  1. :kaf:    I can still hardly write about what happened in Osaka. It's like a dream

The show had so many amazing moments. He sang Good wife, which was lovely, I appreciated that he did it in Osaka, because he skipped it in Tokyo. But when he did Any other world, I was transported back to 2010, when I had screamed endlessly at him for that song.  And in Osaka, I didn't even have to ask for it!!

In one song (Relax I think) I had been making hand gestures in a feeble attempt to get Max to reduce the bass (not his singing, as Mika later said!) because the sound was so bass-heavy we couldn't even hear Mika well. After a couple more songs like that I realised it was the thumping on the bass drum that was interfering with the sound, but I couldn't exactly go back and say, oh Max it wasn't you after all. This all resulted in a very unexpected twist at the end, I almost thought I was going to be named and shamed.

The hilariousness of this was captured in Nina's and my videos, hers from the back and mine from, well..... Mika's neck.  :fisch:

You must have already seen Tomomi's video where Mika couldn't work out how to say the Japanese for I only love you when I'm drunk. Why did he ask me? Thousands of Japanese people standing all around me!!

Here is the full list of my videos (and please, can we get this straight? NO re-uploading on your own channel, just share these links or make a YT playlist if you like them):

  2. It was awesome! I'm glad I went. Thank you everyone. It was lovely finally putting faces to names.

Mika was so generous that night. The show was awesome and the way he interacted was sooo cool too!

Hope to meet you all again someday.

Still have limited internet access and still traveling. Peace, love. Take care all. No photos from me yet... will sort out when I can sort out. They aren't many anyway, I'm always too mesmerised to capture anything.

  3. Happy Birthday dear Mika :blush-anim-cl:

Hope you have the best birthday EVER!!

I cannot believe you are 30!! You were only 22 back then!! Crazy how time flies... thanks for all the joy all these years. Everybody rides on the Karma Train.. for the joy you bring you know where you're heading... :wink2:

Take care.. much love :huglove: from me.

  4. I was very un-regular-teenager like back then:naughty:.

    And still, now I am a very un-regular-twentysomething :mf_rosetinted:

    Not regular is GOOD! :thumb_yello:

:aah::aah: i would be too...and maybe he was in the earlier days but then crazies come out and you're better off not knowing :teehee:

I've been super lucky and have managed to meet and exchange a few short words after every gig I've seen (though I was resigned to it not happening in DC - and when it did it was just all the nicer) I agree with the thinking that you don't expect it, but try your best to make it happen and if it doesn't then it wasn't meant to be...THAT time :wink2:

I also have no idea if he recognises/remembers me but I don't exactly blend in with the rest of the crowd so who knows :aah:

He probably does :blush-anim-cl: I think it's easier to recognise some, more than others... early crazy fans easier to recognise I guess cause there were few of us. I've been lucky from the start of my Mika journey. Love every part of it :wub2:

i was one of polka dot choir... what can i say??

oh yeah.. singing with Mika was AH-MAZING.... its a dream came true for me.. but being in front row (dancing, singing, jumping) is AWESOME too.. so.. don't be sad if you're not in the polka dot choir...

we were jumping and singing along at the backstage too but just a few of us there.. and the promoter crew gave us "did they took the wrong pills??" look.. HAHAHA..

just forget the bad things, guys...... saw his live performance was more than good enough for me... hopefully he'll come around sometimes.. maybe to singapore, malaysia, Philipphine, Thailand, any country nearby cuz i'm gonna be there for sure..

Glad you had an awesome experience. Which one was you? The only person I know who was in the choir was Asti. Hope to see you at Mika's next South East Asia gig :blush-anim-cl:

  5. I'm not good in making reports, you know :) But today I was on the stage with Mika so I suppose I need to write something ;) What can I say, he is so kind, so warm and very soft :D Yes, I've hugged him :D and stepped on his big toe cos he was only in socks, sorry, Mika :'( And moreover he's remembered me from Paris and we talked a bit about Siberia again ;) About Russian music as well and about my trip to Japan :) Can't believe it's already over :'( Can't wait to see all the photos and videos. I tried to do my best!

