Here's the link to vote for Mika to get him on the hit list of a very popular radio in Poland. All you have to do is scroll down and find him under the 'Propozycje' category and click the 'Głosuj' button. You can only vote once a day. We'll see the results on Saturday.
Please, people, vote, as before http://www.radiozet.pl/liga-hitow
I would be so cool to make Rain more popular, I want to hear it on radio more often

I'm never going on mikasounds!
And you call yourself a MIKAfan...
-
Who directed this video?
From Mikasounds: ‘Blame It On The Girls’ was directed by Nez, who also behind the lens for MIKA’s next UK single, ‘Rain’.
It's a quote from the blog about BIOTG being the new single for US and Japan

I'm still blown away by this video. I'm really showing my age here, LOL, but I've concluded that it is very much in the same vein stylistically as video's from the 1980's (the New Romantics era) - groups like Ultravox ('Vienna' - very mysterious atmosphere, heavy with meaning), Duran Duran ('Hungry Like The Wolf' - I think - crazy coloured 'creature/s'), Spandau Ballet, Human League etc etc etc. The vids of those groups and others were often telling stories in a slightly oblique way - they were often, I suppose to today's eyes, quite cinematic/arty/possibly, depending upon your point of view, a bit over the top, 'artsy-fartsy'/pretentious.
I'm not saying Mika's vid is over the top or pretentious, I loved the vids in the 80's, and I think the 'Rain' vid is totally refreshing compared to the identikit music vid's that are around at the moment. It's totally beautiful - can't stop watching it!
Have you seen the video for 'Tristan" from Patrick Wolf? My first though after watching the Rain one was (after thinking how gorgeous Mika is there, how I think it's better than the BIOTG video and all) that it reminds me of 'Tristan'. It's complitely different, brings on different feelings, but after watching it you'll probably know what I mean.

Ask mari to edit if something in the translation is wrong,ok?
thanks
There are some insignificant mistakes, but they don't really make a difference
-
Why the "miki" and "mickey" and such, ITS MIKA, THAT IS ALL.
thanks for posting...
the ****er (it was ****er right?) part made my heart break.
With 'Miki', it's that Polish declension thing, I told you, that language is complicated.
And well, we know what we know, we don't have to take everything they say about Mika too seriously, do we?

My stepmother is Polish so I picked up some random words. But it's too difficult for me to formulate a proper Polish sentence. When she and my stepsister start talking I'm always like: "Yeah I'm gonna check if the dogs have food and water":roftl:
That's why I like the fact that Polish is my language. I feel proud of myself when I get to speak it when some 'foreign visitor' is near, even if they're just laughing, not actually admiring me. I don't care. It's one of the most difficult languages in the world after all.
-
Kurwa:mf_rosetinted:
And some other swearwords, that's where my Polish ends:roftl:
Sounds good, doesn't it? I know a lot of people like to swear in Polish, although they don't know the language. Kurwa is very expressive. I feel weird using that word on the forum.
Swearing in English is forbidden here, but are we allowed to swear in other foreign languages?
-
Google translator
I'm quite amazed actually, comparing to the fact how difficult Polish language is. It is, really.
There are quite a few mistakes, but it wouldn't make any difference if I translated it. Google translator rocks

I wonder if anyone has noticed that Mika stopped following Greg on Twitter and Greg no longer follows Mika, either ...
Well, Mika doesn't follow Greg, but Greg does follow Mika, so does Ella

Hey people!!!!!!!
I just wanna say that I'm going on my holiday to the seaside tomorrow and (probably, you never know) have to say goodbye to MFC and internet for over a month!
That means no MIKAnews (and no MIKAblog about the new single an album we're all waiting for now), no new pics, videos, interviews and... and We Are Golden only on the radio (hopefully...)! I tell you, my radio will be with me everywhere I will go. Think I'm gonna have to go to the internet cafe from time to time.
Last year was the same, I mean, holiday without the internet. With the help of some internet cafe, I'm still alive.
But this time it's different, We Are Golden will be out and I will have soooooooo many things to catch up on!!!!!
Anyway, have fun, people and see you in August!!!!!!
Take care!!!

Well, actually, it's confirmed, he will sing 'Rain' it was written on the online blog... here: http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/CustomPages/CustomPage.aspx?pageID=80822
I was hoping he will do pick up too, that would be good for that event, but what do I know...
it's also written, he won't be opening the show. Liar.
