly pair of pink sunglasses at a little store in the Winnipeg airport (nothing else to do).

We ended up going to an Ardénes store in Montréal and got matching glasses and carried them with us the whole trip...just in case

The pic of the three of us was taken right after the fateful shopping trip!!!

So there is the story!! It's fun...

Oh and if you don't happen to have pink sunglasses and feel the need to "use" this particular smiley in your everyday life,you can always pretend to put on the sunglasses....

I was actually in shock when I saw the thread posted about a rumour that Mikey had left the band

It was almost devastating!! To think that the next gig you go to, there would be no more Mikey (or any of the band members) doing their solo or seeing that Mika-band member interaction anymore.

Would the drum solo be the same if it wasn't Cherisse and Mika battling it out and watching Mika pour water on Cherisse while she doesn't expect it....

Would the Mika-Mikey bum wiggle be the same in Big Girl?

Would the new keyboard player be able to hit that right note on the keyboard during Grace Kelly when Mika can't get it?

And would Love Today sound the same if Martin didn't get his solo on the acoustic guitar?

Sure I think we may be too attached to the band members but honestly, there has never been a solo artist with a band that is more a part of the artists performance than Mika's band....

Most bands are just there to back the artist (just my opinion...) and aren't incorporated as a part of the act.

We all know what song features which band member and look forward to the live performance because of that special moment....

I also realize, like everyone has said, that this is not the first band for these members and it may not be their last. I just want to live in the moment and enjoy them being part of Mika's band and not worry about it until I absolutely have to