    Awesome!! :thumb_yello:

Wonderful show, have to run to airport now, but I will report back later.

We had lots of fun getting him to remember Popular after forgetting it in Tokyo:fisch:

I have uploaded 2 videos, Popular and Stardust, more later.

He came out again after and patiently signed for hundreds of fans, it was just wonderful. Everyone is going home on that fantastic Mika high...especially the Korean MFCers who know they will see him again in 2 days.:aah:

It was so great to meet everyone, and to see the polka dot choir MFCers up there having a great time!!!:thumb_yello:

So glad your trip was worthwhile.... :huglove:

great to see you in person Iona ,and Tomomi, and other kind japanese fans and Zhenya.

am in Kansai airport for my flight to Seoul. will be back soon!

Sorry Mika I didnt memorized all the lyrics for you. LOL

gotta study the lyrics on my way back home...:mf_rosetinted:

Japan & Korea 2 amazing places to see Mika. One day I'll see him in both places!! & meet you too. Safe. :thumb_yello:

  6. YAY!!

I'm back, very tired, not sure if the videos will upload during the night.

    He forgot to sing Popular:sneaky2:

    Just to remind him

MIKA PLEASE SING POPULAR IN OSAKA TOMORROW

The crowd was horrendous, it was basically a battle for survival and unbelieveably hot being squished on all sides. Not conducive to relaxing and enjoying the good music when you have to stand on one foot, clothes being almost torn off, one arm trapped above my head, and some girl beside me who kept trying to elbow her way in. And the boy in front of me who didn't dance but bobbed his head wildly from side to side every song made filming a challenge! I felt like tapping him on the shoulder and asking him to just stop it.:aah:

Everyone seemed very happy both before and after the show, we all met up with various MFCers and groups, and then when we went in, everyone was fine until that first note of music then the CRUSH began.

I know Mika was playing songs from his earlier albums to keep Japanese fans happy, but we are all a bit over the Billy Brown/Stuck in the middle era, and were really looking forward to Make you happy/Popular era like in the US tour. I hope tomorrow in Osaka we get a few more from the third album.

And we did get Step with me. And love you when I'm drunk.

And biggest surprise of all, thank you Mika :flowers2: for coming out to meet the fans and sign stuff, talk to people, it's the first time in Japan that he hasn't been whisked away somewhere, and everyone was really grateful he spent the time talking to fans. Thanks for being a good popstar Mika:wub2:

    Videos uploading:

    Billy Brown (partial):

    Rain:

more uploading - I'll put the details in here in the morning.

Unfortunately it was very hard to hold the video in one hand above my head while being crushed to death, so I thought I had recorded things that it turned out I didn't, and especially I was disappointed I didn't get Stardust.

Luckily Tomomi got it, he sang it really well and I loved every minute of it:wub2:

    Tomomi's video:

Awesome updates.. Glad you met him! :blush-anim-cl:

  7. It wasn't my fault :fisch:

I think he meant you when he said that Indonesia fans are hardcore because many of them travelling around the world to see him.

Lets say he's bad at geography :teehee:

Well.. yeah when he said.. at least this time it's in your country... I was like .. NOOO.. haha..

Well, in his defense, he DOES meet a lot of people. :teehee: I mean, I'm surprised he can remember anyone at all after all the thousands upon thousands of fans he's met at this point. At least he had a general idea where Jasmin was from, right? :wink2: I've been lucky enough to exchange a few words with him every time I've met him, and he knows that I'm *DC*Deb and that the first time he met me was in Washington, DC. And yet, he still thought I was Canadian when he saw me in Iceland. :naughty: Close enough. Though I don't think he'll forget where I'm from after that meeting...

Yeah.. absolutely, too much to expect him to remember everything abt everyone.. at least he knows our faces :blush-anim-cl:

Yeah I mean we're the ones travelling to other places to see him so it's not a geography issue. I've seen him just as many times in London as I have in Canada and even more in the US. Obviously he can place our accents in North America but I wouldn't expect more than that. I did tell him I had a condo across the lake from the Sound Academy but I doubt he wrote that down in his stalker files for future reference :lmfao:

I wonder if there are other fans from Indonesia because he said something about NYC too didn't he?

