  1. Girls, I really, really need your help. I know that I can do this if we pull together and we work as a team. I've submitted my 3 songs from the upcoming album to T4 and Orange 'Unsigned Act Competition'. This is a prime time TV show in the UK (a bit like American Idol and X-Factor) where the audience votes on bands. With your help, I can could earn a place on the show, and work my way up to a huge recording contract. All you have to do is vote. 1. Signup here: http://orangeunsignedact.co.uk/signup 2. Once your signed-up go to http://orangeunsignedact.co.uk/acts/francisrodino 3. Click on "vote". You have to do this once a day until September 14th. It's only 8 days. I know you might think this is a pain but it's not. Once you're registered on the site you can make my page a favourite and just log on every morning and hit vote! There are 1700 people on this mailing list and if we can all pull together, I have an excellent chance. Please don't think your vote doesn't count. DO IT! COME ON MIKA FANS! YOU HAVE THE POWER TO HELP US GET ON THIS SHOW! A million thanks, Francis
  2. I check in from time to time - I can't keep up with you ladies. So. I'm reading the conversation here and I have a couple questions. 1. Am I the only straight guy in this forum? 2. Why do you love handcuffs so much, and what are their different uses? 3. Is everyone incredibly horny? (there's so much sexual inuendo) F
  3. It's possible, and sounds realistic. I want to have the record out becore I gig in London again though - so it's dependent on that. watch this space! I could never be angry at you, you beautiful little bundle of love.
  4. just promise before you ever ban me you give me hard ass-whoping first. I LIKE IT A LOT.
  5. I'm here to promote US not ME. Luke is my friend, fellow musician and is the thing that makes me relevent to the Mika fanclub. This thread is about what Luke and I are up to. It's called "Francis Rodino kidnapped Luke Juby" so what I post here is going to be related to how I'm having my wicked way with him. There are plenty of other places to promote my myself on my own. love all around. F
  6. "Burn" live from Aylesbury: http://www.buckstv.co.uk/hobble2008musicfrancisrodino.html (there's a wonderfully intense shot of Luke on piano :-) Interview: http://www.buckstv.co.uk/hobble2008interviewsfrancisrodino.html
  7. Respect! Before Mika was famous he had his online army whoring him! I thought i would follow in his footsteps. Plus, I love whores.
  8. there's always a chance! depends if people buy my album in Scotland!
  9. When is the next one so that I can FINALLY see what they're talking about, and get the famous Frankiss? I'm afraid I will not be gigging until the album is out. sad but true!
  10. i realise Ingie is 16. It's ok, I'm in no rush. plus, we have some world domination that we need to get down to. right Ingie?
  11. that's why i like to do it sometimes. because it's UNCOMMON.
  12. of course I do! - Ingie is my right hand woman in the Netherlands!
  13. Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you know that I've posted a video of our backstage antics on our trip to Amsterdam Check out the video here! I've also put the song "Burn" online on my website - I think it could be our single. Remember where you heard it first! Francis http://www.francisrodino.com
  14. ha ha hardly my lounge! the mixing desk would never fit! that's Steve Bush's London Studio. We do different parts of the recording in different locations depending on our needs. For example we did the foundation tracks at Rockfield Studios, Wales. Grand piano at Mark Angelo Studios in London. Both very big facilities. Nowadays it's more cost effective to work this way, and gives us great flexibility when we're not paying hefty studio rates! F
  15. Hi there, A few of you have been asking to see some video footage of Luke Juby in the studio, so I've created a little Mika Fanclub page on my website with a nice little video. You can access that page here: http://www.francisrodino.com/mikafanclub You need to login (or register). But that's only because I don't want to send out videos and other exclusive content to people who aren't interested. I hope you enjoy this little taster of studio life! Francis
  16. I don't have any tour dates yet as I my album is not out yet. But what I will try to do is drum up as much interest as possible in different territories. That's why it's so important to connect with fans and spread the word - I'll even have fans/friends organise some of my gigs in the different instances.. so we'll see. i'm not out of the studio yet, so touring is a little way off. i am playing in Amsterdam at the Paradiso on the 15th of August, and then a festival called "Hobble on the Cobbles" in Aylesbury, England on the 24th.
  17. Hi everyone, It's little old me again. I wanted to drop by from time to time to share my music with you. It was great getting to know many of you and it's a priviledge to share some of the stories from the studio, particularly working with my friend Luke Juby. I am finally able to play you one of the tracks I worked with Luke on. It's called "Blood" and it's inspired by a very dear friend of mine who is sadly fighting a terrible battle against Leukemia. The miraculous, scientific wonder of blood transfusions keep her (and so many other people) alive, and provide a further quality of life. Luke is playing grand piano and hammond on this track. I think you'll agree, it's simply beautiful. Click here to listen to the song >> It will be online for one day only, in the members section. It's free, and you can unsubscribe any time you like. This is part of a co-ordinated campaign to get my music out to only people who really care. Registering will give you insider access to the recording process, videos, interviews and direct access to all of the people involved in making my album, "Circles & Squares". At a time when labels are struggling, closing down and essentially trying to fight against the natural evolution of the music industry - the smart artists (like me! :-) are taking their music directly to music lovers (like you!) - building real connections/relationships with real people. My future as a recording artist does not lie in selling albums. Albums are (sadly) dying out. What I'm trying to show you is that I'm a human being, and I would love you to come see me perform, and progress - it's a long term vision. Moderators - thank you for having me, and I hope you don't find the occasional sharing of music intrusive in your wonderful community. I just found so many like-minded, lovely people here. It would be narrow-minded of me to ignore them. love all around. we Mika fans certainly have a lot of that, don't we. Francis http://www.francisrodino.com
