  1. Oh God! It's been ages since I last posted here! In fact, I barely posted anything since 2010 probably...but now that university is over, this will change. I wanna get back to you lovely people. And it's pretty much time I did a new Mika drawing! Blimey! It is time.

Anyway, I thought this would be the right place to share this, it's one of the portrait drawings I did of our spiritual leader (haha).

This is actually a link to my shop where you can not only see the drawing but even buy a framed print of it if you like.

Hope you like it lovelies! I'll hopefully be back soon with something very new too!

Until then...take care and art on! :huglove:

  2. if you leave my watermarks in the pix, and tell people that if they want to use the pix (for their website etc.) to leave the watermarks as well, then yes. :wink2:

of course! and I won't remove anything for sure!!! thank you! :wub2:

  3. sorry, only seen this now. :aah: were you there too? i was, of course, as i live in munich, and been a tt fan since 1993. :teehee: people started queuing in the middle of the night already, it wasn't worth it for me (it's enough if i do that for mika! :aah:) so i only arrived at 1pm or so - but still managed to get to 3rd row at the b-stage. would've been more relaxed to go to the back though, i had to fight for the whole concert to keep my place, since there was a lot of pushing. :boxed: i could see very well what happened on the b-stage, but unfortunately not everything on the main stage... that's the bad thing when you have 2 stages and nearly half of the gig is on the 2nd stage. hope mika never does that! :aah: in any case, i really enjoyed the parts of the gig that took place on the b stage. though i realized (again) that i'm still more a fan of the "old" take that, the way i knew them in the 90s - the memories i connect with that time are probably the only reason why i still like them. their medley of the old songs (which unfortunately took place on the main stage) was my fave bit of the show. :naugty: though i also really liked the alice in wonderland style they had for "shine", and the chess scenery for "kidz" - maybe it's also because kidz is the only song of their current album that i really love. :teehee: oh yes, and i loved the intro to "the flood", especially this huge album cover thing!

after the show i went to the "official take that end of tour aftershow party" at the pacha, howard was DJing there and i also saw jason... but it was extremely full, you could hardly move, so it wasn't really much fun. i heard mark and gary were there too, but they hid so well in the VIP area that i didn't see them.

if anyone's interested, here are my pix from the pacha (haven't uploaded the concert ones yet... the ones of robbie are from the day before the gig at the "cars 2" movie premiere): [urlhttp://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i91/mellody76/Take%20That/[/url]

oh god! no i couldn't make it. :( it's a shame, but I'm happy you loved it.

I personally prefer their new stuff LOL, but it's mainly becasue in the 90ies i was only a lil girl, and i only got into their music after the big reunion in 2006. :thumb_yello:

Do you mind if I post some of your pictures on Tumblr? There are lots of TT fans ther and I think they'd love them :wub2:

    Jason is such a babe, ohmygod:mf_lustslow: :wub2:

  4.

you draw totally the same way as me, you just don't use a tissue to blend the graaphite. brilliant, seriously. :mf_lustslow:

and STEP, that wolf is impressive, I've already seen it on tumblr....you insire me to try my hands on drawing animals! I've always wanted to try that! Is it very upsetting? Drawing aaaaallll that hair? :biggrin2:

  5. Üdv névrokon!:mf_lustslow: Ez a becenév kb másfél éves koromban ragadt rám, történetét hosszú lenne elmesélni, de eredeti nevemből(Fruzsi) lett eszközölve.

    :mf_rosetinted:

    Mikafan Fukka

Fukka? Nemár, én is Fukka vagyok  Ööö, Helló :biggrin2:

  7. Oh my....WOW. was that done with a computer or...?? :swoon:

Pencils. :wink2: There'S some editing on the background though, my scanner's a bi*ch, it screwed up all the colors and contrast so I had to. Thanks!

I'm stunned by the amount of detail in the eyes and the lips...especially the eyes, i'm a fan of eyes, love drawing them, but really, this is truely amazing, the way you did those wrinkles under the eyes, those highlights in the iris and pupil, the iris itself, the lashes and the eyelids! I can see the wrinkles in the eyelids. and the eyebrows too. amazing. you should make a tutorial !!

    :wub2:

edit: you made him a bit too feminine maybe, I think it's because of the lashes, but I love the lashes :wub2:

Yes, he's kinda feminine : ) Thank you very much. Actually it looks a lot more dark and kinda scary in real life. Yeah, looking at it now, it's kinda scary. BUt it's much better in real life than on this scan. I hate my scanner. (no wonder it hates me too)

    OH MY MIKA

    THIS IS JUST ....

... if you give this to him, he will forget all my "drawings" in a second :aah: and he won´t even open the next 20

Thank you! :huglove: And...NO WAY! (and I don't think he will ever get this, ha! :roftl:)

Thank you everyone for being so nice! :group_hug:

By the way, I actually got a comment on tumblr saying: "It looks like Draco Malfoy" Haha. Ouch. :roftl::aah:

  8. hey, :bye:

i was thinking of starting a new drawing, once the one i'm working on is finished. But i'm not as tallented or experienced as most of you, and i i have a question, so maybe someone here can help me:teehee:

i would like to make a drawing but a combination of normal graphyt pencil and aquarel pencils. Now the question is, what should i use for paper, smooth or textured?

or doesn't it matter that much? :dunno:

textured paper is better if you want to use some water on it! I guess you need to use water with aquarel pencils?! (not sure...I'M not really an expert on coloured pencils but I do recommend textured paper if you will be using some water)

  9. By the way-have you noticed that in Rihanna drawing even background is THE SAME? it´s sick. :aah:

TOO true. I find those photorealistic drawings so plastic, boring and slavish. For example everyone loves my Mika no.5 because it´s closest to he original picture. But I don´t! :aah: I can´t decide which one is my favourite, but probably 17 or 18. I like sketches, I like when you can see the likeness without tens hours of work on it. That´s what´s the talent about for me, to catch someone easily but damn exactly! Because that formic-work drawing is like PC art. Ok, it´s hard to do it, but I miss the soul in it.

We share the same opinion obviously and you DON´T talk too much. :wub2:

And I love reading posts from someone that talented. I only can learn from your words.:thumb_yello:

Yes yes yes! (all I can say)

    :blush-anim-cl: aww come on... :huglove:

I admire you guys because I would totally be mental by now if I had to work with printpaper. :aah:

  10. Of course, it´s visible that first one is way softer. Btw I love that movie :teehee:

But I don´t know. I like the second one more. Well I´m obsessed with second one since the 1st time I saw it :naughty: But I like when drawing look like a drawing and not that much like a photo. I don´t know, I don´t understand those artists that use brushes and 10000 other tools.. Ofc it looks more like a photo then, but .. for example this is 99% like a photo, I couldn´t believe my eyes when I saw it.

    Rihanna_by_wkfoong.jpg

and this is more rough, but I like it more, because it´s just amazing how those pencil lines REMINDS me of angelina. You know, i can´t explain it very well in english, but 1st one is a photo for me. second one is just like .. ok I drew angelina. without 428 tools that helped me. only me and my pencil.

    Angelina_Jolie_by_Lion83.jpg

Maybe I can say the same about music. I will always love Relax take it easy more in acoustic version. :biggrin2:

Yes. Exactly. I know what you mean. That's the reason I stopped drawing for a while. I have strated it all again only recently. I got fed up with it. It was a bit like copying, you know? I love my Mika drawing too, I still stare at it with so much love. If you asked me which drawing of mine I'm the proudest of I'd say that one. I just put so much of myself in it too. (does that make sense? haha! )

I adore that Rihanna drawing, there was like 100 hours of work in it....but still yeah...it's omehow....dead. And the Angleina one is....badass. You know, it's like...

Angelina: it's done with pencils, talent and passion...

Rihanna: it's done with pencils talent and patience...

I like photorealistic smooth drawings, but with something extra on. Like my PS I love you drawing, it's photorealistic but I added my ideas in it....the letters weren't on the original photo. I'm trying to train myself to do that more.(Like drawing the Pennimans fairies)

To get creative and not only just copy a photo. I think the important factor is to put something of you in the drawing. Make it yours.

