I found this on Twitter, about gay influences in pop music in America.
It's on fire with love for Mika and NPIH, and says. "His songs will be sung a generation from now".
I don't know how to post the scan, but here's the link.

That is such an awesome article! It's one of the best US press articles I have read in a long time. That was my favorite part also..."His songs will be sung a generation from now" So true!

I would like to contribute to the flowers if it is possible.I've been talking to another Spanish fans and we've been discussing a great idea:
During the gig: the mobile thing, which is free and easier to organize (again, which song do you prefer? Good guys?)
Then we can give him the flowers as a symbolic act after his last song and in the dressing room we're going to prepare a typical Spanish food basket, not too big as we know he will have dinner later, it's like some little "tapas", we're going to add a good champagne (maybe 2 bottles, for the band as well) and Spanish wine, Iberian ham, beer cupcakes with his name and a special card with a message for him and our names.
For the flowers and the basket, it'd be 5 euros/person in total. If you're sure you want to participate, please let me know!

That was an awesome interview. Thank you so much for all the hard work Subtitling Team! Your work is very much appreciated.

I absolutely love this song. Driving to work today I had the song on repeat and played it six times in a row. It is so addicting!

The video for Underwater made me teary eyed when he called the audience fireflies and spoke to them so gently. The power of music.

Anyway, let's hope we can all see Mika back here sooner rather than later! As Monty Python once said, he's like a jam donut -- his arrival gives us pleasure and his departure merely makes us hungry for more. *sigh*
This is so true!

He didn't say it would be a Broadway show.
You are right. Whenever I think of a musical show I automatically think Broadway so that was on my mind. He didn't say Broadway show.

Mika has some interesting things to say about what's next for him in this interview. Be sure to watch until the end!

Now he wants to write a Broadway show? Is there anything he can't do? BTW whatever happened to the book he was writing?

Also thought I'd add this pic of the t-shirts I bought -- there were 4 different styles. These two, plus a white one (at least under the light it looked white) with buildings and different song lyrics (but I can't remember which song, may have been Good Guys?), and a black one with the buildings. They were all $30US
I hope they will sell them on the new mikasounds.com when it gets up and going. I really like those shirts!

Maybe this would help
I really like this song! I can't understand the lyrics yet but the music is beautiful and Mika's voice brings so much joy to me. He infects my heart with happiness. Thank you for posting the video.

And Paul de Leeuw was at the gig last night and asked Mika to be on his show when in the Netherlands!!!
That would be awesome! I love Paul de Leeuw.

I've changed Warhol in the first post.
So, any idea about patience? Is it really the only word that's not a name?!
Could patience be the British poet Patience Agbabi? Though she isn't a gay man she is bisexual and her works seem to be in the same vein as some of the other names mentioned. Just a thought...

Here is the interview with subtitles
The part when he talks a bit about the background of the song is at 15:27 (or 14:44 when you want the mustache part, too )
The mustache part was hilarious! Thank you to everyone who did the translating and subtitling. It is so nice to be able to understand interviews.

There's an ad running in the US advertising David Letterman's show's last season on the air, and Celebrate is playing in the background.
I heard the Letterman one last night. I yelled out "That's Mika playing in the background!"
For a few months before Christmas, whenever we would eat at the Outback Steakhouse, I would hear "Live Your Life". The first time I heard it I actually yelled out "That's Mika!" All the patrons in the restaurant turned to look at me but I was too busy dancing in my chair to notice. My husband was very embarrassed!

Simply beautiful. I was sobbing by the end of the video. His voice is powerful yet he seems almost vulnerable. The cinementagraphy is absolutely haunting and beautiful. Bravo Mika!

Here is a subtitled version of c à vous part one. As always, sorry if there are mistakes etc.
(with a special thanks to Log lady for support )
Thank you so much! This is awesome! I always try to watch interviews that Mika does even if I don't know what they are talking about. But to have the subtitles was simply wonderful and I appreciate the work you did on it.

I looked this evening on US iTunes and it was there!
Look on the front page for new singles. It's not on Mika's artist page.

Another -ancient - song about, you know boumboum:
LOL! I can't believe I forgot about this song! I loved Meatloaf (and this song!)...back in the 70's....when I was much younger...
What about us?

I count my blessings that I was able to see Mika perform live three times. However, I don't have the same hope I once had to be able to see him live again. Sometimes you just have to move along in your own life. Mika has to work just like everyone and he has to go where the work is. I could never blame him for that. I will always be a fan of his incredible talent but I can't control most of the US who do not share my admiration or even know who he is. I am thankful for Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, the MFC translating team, etc. for imagine trying to be a fan of Mika without these. My only problem is that I have a lot of Mika memorabilia that is completely useless since the US has forgotten him. I am giving most of it away. If Italian, French or any other fans are interested please message me. I probably won't have a lot of time and it needs to go to true fans.
