Buen día, todavía no oi la bendita canción.Parece que tengo un embrujo o algo así, porque se oye cualquier canción en Youtube menos ESA (muy sobrenatural lo mío).

Pero teniendo en cuenta que ya Cutting Crew lo demandó por Relax Take It Easy (y de ahi la notita en el booklet del cd) y que No Place In Heaven se parece un poco a una canción de The Supremes, si hay un parecido melódico no sería ninguna sorpresa.

Well, Italy has a policy because of which Italians in other countries can make their children and grandchildren officially "half Italians", so to speak. So there's a lot of us out there Although Mika would be more like my aunt Teresa, who's half-Syrian by birth and Italian by choice

I loved the show, even if it gets too long sometimes (yesterday it was almost 1 in the morning,maybe I didn't like much last episode because I was sleepy haha. I'll have to rewatch). The guests were all very lovely and there were very emotive moments. But the biggest part is that Mika surprised me: there was a time when he couldn't drive, now he's a taxi driver. I used to perceive him as kind of camera shy, now he shines in front of a camera and is an amazing host, always knowing how to make the guest feel comfortable.

Plus I'd not seen him in his underwear since We Are Golden (the reaction of the audience when he came out of the bathtub was hilarious, a collective 'Ohhhhhh!'). He really sweats confidence nowadays.

Jack Savoretti, Pierfrancesco Favino (I watch Marco Polo. Didn't know the actor was THAT amazing) and Sarah's dance were my favorite moments.

He has actually quite a lot of experience of live shows already after several seasons of The Voice and XF.

 

My bad, I thought those shows were pre-recorded (last weekend Sabine mentioned to me that they are recording The Voice in December but it doesn't air until January or later).

Sometimes the script behind it is evident, and you notice even the guests studied their lines carefully. But if it were live it would be awfully stressful for Mika, who's not an actor or comedian or has a wide experience on TV and radio. Being spontaneous on a music concert is totally different to acting and improvising 2 h and a half straight on national (well, international!) TV. Maybe it's possible but it'll have to be way simpler and shorter.

La Pioggia - Gigliola Cinquetti. I remembered my grandma really liked it, checked it on YouTube and now it's stuck in my head LOL.

 

The songs is basically about "It's cold and rainy, the weather sucks, but I'm in love so I don't care" Gigliola is a popular Italian artist, she was a great singer and a very beautiful lady in the 60s and 70s. She's still pretty active, so if there's another season of Stasera I hope Mika invites her to his house. That'd be great.

Studying, because I have a test on Monday. And then studying until December the 15th while trying to figure out how to focus instead of watching videos of Mika

(We Want It! in Portuguese), where people ask for an artist and they might come for a show or more (we even asked Mika here, but no news from them so far). Do you know if there's anything like this in Georgia??? If not, create something alike, make some noise so events producers invite Mika to your country

Brazil, the way I see it, is our most probable chance (big country, many fans, loud ones and a couple of well-known festivals and venues).

 

I understand that the economical or social situation might not be the best one right now. In that particular topic we're all in the region a bit screwed.

I know but it was just a list of countries where he played. I meant that he is often traveling all around the world for his gigs and that he isn't only and always in Italy and France!

Well, he performed in South Korea last summer of the Northern Hemisphere and promised to return. But to be fair, Korean fans are a lot and very attentive: they buy him coffee, cake, show up where they know he's going to be, send messages, etc.

He was already a judge on TV when NPIH came out, there was an Asian tour, Rock in Rio (Lisboa ), shows in Latvia/Lithuania/Prague, Barcelona/Switzerland/Belgium in June, he's promised new songs for 2017, among other things. As for the Italians getting attention, he recently said on radio that he wanted to do many shows inside Italy. If that's makes him happy...

Their performance of Ci Parliamo Da Grande left my eyes as if there were Calabrese red onions near my face I grew up listening to Eros because my mom used to play his music all the time, his voice reminds me of my childhood. Plus the beauty of Mika's melody...I couldn't help getting emotional.

I must be out of the loop-is this the first time Mika has mentioned Andreas by name? I knew they were still together, but I've never known what his name is or what he looked like.

As for his looks, he's been around as just a friend for years, he's attended shows (I think) and for some longtime fans (I don't want to say 'old') he might not be a total stranger. So when a couple of French magazines took pictures of them together, it brought back a lot of MFC memories

 

We are two very different trees, I like a particular kind of light and a pH of the ground that he doesn't like. So we share neither ground nor light, but we remain here.

In fact, I've watched today a quite recent Italian short video in which Mika talks about the procedence of his fans and he mentioned that (according to his management team) his content on social media attracts an interesting amount of traffic from Southamerica. He seemed glad about that. So I understand and accept it's not lack of appreciation but him focused on more lucrative and/or sucessful things, which happen to take place in Europe (and sometimes the USA). Hopefully in a couple of years a good job and my Italian passport will allow me to be "the mountain that goes to Muhammed".

I just came to say that NPIH came out one year after all those posts filled with the 'shoulds' and the coherence and whatever (and apparently, not having read the transcription carefully).

Stasera Casa Mika, a show that is anything but banale, two years later. And now there are new songs in the making and a couple of shows with a symphonic orchestra. E magari un libro.

 

So next time let's put the crystal ball aside and accept Mika knows better about his career choices than us. And thank goodness, he gives a damn about people being easily disappointed.

I hope there was a matress (or a ton of grass) below the stage. I remember when Dave Grohl literally broke a leg falling like that from stage. He had to perform on the following shows sitting on a throne.

 

And today I learned Mika doesn't like thrones. They kind of remind him of Louis XVI

I'm happy to discover his new sides, his possibilities, his new talents I had no idea about. He is different, with his flaws, but I smile with the thought that we still have more episodes. 

 

I was thinking about that yesterday. He's always been lovely and I've been a fan for a long time, but I love how spontaneous he's today and how you can see clearly that he's enjoying life (even though he's quite busy). Maybe that's why I love NPIH so much, it sounds natural and very true.

 

When his new tour comes he might also do special shows like more acoustic or symphonic shows or big concerts I'm really looking forward to all the new surprises he will come up with
