I only got to listen to UW a few times yesterday and went to bed vexed that I couldn't even remember a single note off it but when I came home today and put the song, it felt completely different - I remembered it all as if it's been played in my head all night while sleeping - and now I love it.

The only thing I am not very impressed with is the piano in the beginning, although I think it goes really well with the song. It's just that in its simplicity it reminded me of a bunch of other songs, namely his 'Everybody's Talking' cover and even Karen (even when I listened to Karen I still thought of ET). I don't know why my mind always finds something connected to Everybody's Talking lately

But all in all, yes, THIS song definitely hit the right note for me.

Asa ar parea logic. De fapt eu nici n-am verificat pe bune aici pe MFC faza cu decembrie/Craciun, doar am vazut ceva tweeturi cum ca el a anuntat ca isi va lansa albumul mai repede. Sper oricum, oricand ii vine cheful sa-i dea drumul, sa fie 100% pregatit pt asta.

Wow, this thread seems pretty deserted Has nobody listened to or detected something amazing in KOL's music since 2010?

I've always known some of their songs from the last few albums, but these days something made me want to dig deeper into their musical world and one week later I can almost call myself a fan but I'm not sure how long this will last.

Anyway, I made a random search today and came to the conclusion that their gig tickets are never less than around $65

I guess this is justified ever since they became so big in the industry, but can anyone who has seen them, tell me if it's really worth it?

I agree with that. When I heard that song I thought that it would appeal to people who think that Mika is all about the fluffy-stuff, lollipops and such. Because I think BIOTW is romantic, maybe a bit chlched, but still a great song to introduce people to Mika.

Can I say, as well, I was hooked on Elle Me Dit before, and now I'm hooked on She Tells Me! This too could be a great song to introduce people to the genius that is our MIKA! I love the mixture of English and French in the new version!

Yes, I thought BIOTW would appeal to romantic souls especially, but it's also not that very Mikaish so as to drive any new listeners away... I'd like to think PUOTF is on the same wavelength 'cause I'm really really hooked on that song lately

About Elle Me Dit/She Tells Me... I haven't gotten used to the English version yet (I still watch the video with French lyrics playing in my mind), but I guess I will soon. I can say though that EMD is not a song to be played to those who don't know or don't plan on learning French (true story); It's harder to like something when you don't understand what you hear, even though I totally visualize all those people starting to dance or hum along if they hear it by chance due to its incredible catchiness

Okay, I presented this song to a friend of mine who only likes Lollipop and frankly doesn't care much about anything else of his work, and here she is after two days, blaming me for her not being able to draw this song out of her mind, asking me for other gig videos and wanting to observe on every single thing with me.

So this might turn into a potential let-me-introduce-you-to-Mika-so-you-can-get-to-like-him song And I noticed that if you show them a good video where you can clearly see the surroundings as well, the stage setting is a huge advantage and makes them want to see more

I totally agree with the bolded part. After having listened to it for so many times, the combination of their voices (which made me keep aloof in the first place) seems perfectly normal to my ears now. I only wish he had... I dunno, some deeper or more developed lyrics to it

It was Grace Kelly, though he wasn't seen much on the Romanian TV channels really until he released Happy Ending, which became not a hit, but quite a bomb around here

But at Belgrade gig, which was total disaster and we had to leave because it was too painfull to watch her mumbling all the time and stumbling across the stage, not knowing in which country actually she has been performing, I coluld have predicted nothing good for her. What a wasted life and career.

It's a pity, cos she had amazing talent, voice and music.

You were at that concert? I can't imagine the pain of seeing such an artist self-destructing herself right before her fans' eyes... especially if they're die-hard ones or just people who really followed her through the years. When you see that she's still so young and has so much to offer, you always hope for the better and never accept to settle for anything worse than that

Personally I can't say I didn't see this coming, but after having just read an article about her returning on stage to support her goddaughter, when scrolling down and seeing this comment "Amy Winehouse dead. Source - Reuters. RIP Amy", of course you're not going to believe it, thinking of it as 'just another hoax'. However, I gave it a google search just to be sure, and that's when I was left dumbstruck by the multitude of seemingly fresh, real articles that confirmed it.

May Amy's soul finally find the peace it never found in this world.

After reading that he dedicated the concert to the Oslo victims and Amy Winehouse, it was a bit of a (nice) surprise to see right after that even the whole show had been filmed and posted online... I was a bit concerned about the atmosphere since he performed in such sad circumstances, but if he managed to handle it all, as you all say, then I'm truly happy to hear that