I have some portraits that don't mean a thing to me even though I've worked hard on them. And others mean so much that I could never sell them.

Art to me, is the process when you put something out on paper that was originally inside you. Others not necessarily see it, but you do. You look at that drawing and feel again what you felt while doing it. Do I make any sense? (I'm talking to much :aah:)

  11. I draw on printpaper too since I thought all decent drawingpaper is textured. and I didn't see how you could make faces smooth etc on such paper. So maybe I should indeed go looking for that smooth paper, although I'm quite ok with printpaper too :aah: But it might be even smoother than the printpaper? or not?

No no no. Printpaper is super-fantastic smooth. That's indeed great about them. You can get really photorealistic effect on them. But they damage so very easily.

Like, you grab it accidentally, oryou use the eraser and the whole paper is ****ed up , it creases badly! To understand what I mean: http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/149887/2/istockphoto_149887-creased-paper.jpg

Smooth drawing papers differ from printpaper in their thickness. They are much stronger. (lol, did I just say that concerning a piece of paper? :biggrin2:)

Anyway, I hope you get what I mean. Drawing papers don't damage easily, they are thick and decent...they were designed for agressive pencil uses. :roftl:

  12. :aah: I work on normal A4 paper too. isn't the "decent" paper more grainy?

I do'nt erase either, don't blend either aswell. I suck at blending since my drawing just looks dirty when I do that

She draws on printpaper which is in my opinion the worts thing you can draw on. (LOL no offense!) Well for me anyway. I am unable to draw portraits on such easily damaged paper.

About grainy paper: it's all about taste.

BUt if you want to draw photorealistic drawings you have to draw on very very smooth paper. So that the skin looks really really smooth too.

If you have a grainy, testured paper, the portrait won't be smooth.

Just compare two of my drawings. Personally I can't decide which is better. BUT I find textured paper A LOT EASIER to draw on. However, if you want to draw photo-realistic portraits you have to work with smooth ones.

Smooth paper: (sorry it's not Mika but this shows perfectly what I mean by smooth skin)

    tumblr_longuo9rbV1r0nvpco1_500.jpg

    Textured paper:

    _modern_fairies__by_fruzsina-d29qv65.jpg

You can decide which one you like more, but it's undeniable that you will never get as much photorealistic effect with a textured paper as you get with a smooth one. :wink2:

  13. That´s it! I wanted to ask you.. do you use some special paper? because I´m working only with normal classic A4 paper and even more normal pencil. :aah: I never had some special tools, yours looks so soft! :wub2:

It's all about using tissues. Just blending baby! Your technique is perfect, you just need to blend the graphite. But I saw the paper you use, at Balaton, and unfortunately you won't be able to blend on those...coz the paper will crease and you'll get all mad! Just try blending with your fingers first. (though I recommend tissues coz your fingers are naturally greasy)

Buy some art paper, the smoother the paper is, the better your blending results will be. Printpaper is really smooth but can damage very very easily. That's the only problem with it. I don't know how you manage to work with it so well!!

So buy mechanical paper EDIT:**** it's called like that here but not sure this expression exists in English. Just simply drawing paper (cheap) or Bristol (expensive) ,sketch paper (they usually come in a form of a book-like thing) and that'll do!

And pencils...I have loads, but I only use a few. Buy a HB, a B a 3B and a 9B. Those should be more than enough!

    I hope it helped :wink2:

  14. Thank you all for your replies! :wub2:

I have something new. Mika No. 22 :wub2: My mum chose the picture! :aah:

    Enjoy! :group_hug:

Brilliant! Love it! I love how it's rough and still the likeness is so amazing! :wub2:

Not as amazing as the others...

I think they are amazing! So colourful and cheerful! I love them, and the music is great too! :wub2:

  15. This one really wasn't a meet and greet, he just quickly stopped to receive a few presents, and his car was already waiting. It was sweet from him to come and say hi even he was in a hurry :wub2:
