canada is so huge! lol I have always been wondering: saskatchewan, does this name have indian origins?

It sure does. Saskatchewan is actually Cree for "swift flowing river" which makes sense since the Saskatchewan river branches and flows through Prince Albert (my hometown) and Saskatoon right into to Alberta, our neighboring province.

I really like Rufus Wainwright. I don't actually own any of his albums but if his song is on the radio (which they really don't play here) or his video's come on, I don't change the station. His songs are amazing and his voice is different. I hate turning on the radio and hearing the same sound on all the stations. One day I almost threw my stereo faceplate out the car window because on 3 out of 4 stations, they were playing Coldplay (I'm sorry, I'm not a fan, all their songs sound the same to me)!!!! I try to give the radio stations a chance and then they blow it by doing this!!!

Okay, sorry, that was an uncalled for rant. *whew* I feel better..

only 3 of my friends like mika... there are so many stupid people who "hate" mika because of his "childish behaviour" or his clothes. yesterday i had an argument with a very stupid boy who doesn't believe mika's story (the reason he became famous with grace kelly)... he's of the opinion that mika is a fake i don't care just love his music!!!

Maybe it's because I'm getting older (well, I'm only 25) and I love hanging out with my neice and nephew more than my friends sometimes, but having fun and not caring what anyone else thinks is not childish.

It took me years to realize that it doesn't matter what people think of me. As long as I'm having fun, I don't care how stupid or "childish" I appear. My parents just laugh whenever I tell them stories about the things my friends and I do. As long as it's not illegal, they don't care.

Exactly! People are stupid to care about his sexuality and not his music. Actually I feel sorry for them in a way, cause they're so narrow minded and they just can pass the borders in their heads. This is sad.

 

It's one thing not to like the type of music he makes but it's other to hate (!!) or dislike him because of the way he looks or acts.

The only song they've heard by Mika is Grace Kelly and they won't even listen to his other songs. Maybe I'll have to play his cd and not tell them and then when they aren't being so completely, rediculously, ignorantly biased they may actually like his music.

I have Mika's picture on my phone as a background and when I opened the phone the other day one of my friends was like: " Oh, he's so gay! " I didn't say anything back because I really wasn't in the mood to fight and above all it's stupid to fight about something like that.

In my personal opinon men are just jealous because Mika is really super cute and I think that most of them envy him his hair. Seriously.

I know exactly what you mean. A friend of mine made fun of me for having a pic of Mika on my phone and I actually snapped!!! She called him gay (of course. come up with another insult, please) and I said (being pretty drunk at the time, as it was my birthday) "Don't talk sh*t about what you don't know and what does it matter anyway? It's not like I'm marrying the guy (although....jk). What does his sexuality have to do with his music?"

Needless to say, my friends left me alone. I just roll my eyes and ignore them now. If you don't like his music, fine, but don't call him names. The guy isn't even there to defend himself. Get over it!!

I haven't had any crazy dreams. The one I really remember is of Mika and I going clothes shopping (what?). We had fun. Found some good stuff....

Most of my dreams lately are about school...only one week left and then I can maybe have dreams that don't have me stuck in a lab!!

I know. The Youtube version is so fuzzy and blurry (I've even tried putting on my glasses:biggrin2: , and it makes no difference). I watched a little clip of the video from iTunes UK and it was so clear!!! When will it come to Canada!!!

I don't understand why the LT vid has not been released yet... the song's been playing on the radio for a few weeks now... why not on tv ?

I really wish Saskatchewan wasn't so behind the rest of the country....I haven't heard Love Today on the radio at all (although, I don't really listen to the radio because they play the same songs over and over here). I bet it will be the end of June or something rediculous before they start playing Love Today:bleh:
