    Yeah, when I started seeing the mother/child theory, I was skeptical because the lyrics to me are very much about a romantic relationship (nobody's mom gets them high :bleh:) but the details keep adding up. Anyway, Mika said that the director had a specific vision of a story line, which means it doesn't necessarily have to match the lyrics. But the eggs, milk, photo of Joanie, 9 months... plus things like the big shoes (what kid hasn't tried on their mom's shoes?) I'm starting to buy it.  I just... no mom sits on their kid's lap like that! :naughty:

    You’re right, there are some details that don’t match with mother/child love (for example the wedding bands they are wearing) and, for me, the song talks about a romantic relationship too!

    I hope Mika will enlighten us somehow!

    When I first saw the video I was thinking about a mother and son kind of love, where the mum gives part of her life for the son and the son also tries so hard to please her and be what she wanted him to be.

    But now I read the idea of the 9th Penniman’s generation theory and it’s very interesting!

     

    Anyway, in my mind, the video doesn’t match the song yet, LOL!

    Amici del MFC abbiamo una novità per voi e siete i primi a saperlo! Prima che la notizia venga diffusa, volevamo annunciarvi che MIKA registrerà dei video per il suo nuovo TV  SHOW e vorrebbe avere vicino i suoi fan. Pronti ad una nuova sfida? Ecco di cosa si tratta!

     

    Realizzeremo un vero pigiama party in piazza ad Aosta (12 Ottobre) e Bergamo (13 Ottobre). Ci sarà anche una terza città che verrà annunciata presto.

     

    Per partecipare, scrivete a mikapartyraidue@gmail.com entro le ore 12 di Lunedi 10 Ottobre e indicate nell’oggetto il nome della città che avete scelto (Aosta, Bergamo). Nel testo inserite il vostro nome, cognome e data di nascita insieme a quelli della persona con cui vorreste venire (UNA SOLA!). Vi richiediamo la disponibilità sul set dalle 19 fino alle 00 e dovrete vestirvi con il vostro miglior pigiama o camicia da notte. Solo i maggiori di 14 anni potranno prendervi parte (con delega dei genitori se minori di 18 anni). Tutte le informazioni più dettagliate le riceverete in risposta alla vostra mail!

    The show in Cernobbio was absolutely brilliant, Mika did some improvisations with lyrics and the crowd laughed genuinely! It was really like "this is the last show, let's do whatever we want" and I really liked that! I thought the gig would have been bittersweet (cause, you know, it was the last one..) but I had a great time with no sadness (that came later, sigh)!

    The venue was spectacular too but and Mika decided to declare war to mosquitoes for once! LMAO!

     

    I have to Thank MFC that gave us the opportunity to meet Mika after the show, it was chaotic, that's true, but I feel so honoured 'cause I can actually listen to Mika's speech and looking him in the eyes and I felt the words he said were for each and every one of us. He said beautiful things to us fans and I'm still on cloud 9! So so honoured and proud!

    I'm also VERY curious about the one man show, I said him good luck and he started talking again about the project, he was genuinely excited and I'm happy about that!

    It was a very special gift :groupwave:
