lol it's funny how it came across so differently to others - guess that's for once because mika just knows how to integrate stuff like that without catching too much attention, suddenly he has something in his hand and you won't know how he got it. and second, there's so much happening during lollipop, with all the balloons and stuff, that you're just distracted and only see half of what's happening.

 

i never would've thrown that can if he hadn't motioned to me to do so, as it could've hit someone or he could've fallen over it. i was already a bit worried about the bra someone threw on stage before the encore, as i think mika didn't see it (or maybe he just ignored it ), that it would get stuck to his foot and he'd stumble over it. luckily he didn't, and security removed it before he came back for the encore.

OH yeah I saw that bra up on stage, I was a little worried about him tripping over it too 'cause I'm not sure he saw it and he got awful close to it a few times, haha

Haha I thought the same thing! I thought someone just chucked it at him when he wasn't paying attention and he ninja caught it.

 

Thanks for posting all of those, Karin, they're great. I love, love all the talking bits! I was just trying to remember what he said about the comfortable balcony cushions.

about that last video, don't know if someone wrote about it already... sarac went to a party shop before the gig and got all sorts of fab stuff for all of us, like blacklight makeup, glow in the dark nailpolish, and those spray streamers. she gave the streamer cans to different ppl and we agreed that we'd spray them during rain... next to me, christine had a can, but when we didn't see anyone else spraying during rain, we didn't do it either. later, sarac told us that her can was taken away by security, so that was the reason. well, during lollipop christine sprayed a few streamers and when she put the can down again, i took it and kept on spraying - not towards mika, but sideways between mika and the front row (you shouldn't spray that stuff on people, normally it says so on the can... ). mika saw this and came over and waved to me to throw the can to him - he caught it and started spraying in the crowd and at his band members (seems like HE didn't know that you shouldn't spray it on ppl! ), having lots of fun with that spray streamers, lol! you can see his first spray towards the crowd quickly at the end of the video. unfortunately the can was almost empty, so he didn't have much of it anymore. wish someone had filmed more of that, but couldn't find anything on youtube.

 

i didn't even remember that i was filming while i threw the can to him, well, of course the video is quite shaky, as i was spraying, throwing and filming at the same time... but it also is horrible quality, as some time during lollipop i hit the wrong button on my camera, so it would make smaller videos instead of the good quality ones i usually have, and i only noticed after the show. still uploaded it, as i thought it was so funny with the spray streamers. actually, sarac had given 2 or 3 cans of glow in the dark spray streamers to john (?) to give to mika backstage, maybe he didn't get them or only decided during lollipop that it would actually be fun to spray them.

I totally saw when Mika caught that silly string at the show!! I did realize he motioned for you to throw it up there until you said something here, but during the show I was like "woah! did you just see Mika caught that can of silly string!!" I thought someone threw it up w/o him noticing and he just caught it...LOL LOL....it would have been fun if there was more string in the can, it was fun to watch him spray it on everyone

Amazing, brilliant, what an evening, what a show, what sound! Main floor, just to the right of the stage just under the balcony. Which unfortunately means no one bounces the balloons back to us. Come on everyone, think of some of us in the back next time. I did see people trying to get some of them back up to the balcony level which was really nice

 

We danced and danced, her on the seat, me in the row and for Love Today he had all of us on our feet (one foot actually) bouncing up and down. What a blast! And what a workout....

 

My only regret is that I didn't buy one of the We Are Golden tees (anyone know how to get one after the fact?) and that my daughter couldn't hold out for the M&G after the show. I would have loved to get an autograph and photo of them together. She's normally in bed at 8:30 (she has to get up at 6am to be ready for school) so she was worn out by 9:30, but she managed to get through with sitting down to rest only once.

 

We're wearing our tees, my ears are still ringing, I can't stop singing and I wish I could just up and go to Vancouver tonight.

 

Gary Go was great and we're going to enjoy his CD and we extend to him our wishes for his success. and to Mika continued wishes for greater success.

Mika just sent out a newsletter e-mail saying new merchandise was available on his website, and they included the red "we are golden" t-shirt you wanted...

I was wondering, where did he perform? Because when I watched the video it looked like he was playing 5 feet or so above the audience...

His Mom came out earlier in the afternoon and my friend asked her how I could be a Big girl. Then when they came out early to the line to pick them, he told them that it was my life dream to be a big girl LOL!.

That's funny how your friend said it was your "life dream"! I didn't realize that they just went through the line to pick the big girls...you were definitely in the right place at the right time...and had a good friend to help you get picked

OH BTW, your jacket is awesome!!

The people that got the "one-on-one" meet and greets were the Golden ticket winners and the Big girls and the people with them. How do I know? I was one of them!!!!!!!! So if it's any consolation, there were some MFC people in that group!

 

OMG! It was an amazing night.

Long story short. I got to be a Big Girl! and then got backstage passes for the one-on-one meet. Everyone backstage was so nice. And I had a BLAST!! If anyone got pics or video of Big girl, please let me know.

 

When I met him afterwards, he said he liked my Jacket, So I turned around and showed him the back and he said "that's amazing" and was running his hands over The rhinestones. He thanked me told me I did a great job up on stage ( I bet he says that to ALL the girls! lol) and I thanked him for letting me participate. What a night! I got home at 3:30am and I am kinda rummy today but was SOOOOO worth it!

 

The front row debacle really was a poor decision on the venue's part. All of us thinking we had front row and then ending up in the 4th row! and they had those seats SO tightly crammed in, it was hard to even dance! But once Mika was singing, I kinda forgot all about it and just enjoyed every minute.

 

We also got to spend the afternoon with Riverstwilight and we had so much fun bopping around town and had dinner together. They were talking to her, about being a big girl too but had more girls than costumes so they gave her a backstage pass instead. So even tho she was back a few rows, I think that she had a fantastic experience and meeting Mika made up for it! But I'll let her fill you in on her glory moment and all the details

He came outside after the meet and greet at this show! From what I hear, he comes out a lot. It just takes a little while.

Wow what a trooper Mika is for coming outside after the inside meet 'n greets considering his foot!! Another reason why I love him!!

I had a question about the opening act, Gary Go (I think)....at one point during his performance he was using his phone I think to do something as he was singing...it looked like he was texting with his thumbs!!

I couldn't understand what he was saying before hand, does anyone know what he was doing up there??

I have been staying away from youtube videos, pictures, and reviews for the entire US tour so far so that I would be surprised at this concert, and let me tell you, although it was super hard not to peak at those videos, it was WELL worth it!! This concert was AMAZING and everything was a surprise!!!

First of all Mika's voice was SOOOOO good and he was dancing and moving all over that stage more than I had expected with that huge boot! It definitely did not slow him down, it was great! He was AWESOME!!!

I loved all the stage decor with the planets from the ceiling and loved all the black lights! It was almost kinda scary when the band's eyes were covered in black light paint and when the lights went off all you could see were their eyes!

I thought the whole briefcase thing with props inside was so much fun!! I loved how he would go back to it to see what he had inside the case... and especially LOVED the giant teapot that ran across the stage!! That was SOO cute!!

I was wondering though, has Mika only done private meet 'n greets this tour? Or has he come outside after the shows to see people?

They released Loge today.

In fact, there are still plenty of good Loge seats available on TM.

Yeah I went to look up tickets when they went on sale today to see if Loge became available...and they were...I am VERY disapointed in the Fox Theatre pre-sale! I thought pre-sale would have the best (meaning loge) seats on sale!!!

I was able to get reserved seating although it seemed like only the Mezzanine and Balcony were available. Maybe it was just me, but I do think Lodge seating was not available to purchase?

 

Anyways still got a good seat in the first row of the mezzanine.

I wonder how people get Loge? I wondered if they release those seats when regular tickets go on sale Sunday....but then I also wondered if there was another presale for like American Express or something...or maybe Fox theatre has special tickets....hmmmm....

I saw the Fox Theater pre-sale on their site.

I'm 5 minutes behind the bouncing ball, so missed Mika's GA presale, but that's OK, because I would be totally OK with front Loge seats (not that we'll ever be sitting down...

I was gonna buy reserved seats, but I was kinda confused on the difference between the Loge, Mezzanine, and Balcony seating.

I'm guessing the Loge is the best b/c those are the first rows up above the general admission people? Then the Mezzanine is the second best part?.....

Do people already have tickets for this gig?

I just wonder what time tickets would go on sale on Thursday (the 10th)??

Its probably not up yet since they aren't on sale until Sept 10th (according to the venues website) & that's 2 weeks away still.

Just kept checking back on TM.
