    There is a lot riding on the way this road turns out.

    Everyone has a lot riding on this.

     

    err it kinda hard to explain :blink: but il give it a shot! :)

     

    You say 'I have a lot riding on something/someone' if you put all your expectations into that thing/person, and kinda take a risk with it/them.

     

     

    So say I ask 'Mrs X' to do me a favour for something REALLY important, I would say 'I have a lot riding on Mrs X'!

     

    Or if I decide I decide to quit school and start a buisness, I would say 'I have a lot riding on this buisness', as if it goes bad, then il be in a bad situation. And I took a risk (quit school) to start it. :biggrin2:

     

    So 'everyone has a lot riding on this' means everyone has put all their hopes into whatever 'this' means.

    So, is anyone watching this season? I quite like the Julie storyline, interesting to see how that will go.

    Bree: ... I dunno, she used to be my favorite but I don't like her at all anymore. Not liking her storyline at the moment

     

    Lynette: job, kids, marriage... really, will it ever change...

     

    Gaby: I get the feeling she's filler. Tho she brings some comedy.

     

    LOVE the new family, well, only because of the new housewife. I really like Drea de Matteo and I think she plays her role perfectly.

     

    Katherine: :freak: nutjob!

     

    So all in all, I'm intrigued, but not because of the storylines of the housewives but because of Julie and the new neighbors.

     

    ive been watching it online coz it hasnt come to the uk yet!

     

    The julie storyline is pretty good!!! cant wait to see what happens!:biggrin2:

    I have a question.

    I don't know if anybody agrees or is even interested in this but here goes: Is it possible to change the photo of Mika in this contest & is anybody is interested or do you like that particular photo??

     

    No, as its mikas twitter pic!! Only he can change it!

     

    but maybe a sexy pic off him may attract random votes (not mika fans) :wink2:

    We can overtake him but it's *very* important to keep voting as much as possible, because the second place guy's fans will start up voting again when they're online - last night the gap between second and third went back up from 30 to 130 votes - we need to get a couple hundred ahead and keep voting to keep him in with a chance!!
