They have just announced a UK tour (September) on Myspace...I will definitely be trying to get tickets to the Manchester gig. So excited!!!!!!

they was about 500/600persons,so as we have time when we arrived(saw them before too,when they was eating.....),we didn't run into the venue,and we was in second row:wink2:

i love the clip,it's surprise me when we discovered the "problem" of ben,and i love the finish of the clip,as the finish of the song,very quick and intensive !

I agree with you, I think most people on this thread do too.

 

I think the problem is that some fans are comparing Congratulations to Oracular Spectacular rather than judging it on its own merit. It's always hard to please everyone with a second album, you basically can't (as Mika knows! ) so MGMT just went ahead and made the music THEY wanted to make, which is always the best option I think. I think they have done a good job.

yes,they have done a really good job,convince evreyone(the industry of music first) their idea is the good one,no single,and let their influences in the first place!it's with a lot of courage,but it's possible with a second album;and as they wanted to offer it(it was first idea for this album,but sony wasn't ok;so,journalist think the album leaked was from them),it's just for them let's people hear what they want to create:thumb_yello: and appreciaéte or not!

a joournalist of this gig told me that a second is always buy by lot of people who just want to know what is come after a first album!

MFC try to organize the "before gig";when you arrive in first,we have to go to eat or some other things;so,you write a number the the order of arrival;we did it sinc some month,and it's only for people arrived soon...we didn't do that for all the venue of course(imagine 10 000 numbers )

From the videos I've seen of recent gigs it really seems as if they are a much tighter, better rehearsed band now, and Andrew's voice sounds stronger and more confident. I'm going to watch your videos now (merci).

btw,as my english isn't very good,i think i'll take time for this report later....

what can i say now,as you write in your post,is:yes,they seem to be a real group now(as they said before)!ben was a little bit strange(too much drugs man??....) and some of the band sometime laught to him because he didn't tape on the button when a song had to begin,it was very funny

we saw them after the show,but i was very stress by that;not as with mika,i saw him more time than MGMT..and mika spoke in french with me...

for them,i don't know,i couldn't have the same comportment...so sad,i wanted to speak with them,but didn't manage....it's really bad,beacause we were together after the show,with not so much people,in the bar of the venue,and they weren't a lot of people around them..;it was really cool in fact!but i just try to ask a picture and an autograph to andrew;after,i asked him if we could have the same with ben;but he was speaking with some people..andrew tried to ask him for us,but finally,ben went away...

the only thing i managed to tell to him just before he went to the van is "see you soon guy",he gave me a smile,answer something as a "yes,see you" or "thanks" and that's all....

that for the afterparty....

i'll try soon to talk about the before/and the party to you!

btw, I have a question:

 

as it is the only swiss gig, I'm coming with 5 friends of mine who are over-excited at the idea of seeing Mika live again (they were with me at Paléo in 2008). We'll be at the venue around 11 p.m. (if they're no traffic jams on the way from Lausanne ). Will they be allowed to have numbers in the queue too even if they are not on MFC??? (I guess so isn't it?, but only wanted to ask to be sure... )

of course,number was always for everyone want one,and arrive soon;with the number,they could go eat,sleep or whatever they want
