i'm not much of a poet.. just wrote this one poem.. it's kinda sad unlike my usual self.. i hope it makes sense.. let me know what you think

 

Articles lay around

The background music to my life

But not another sound

Externally

 

But on the other side

The dwelling, I can hear the needles drop

Its piercing

A surface, a cycle, a hurricane of emotions

The sound of letting go

 

Inside out

So self absorbed, inwards and around

Conformity, reality, tranquillity and explosion

To question, conjecture

There’s someone in the distance

 

Collisions

Hard, shiny, polished surfaces

Scraping and scratching

Screech eternally

Some swelling

Plane damage

 

It grows, inhabits

Takes over, inhibits

Liberation, tied down

Reach out

No person in the distance

 

Awaiting a reaction

Combination, a clump, a knot, a sudden contraction

Bang, let loose

Expansion

Interesting!!!

This is my most recent painting. Unfortunately, I don't think it photgraphed as well as it looks in real life. It makes me feel soo happy. It's not the most techincal thing I've done, but it just makes me feel good- I had a lot of fun painting it.

 

Maybe I'll post more later.

Hello my dear friends...

 

Sometimes I have random thoughts that I would like to share with all of you, just to make you know, or to have a short chat, but I never find the right place, so I write it on my threads or just give up...

 

But tonight I thought...would be silly to open a thread about what comes into our head?

 

I know there are already some places (youngling-middleling-oldling threads) but they are only for some ppl...and I want to share my thoughts with ALL of you!

 

They can be sad, happy, funny or crazy...but they're the mirror of our mind

I know just how you feel, I feel the same way too.Thoughts that keep sneaking into my head, some funny, some naughty ,some profound and some silly.I some times don't know what to do with them, but now I'm glad I can share them here.

This is my first post here and I would like to introduce myself. I am a teacher in his thirties living in the Caribbean and until my visit to Europe last December I had not really heard about Mika!

I heard Relax, Take It Easy and Grace Kelly once or twice but had no clue who Mika was. Now I know and I just love love love his music. It is so fresh and uplifting and I have decided to find out about all things Mika.

And that is where this forum comes in... I hope to learn a lot about our idol!

Happy birthday to the MFC.

 

I've played for other bands and artists before and few have had fans as polite and generous as Mika's. I'm not saying though his aren't the maddest.

 

Look forward to seeing those of you in the States and Canada in the next few weeks. As you can imagine we're really busy in rehearsals right now...

 

Keep an eye on my myspace... I'm thinking about trying out some new tunes at some point. Might just leave them up for a day and get your opinions.

Here's a poem I wrote about 2 years ago:

 

Sleep tight

 

That slumbering state

between asleep

and awake

When dreams become real

and reality seems fake

 

That beautiful place

in which you

can't find a trace

But that's okay

you're caught in a daze

 

That mindnumbing time

when you can

cross every line

I wish it could last

it feels so damn fine

Wonderful, that slumbering state!! unfortunately that is when the alarm bell rings and....

im agreeing, that was brilliant!!!!

 

I feel confused, but fully sorted out.

I feel like smiling, but my lips form a pout.

I feel like crying three big buckets full of tears,

I feel like laughing non- stop for the rest of my years.

Sometimes I feel sleepy, but at the same time fully awake.

Sometimes I think I’m sick, I’m not really sure if it’s fake.

I wonder around aimlessly, yet I have a dream.

I’m really getting frustrated now, I think I’m going to scream.

Whatever this is, I’m not really sure, it can only be felt, not touched or seen, there really is no cure.

I think its love, if I’m right that is the name.

I had no idea what it felt like till it came,

It can harm as I know, but it is also kind.

It’s a really rare feeling and one that is hard to find!!!

Congratulations! Well done on both winning the calendar and on educating your radio station to play Mika. It's funny that Mika was on the calendar.... I looked and looked at the shops before Christmas to see if there was a Mika calendar out with no success. Obviously this one is not all about him, but I didn't know he'd turned up in any... And yes, may it be Christmas (ie December) in your house for the whole year!!

Yes, you are right, MIKA music makes the whole atmosphere so festive, it feels like Christmas all the time!!!!

Hi all mothers club members,

This is pam, I was away for a long time and am back again.

Out here, not many people know about MIKA, he may never perform here, he doesn't even come on the TV much, but of late, me and my kids have been requesting for MIKA songs on the radio regularly, and finally they have decided to take our requests and have started playing MIKA!

For requesting and answering MIKA questions, my daughter and son both have won a 2008 calender and happily surprised to see that MIKA is on it! And now we only have December 2008 calender displayed in all our rooms, obviously because thats where MIKA is featured.

Hi its pam again. I'm from Delhi, India. I don't know if there is any other MIKA fan from my country, if there are any I would like to get in touch with them or help if I can!!! It takes time for any new artist to make his/her presence felt in here, but I'm sure in MIKA's case it will happen sooner than later.

How can they do that? How can they ignore someone so talented and is so popular? This is insane, total injustice, any way, MIKA doesn't need any music chanel to boost him up, he has the capacity to make so many people happy, I doubt any of the other nominated songs can even come close to any of MIKA songs.They may not give him awards, but making millions happy is something they cannot take away from him.
