  1. Hey Ricki :biggrin2:

Apart from us being down for over 30 hours and Mika being pretty much responsible for getting it back up (excuse the pun:naughty:) not much.

I saw that we were down. I tried to log on but couldn't. Thought there was something wrong with me....good to find out that it wasn't "oldling syndrome"

  2. We just had a bloke round from Dyno-rod... we had to have our drains fixed recently (well it was actually before I saw Mika at Hammersmith so it was awhile ago) thankfully we didn't have to pay for it as we were insured - the insurance paid out over £900.00 to get it done.. anyway this bloke turned up out of the blue, to inspect the work they'd done....

Found it blocked again.... and isn't at all happy with the work they've done on it...

Is going to make them come back and do it again properly and he's going to supervise it.... didn't have a clue there was anything wrong with it again...

Just goes to show you can't even trust reputable companies anymore.... :(

I know what you mean. We had to have our basement waterproofed because we'd get several inches of water in it if it rained to much. We had to have them come back 3 times...finally we had one of their supervisors come with them and gauranty their workmanship.

  3. They have not done xrays. The physiotherapist thinks its bursitis plus

the tendons/ligaments are knotted. She was very thorough - I swear at

one point she almost had my leg round my neck!!!:naughty:

At least she was thorough. Maybe a nice massage and dip in a hot tub would be good.

  4. Very painful - but I have taken my strong painkillers so now I am

    floating!!! :insane::roftl:

Have they done xrays to see if something is out of place or do they think it's just muscular? Do you have chiropractors? The only reason I mentioned it is because my neck had been bothering me alot and I went to one a couple times now if feels pretty good

  5. hello everyone,

    thanks for the good wishes,

I'm sure the surgery will go just fine.

the sad thing is, I will be in MFC/Oldling withdrawal for days!

I'll miss talking to you guys every day.

I won't say goodbye, I'll say 'see you in a few days!'

    love, Leona

I'm sure you'll do great. Getting caught back up will give you something to do while you are healing.

  6. Good Morning Everyone...haven't caught up but just got an update on my co-worker. His 3 hour surgery turned into 8 1/2 hours but his wife said it was well worth the wait. Before she left he was groggy but speaking, and he could follow directions moving his hands and legs. So, thanks to everyone who said a prayer or even had well wishes for him. They said he'd be in intensive care for a couple days then I guess depending on how he's doing they'll go from there. Thanks Again for the prayers

  7. Hi Vicky & Ricki.

I love it when names rhyme, heh heh.

Hope your hubbyis okay atfer his surgery Ricki, fingers crossed.

It's not my husband that needs surgery a co-worker of mine. VickylovesMika's husband had the surgery. But thanks for the well wishes anyway. Every little bit helps.

  8. Ricki, this is exactly what my husaband had. I can speak to you in pm if you like. He is now getting better, but this is a big operation and it will be a tough time for all the family. Thoughts are with you :wink2:

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I don't get on the computer much after I leave work. They just found it last week. I guess they used steriods to help shrink it over the weekend and it worked. His surgery is tomorrow. Hopefully he will recover as quickly as he thinks he will. I have no idea where in his brian the tumor is located, so I'm not sure what memory or speach issues he may have. But please do PM me if you have any advice.

  9. Haven't read back...but I would like to ask for prayers for my co-worker. He just found out he has a brain tumor that they believe is non-cancerious (which is a great thing)but it is the size of a golfball and they want to operate. So, he'll be out for a while. He has 3 kids and he is a very active person so hopefully that will help him recover soon.
