  1. How come? I thought all MFCers had stayed and met him inside the venue

Glad you got to see him as he was leaving at least :wink2:

Forgot to say, your reaction was so funny and natural :aah:

Haha thanks, I'm slightly frightened by my reaction but I'm glad some people seem to enjoy it. I actually just joined the MFC after the show, so I wasn't part of their Meet and Greet

  2. I'm in the new video! YAYYYYYYY.

    haha

I look like a complete idiot but I'm the one talking about glitter wristbands sounding very uneducated and then freaking out like a small child meeting Miley Cyrus when he appeared at the ice cream truck. I also got to say goodbye in the clip. I'm so excited, my face is the screencap for the video. haha. I know I recognized someone else from the MFC in the video but I'm not sure what her name was :/ Anyhow, it was so exciting just then to relive those two days.

  3. don't worry about :wink2:

the new song is beautiful, so i'm not surpised you chose you username after hearing it.

my name? if so, thanks :blush-anim-cl: some people get confused with the spelling, they always put Taylor or Tayla or Taylar.

i'd rather live in a warmer country :roftl:

yeah, I think you're spelling is really cool. I personally think California is too warm, we should swap! Haha, I love the rain and gloom.

  4. :roftl: it's just that there is another member with the name Blue Eyes. since before the new song :wink2: bit of a coincidence methinks:thumb_yello:

welcome :bye: i'm Tayler, from UK. 13 years old. not much left to say :naughty:

Aw dang. I didn't know someone else had that name. Sorry to whoever that is! I got it after hearing the new song actually. Hi, I really like how you spell your name by the way, and I wish I lived in England .

  5. you do realise you're so rediciously lucky that is isn't funny. :roftl:

..then why did i just laugh  maybe all the time i'm spending on MFC is driving me insane.

    *wanders away humming*

    Ahah, I'm sorry.

  6. Re the bolded part: :shocked::shocked:.

It's official, I must be an alien. I just don't get it. I don't mean to sound rude or offensive, but did you not stop to think for a minute that these people who you cut ahead of also wanted to be as close as possible, but just didn't want to be unfair to the others? We started queuing at 10 am for that reason.

    I'm officially gobsmacked.

I understand where you're coming from completely. I guess I didn't really realize that. I'm used to going to shows with pretty hardcore people who push and shove really violently to get to the front; as far as I was aware no one has ever expressed any real problems with it and it's always been expected for me. I realize now that Mika is definitely a different crowd and next time I'll try not to push forward. Thanks for calling me out, and I'd really like you not to think of me in a negative way now :/

  7. Aww welcome to the MFC :biggrin2:

Thanks for posting about you experience. It would appear Andy's obsessed with you :lol3:

And nice pictures with Mika :wub2:

    You're welcome.

Andy's quite adorable so I don't mind. apparently they're making a documentary, not sure if it's just on this two day event or what, but it was cool that he got us consistently with a beginning, a middle, and an end.

  8. Hey guys. I'm new here and this show was my first Mika show, and definitely not my last.

I've got some pictures so I'll be happy to post and share my story :)

When I went to go get the tickets on Tuesday at the Beverly Glen park there were maybe 30 or 40 people ahead of me. My little group seemed to catch the attention of Andy, Mika's videographer and so he interviewed my friends and I about how we found out about Mika, and the gig and asking if he was popular in the states. When I went up to get my wristband and ice cream there was no sign of Mika, Andy was videotaping everyone getting their ice cream as well. I asked for a powerpuff girls ice cream (that's my favorite) and when I looked up to get it Mika had hopped into the van and was holding my ice cream out for me. I just about had a heart attack. He was very nice and I got a hug but then had to move on. I bet the video Andy got of that was priceless.

    here's a blurry pic I got:

I got in line at the show around 3 the next day and Andy came and found my group and interviewed us again before we were let inside. I ended up worming my way to about the third row of people much to the dismay of the people around me but I wanted to get as close as possible. The show as great and everyone was so respectful of the new songs so everyone could hear the lyrics.

Here's some pictures I was able to take, sorry they're not better:

After the show we went outside and Andy interviewed us again asking what we thought of the new stuff, and then my friends and I went and sat on the stairs at the side of the building for almost an hour trying to see if we could meet Mika. We were just about to leave when a woman came up to us and quietly asked us "are you here for Mika?"

We said yes and she took us back along the side of the building and I wasn't sure what was happening but as we walked past a large black van the door opened and out popped Mika. It was all very exciting and I couldn't talk for a moment before I got over it. We told him how much we enjoyed his new stuff and he was very humble saying "Oh really? Thank so you much."

He was quite soft spoken. We took some pictures with him and when I asked if we could take a funny picture he laughed and said, "No, my face is already funny looking to some people." It was pretty endearing.

After that we got some stuff signed and said our goodbyes, it was the best first concert experience I could've asked for :)

here's some pictures of my friends and I with him

I'm the slightly unfortunate brunette.. haha:

  10. Hi guys!

My name's Ava and I'm new to the fan club after hearing about it at the surprise Mika show this last week.

I'm 16 and have lived just outside L.A all my life.

I've liked Mika since right before his album came out in the U.S in 07' and have loved him ever since

I'd love to talk to some cool people :)

  11. Hi guys!

My name's Ava and I just signed up for the fanclub. I've been a Mika fan since his album came out in the U.S in 07' and I'm 16 years old.

This past week was my first time seeing Mika in person when I went to go get wristbands for the free show and when I attended the actual show itself.

I was blown away by his talent and stage presence and I hope to talk to some cool people and share my experience at that show and the rest to come :)

    Thanks.