Yeah.. he said NYC. And I've never been there.. but then again.. I don't think he remembers what places we met at except for Hong Kong & Singapore & now Jakarta.. easier to remember these I think. Just by looks I could be from anywhere from around the region.. at least he knows it's South East Asia.

:mf_rosetinted: That's because he knew you were with me (the "famous" one) in Montreal.

So he assumed you were Canadian :fisch:

    Hahaaaa... of course :)

It wasn't until the last Amsterdam gig when I was in the choir that he realised I was Dutch. He was very proud that he remembered it a week later. Sure hecwon't forget it now :naughty:

Ingie... you are so un-Dutch like.. even back then you speak such good English and was traveling at such a young age.

He still hasn't got a clue where Yulia is from.

Every time he sees her he makes another guess, I don't think he'll ever figure it out:naughty:

LOL!!! I often wondered what he thinks of us... whether it's like a game for him at every gig to see which crazy fan he recognises is there. And if he is curious at all about us. If I were him I'd be freaking curious to know abt my crazy fans.

  8. I've made an effort to prepare my lap _65823877_139993949.jpg

    :lmfao:

Well that's just it. I waited for it to fall in my lap in a way. :naughty: I was always around but I did not want to get into a huge crowd to ask for an autograph. These situations are half luck (in terms of how Mika is feeling/his schedule and how many other fans are there) and half persistence. If you don't persist you are going to have to get very very lucky indeed.

Anyway it is unfortunate for Indonesian fans that you've only had one chance so far and it didn't work out for some, but it doesn't mean that Mika doesn't appreciate Indonesian fans as much as he does fans in other parts of the world.

Yup .. It's good luck most of the time for me :blush-anim-cl: I have a feeling Mika will be back in Indonesia again some day. :wink2: It's Malaysia that he will ignore the rest of his touring ever. Haha

  9. Yes funny I was just talking about this the other day. People read about all this access to Mika on MFC but a lot of those posting in reports threads have been to dozens of gigs/events so they do have several stories to tell but that doesn't mean Mika spends an hour hanging out with fans everywhere he goes. :wink2: I didn't have a conversation with Mika until my 7th gig (it took 2.5 years!).

With no promoters and only one door at the venues in North America it was easy to find Mika but still he did not spend more than a couple of minutes with fans in Brooklyn for instance. It was raining and he just spoke to a handful of people as he walked to the car and anyone who wasn't directly in his path would not have made any kind of contact at all.

For some just getting a smile or an autograph from Mika means the world to them so they are excited to tell of their "meeting" but I think if you've never been to one of these meetings you may not realize that there is often not much more to it than that.

7th!! My oh My and you're Christine! :aah: Haha.. I have been extremely lucky with meeting Mika. Spoke to him at every gig I've been to.. but I think it's cause it's easy to recognise me in a European setting.. Hong Kong did it for me.. I guess I stood out at our first meeting cause I was acting stupidly fan girlish like and of course cause of the Where's Mika Poster that has now become our tradition.

I think it is best to expect nothing. When you do get something, it will only make it more special.

Well said Ingie. And at least if you want to meet Mika, make the effort. Not just expect him to fall on your lap.

Exactly. I have met him several times but it doesn't mean I have had any proper discussions with him and many times we don't speak a word. He is usually tired after the show and his family is waiting for him, and he tries to be fair to everyone and sign autographs to as many fans as possible and maybe say a couple of words to local fans he can recognize. He is still always so polite and patient and sweet and just watching him meeting people warms my heart even if I don't speak to him personally :wub2: Many times I just watch what is happening around me. I'm always so pleased if he says a quick hello and maybe even gives a pretty smile (lol, can't help it, it makes my day every time...). And sometimes, when I don't expect it, he says something that shows he can actually remember us. I find it amazing every time!

And Nina you are one of the most crazy Mika gig traveling fan!!

  10. Honestly, I think it's been blown out of proportions.. I think he had a great time in Jakarta. He definitely enjoyed the gig and spoke quite a bit, and after the gig I have experienced worst. I think the security in Jakarta is no different than anywhere else except they had more ppl to watch us.

