  1. Hi! :mf_rosetinted:

Well, I don't know if you had already talked about it in this thread (I mean, I can read the word "circus", but that's about it :blush-anim-cl:), but I was just wondering whether you have already been to a gig at the Circus? What kind of venue is it? How many people do fit in there?

Ah, I would so love going to this gig, let's hope that they won't let me have an exam the LAST day of my exams period. :mf_popeanim:

Btw, it just occurred to me that Mika might even be talking a few sentences of Finnish that night. :harp: I so need to make it. *sighs*

The Circus has it's own website:

    http://www.thecircus.fi/

Pictures in "Galleria". There are six different bars in The Circus. The whole night club holds about 2000 ppl. The gigs are usually downstairs and maximum amount of people for each gig is 1500 ppl. I haven't heard yet how many tickets they are going to sell for Mika's show but I probably know more after Thursday.

I hope you're able to come to Finland. :thumb_yello:

  2. Mä oon ennustaja, hehehe! :naughty: Hassua miten vasta päivää ennen tuota uutista kutsuin Mikan ja Jimmyn Suomeen Twitterissä. Mika tuskin sitä luki kuitenkaan... Tietääköhän se edes että on tulossa? :roftl: Toivon mukaan uutinen vahvistetaan pian! :thumb_yello:

The Circus -yökerhoon mahtuu joku 1500 ihmistä, korkeintaan 2000. Pitäis tulla aika tunnelmallinen keikka! :wub2:

Se varmaan tietää tulostaan vasta viikkoa ennen keikkaa. :aah:

Circukseen mahtuu 2000 ihmistä siinä tapauksessa, että kaikki tilat on käytössä. Keikoilla on käytössä alakerran baari, johon mahtuu korkeintaan 1500 ihmistä. Eli aika pieni keikka on tiedossa. :thumb_yello:

Are you coming to see the Helsinki gig, Sienna? Would love to see you there :wub2:

Joo, tää Suomi-ketju taitaa olla aika hiljainen? Nyt saattais vilkastua kun saatiin Helsinkiin keikka :biggrin2: The Circus vaikuttaa ihanteelliselta paikalta Mikaa varten! Mutta kesän aikataulu tulee olemaan tiukka :aah: Mieluiten näkisin vaikka keikkoja jätettävän väliin kuin liian tiivistä ohjelmaa, katotaan miten käy...

SIENNA! Du måste komma till Finland! :teehee:

Circus on just täydellinen keikkapaikka. :wub2: Yökerhossa on aivan erilainen tunnelma kuin esim. Kulttuuritalolla. Kultsa sopii mun mielestä parhaiten akustiselle musiikille (erityisesti Rufukselle, heh).

Festareilla keskivertoesiintymisen pituus on about 45 min ja tavallisilla keikolla Mika vetää 1,5 h setin. Tuskin tuota Suomen keikkaa kovin kevyin perustein perutaan, sehän on kuitenkin promokeikka. :wink2:

  3. Anzuzu :wub2: I missed you yesterday! I'm happy to hear you had a great time in Stockholm!

Yes I remember that too! It was one of the most relaxed meetings with him, we got the chance to talk to him in peace and quiet.:wub2:

Awww I missed you too! :huglove: We met Nika before the show and she told us where you were. After that we went to look for you. The place was too crowded so I couldn't find you in the end! But I'm sure there will be a next time!

One thing I like about this venue is that there is lot of free space on the sides. :thumb_yello: Me & my bf arrived quite late cos I hadn't been feeling well that day. Despite it we got a great spot really close to the stage. It was really calm on the sides, no pushing and beating at all! People were singing and dancing in such a great spirit and Mika came to our side many times during the gig. :groovy::wub2:

Last time in the same venue I was pushed and punched badly and had lot of bruises when I got back home. :boxed: I was with Marianne that time and security had to take her away cos she started to feel bad in the wild crowd. IMO Stockholm gig is not the best place to be front & center. If he performs again in Annexet, I recommend staying on the sides.

  4. Wonka, I was wondering that myself, about whether there was no M&G because of that.

Mika can see what's going on from the stage, and probably didn't fancy getting mobbed after, and I don't blame him!

It's a shame for those who did behave and hadn't met him before, there's always someone who will spoil it for everyone.

It could have been because he was tired, but he's done consecutive gigs before and done M&Gs after, so I don't see what would have been different about this one.

That's probably not the reason. At his last Stockholm gig things were totally crazy (even more wild/rude teenagers than yesterday). Still our little fan group got one of the loveliest M+G afterwards. Mika invited us to meet him inside the venue because it was snowing. I thought it was really nice gesture from him. :wub2: I'm pretty sure there was some other reason for no M+G this time.

When we went to see if it's possible to meet Mika or not, the security told us that he had already left because he was damn tired. I only wanted to see him because I had bought a present for him but I can give it later in Berlin or Munich. :thumb_yello: It must be really tiring to perform night after night so I really can't blame him. I was happy to get an early night after the gig because I haven't been well last days. But I felt sorry for the cute little dog that was patiently waiting for Mika with its owner.

Anyway, I'm back home now and will do my report later. The gig itself was amazing as always. :thumb_yello:

  5. :thumb_yello:

I cried SO BAD - and everyone behind me was staring at me - but, I did not care, because I was feeling that with my soul! :fangurl: I cherish that moment forever! . . . till I get to hear it again one sweet day! :freak:

    :fangurl: :fangurl: :fangurl:

i LOVE Rufus! my favourite songs are oh what a world, the one you love, 14th street and old whore's diet. And hes soooo good looking :wub2:

he's a sad loss to the female world :wink2:

    :naughty:

14th Street is one of my favorites too. :thumb_yello:

  6. But, in my experiences thus far I have to say that the most AMAZING songs I got to see him do were Greek Song . . .and POSES! Which I had to wait for till the LAST show to see - I was SO afraid he was not going to sing Poses AT ALL - - cause 2 shows and NOPE - I guess he saved the BEST for last!!! I cried like a BABY through the WHOLE song!!!! It was TOO much! So beautiful!!!! :wub2:

Two shows and he didn't sing Poses? I'm so happy that he played it last time in Helsinki... It is one of my favorite Rufus song's ever. :swoon:

  7. Oh - I could have, if i would have taken my time! :lmao:

Ooohhh did all of you guys get good seats with the pre-sale!? :fangurl:

    :roftl: :roftl: :roftl:

Well, at the moment I only know that our seats are guaranteed to be in rows 1-5. Rufus will be performing in the House of Culture and I know that all of those seats are REALLY close to the stage. :wub2:

  8. With Rufus - you just sit back in your sw-anky chair, and listen. And watch this beautiful creature do magic on the piano keys - and you close your eyes and you can feel every beat of the song in your heart - like your heart is beating Poses - and then you look up and realize that he is R E A L - and he is right there in the same room with you - breathing the SAME air, and you are SO close yet so far away - and you just want to reach out and touch him. And the music - and HIS VOICE move you so much that the tears just start to flow. It is SUCH a different experience - and JUST as powerful in it's own way! You do not walk out of that venue the same! :wub2:

You couldn't have described it any better. :wub2: :wub2: :wub2:

Wow, really can't wait!! :wub2: Bought my tickets today!!! :biggrin2: And thanks for telling Holly, because I didn't know what to expect. Sounds different, but beautiful!

I'm so glad they had a presale for Helsinki. :thumb_yello: This spring is going to be amazing. :teehee:

  9. Rufus is coming to Portugal in May! :biggrin2: Let's see if I can get tickets!

Good luck with your tickets! :thumb_yello: Is it before or after the gig in Finland? He is playing here on 25th May.

Edit: Just noticed there is a presale on http://www.rufuswainwright.com/tour/ :) Go and get your tickets!

I'm so excited for Ru's new album!! I'm so glad he's releasing more of the sonnet compositions!

Me too! I'm really looking forward to this album. :wub2:

  10. You will!

You texted me last night to tell me that you had got tickets for the third row, center. :mf_rosetinted: I just wondered how on earth you got the tickets already at night since they weren't even for sale yet! :roftl: I don't think I've ever seen a dream in which I know exactly what day it is, let alone time!

Are you sure you didn't get the tickets already? :naughty:

    Nice flashforward :naughty:

    Edit: Actually I did. :roftl:

  11. Aaaawwww thank you!!! :huglove:

I miss him SSSOOOOO bad . . . and since everything that has happened - well, I just want to wrap my arms around him and hold on tight for a second!!!! :wub2:

He is probably going to promote his new CD all over the world so I'm pretty sure he'll tour also in USA. :harp:

I really hope you get to see him again one day. :wub2:

  12. WWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA :crybaby:

I am SO happy for yall . . . JUST wishing I could go too!!!! :tears:

Tiibet . . there is NOTHING like seeing Rufus for the FIRST time LIVE! :wub2:

I want a full report!!!! :fangurl:

Awwww Holly! :huglove: I so wish you could come with us... If we manage to get tickets, we will send your love to him. :wub2::fangurl:

  13. Yep, I just found that info :teehee: I have never seen him live so would love to see him now :wub2:

You HAVE to see him! He is amazing live. :wub2: :wub2: :wub2:

I noticed you're in London next Monday. If you want a ticket I can help you. :thumb_yello:

  14. Toi on pelkkää arvailua, mutta olis kyllä ihan mahtavaa jos Mika tulis tuolloin Suomeen. Toivottavasti mahdollinen Suomen-keikka selviää pian. Olis ikävä olla just silloin ulkomailla. :naughty:

Toi Elisan uutinen tais olla lähinnä huono vitsi... :naughty:

Onkohan täältä lähdössä paljon suomalaisia Mikan Tukholman keikalle? :teehee:

  15. Really. girl_yes.gif

Just bought tickets for me and StandardToaster (Andrew). :blush-anim-cl:

Still not sure if we're actually going, but at least now we have tickets. I'll see about airfare and such closer to the date. :biggrin2:

Tidbit: My great grandfather, Jonas Olsson, apparently left Sweden after getting a reputation for being a horse thief. :teehee:

    Welcome to Scandinavia! :thumb_yello:

You have no idea how happy this made me, I was so worried that I would be left alone with a bunch of teenagers at the concert!:naughty:

    :wub2:

There probably will be even more teenagers this time... :naughty: I'm not sure if front row is the best place to be. Last time it was so packed that it was hard to breath when the gig started. :hypo:

I wonder if we'll meet our favorite security guys this time. :mf_rosetinted:
