hey everyone,

Exams are just about over - but I have missed this place so much!!! My friend was telling me she went to the acoustic gig in London last night - she had an amazing time, and I realised that I just needed to come back here to get my Mika Fix back.

So yeh - Hope everyone had a lovely time at the gig (whoever went) - and I cant wait to hear/see all about it!!!

i would recommend Will and the people! if you are into reggae/ska they are the group for you! they have been tipped in the sun and the star for 09 bands to watch, so if you think you might be interested go to http://www.willandthepeople.com - this should take you to their myspace page and i would recommend the song "salamander"! it is a really feel good song, and their song "knocking" is out on 4th may and has already been on radio 1 with Jo Whiley!

also, they toured with the script and the hoosiers, and they are about to start their tour with girls aloud!

they are a really good band to look out for! if you like them, let me know! :-)

i have been so distant past couple of months and this is all due to exams and revision! just to wanted to say sorry that i left without saying goodbye, but now i am going to have to say goodbye.

I am in the run up to my GCSE's at the minute and they are extremely important to me, therefore i will not be on here every much over the next couple of months either. :-(

however, i have some good news out of not being on the MFC! - i have passed my ICT, english and maths GCSE's with grade B's, passed my RE exam, product design exam with Grade C's, and i have just passed 3/4 of my science exams!

so, this is goodbye, but not forever! xxxx

I've looked and can't believe that there's no thread for Jason Mraz yet!

 

I've loved him since I first heard him with The Remedy -- it's not the

same as it was with Mika, but still... there's something sweet about

his voice, and I love his laid-back, almost hippy approach to music...

and life in general, it seems.

 

His new album "We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things." is great on

so many levels, and the single, "I'm Yours," is so happy and uplifting

to me... reminds me a bit of Bobby McFarrin's old "Don't Worry, Be Happy"

tune, but still... I listen to it over and over again.

 

If you go to Mraz's myspace, read his blogs -- they are often hysterical,

often moving -- he's very literate and reading his prose, well, he has the

soul of an artist, it's clear. I wish I could conjure images with words

the way he often does.

 

Yesterday's blog made me laugh a lot though -- reminded me of when

Mika was doing all this touring, and made me wonder if his experience

was anything like the experiences Jason Mraz has charted here.

AND we have OFSTED in today and tomorrow......meh....but its funny, everytime they walk into one of my classes everyone shuts up and really listens, and when they go we start chatting again./...lol its a fizzle....but its all good!!!!

awww ok! lol you are gonna be busy busy busy this yr, huh

yep - i have revision sessions tues and thurs after school....tues and thurs lunch time - tues lunch i have prefect duty! - wed lunch - book club. wed after school - citizenchip course!!!! so that leaves mondays, fridays and weekends to get homework done and more revision so i make sure i pass in november!!!! - i have NOOOO social life!!!!!