Mika was even more in a rush in some places I've seen him. In Singapore (airport) a security guy pushed me to the side as Mika walk past me and in fact was talking to me.

I think it was REALLY sweet of Mika to come out and see us even though we weren't supposed to be there.. and he stayed and chat and looked like he didn't want to leave us.. he turned around 3 times to look and smile as he was walking into the car.

I think ppl who have read stories in here must think it's easy to get to Mika, and promoters and managers just let everyone meet him and give out free information. It's not like that at all. Yes, there's usually a queue after a gig to meet him.. but he doesn't always stop for a long time.. I remember once in Brixton he just walked out said hello to some... no pics, no autograph.. straight into the car.. I was next to the car and he just walk past and hopped into the car, it wasn't until when he heard me as he got into the car that he reopened the car door and spoke a little. So Indo fans that were really hardcore, you guys got it better than most. I didn't see many making the effort to wanna see Mika at the gig, those who were deserving (to me) at that gig, have met him. :wink2:

  11. Hi all.. thanks for the wonderful pics!! :thumb_yello: Eriko you are awesome. So on the ball!! :blush-anim-cl:

It's gonna be a short review from me as I am really unable to compose the long story. Cut the story short... I was at the venue at 10.45am, no other fans were there yet.. saw the hall, checked it out, no one bothered about me even though there were so many security ppl. In the hall Mika's crew were setting up instruments.. the hall was not too small nor too big. I walked around to see if anyone else arrived, but didn't find anyone.. so I decided to collect my tickets. On the way to ticket box I was in the lift with 2 security ppl who I asked what time wasMika arriving for soundcheck.. they told me 3pm.

Got the tickets and called Efriani who was stuck in traffic.. Jakarta traffic is mad mad mad. Anyway, I then went for a drink as there was no real point to queue I thought. After my drink I went back upstairs thinking that Efriani was at the hall cause she said she'd arrived.. went there .. no fan was there.. just security folks busy sorting out the barriers and stuff.. they all just looked at me but no one said anything. Then I called Efriani to find out where she was, she said queueing and asked where I was.. so I told her I was at the hall.. she then came upstairs (only one floor up) and we meet for the first time. Shirley from Jakarta was with Efriani.. we were discussing what to do when we were asked who we were and what we were doing there.. so we said we're fans, and I asked if we could watch the soundcheck.. of course they said no. Well, no harm trying. The head of security was patient and friendly to us but then came one guy who was stern and was like NO NO.. get lost..

So I asked where would Mika enter from.. he the stern guy.. said loading bay nonchalantly and then got rid of us when he realised what we were getting at. We then went one floor down to the queue.

To be continued..... :aah: Sorry.. I am with limited time.

  12. I wish everyone who will be there tomorrow lots of fun. And I really hope he will play the full gig and also find a bit of time to meet you before he goes to the x-factor :crossed:

Thank you. I hope so too.

Wasn't it crazy at the airport?

I didn't go to the airport, got the information late.. the airport is far and it requires proper planning, I have now learnt that to get somewhere on time in Jakarta, one has to leave 2 hrs earlier than appointment, traffic is mad.

Thank you so much for all videos and pics about the press conference! :flowers2:

Even if he was tired after 22h of flight, he was able to do a bit of promotion. Sincerely, if I were in his place, I would have collapsed as soon as out of the plane :aah:

Anyway, have so much fun at the gig and don't think about his appearence at X Factor...I'm sure that he'll make an amazing show :wink2:

I'd collapse too!!:aah: I'm sure the gig would be great. Hope he stays on at least for a bit.

Hope everyone has a fantastic time tomorrow :thumb_yello:

    Thanks!!:blush-anim-cl:

The only tHong that I fear and other fans fear is he couldn't meet us after the gig because of the X Factor. From Skeeno Hall to X Factor stage is quite far. He will leave immediately. And somehow I believe there will be bodyguards to make it happens.

Artist and bodyguards is tradition in every concert in Indonesia.

And if we want to see X Factor, we should have an invitation :(

Yeah. Bodyguards can be overly protective in this part of the world.. hope we get to work this one out. See you later :blush-anim-cl:
