Wow! I didn't know which song was the one by Bronski Beat, but the moment I heard it I recognized it, because every time I hear it I think of Mika, maybe because the falsetto sounds symmilar to his.

While we wait for Blackpool, I was looking through Spin mag's site, and they have a section called Terrific Twitter Trio of the Week.For the week of 21 of August, one of the ones they chose is Mika. Here's what they say:

I know some people are not listening to the snippets so they have a big impact !Wow! on Sep 21 (or whenever). Good choice, if that's how your brain works.

 

Other people's brains work differently- by my age people probably know which group they're in. I'm finding my pleasure greatly extended and increased by taking each song a few seconds at a time, pouring over it and enjoying it before i hear the next. To me, hearing it all together for the first time would be like gobbling it all down straight away- much LESS pleasurable.

 

Sure, some people who've played all the snippets will find (or already know) that they would have done better not to. They might or might not do different in future. But I'm picking up vibes that some people think that everybody in the second group is weak willed, which simply isn't true

I belong to the second group, the weak willled.

I heard all the snippets a few times but then decided not to listen to them anymore. Not because I want to be surprised, but because I don't want to "spend" them. You know that feeling when you hear a song you really like, and you don't want it to finish. Eventually, even with your favourite songs, that fades.

But I have to tell you, having heard the snippets it's taking the (little) will I have not to play them over and over.Specially because we don't even have a release date in Argentina:boxed:

God, his nervousness (sp?) transpires in the blog. I guess the success of the first record did take him by surprise, and now he is feeling the pressure. We feel the pressure, for Christ's sake!

Of course, the minute they mention Mika I lose my connection:sneaky2:

But something is wrong with this, they are advertising it as We are golden, not The boy who knew too much. This makes me think that it was a glitch:boxed:

I just hope this isn't like the Graham Norton show, where they cut all the fun stuff and they only showed him singing.:sneaky2:Don't get me wrong, I love his singing but I also want the fun stuff.

I'd love for him to cover Blackbird by the Beatles, but I don't know if that is a song suited for a live audience.

To me in that picture he looks like Dorian Grey.

That smilie is for Mika, Dorian was handsome but a horrible person.

I know a lot of people think this picture is horrible, but I'm finding this new Mika incarnation very hot.

That's what I'm talking about. They give it 4 out of 5 stars and they say "we have a lot of love for this album" and then they proceed to rip it apart.
