  1. The show was wonderful, as usual, but always different !

The place is very beautiful. There was a little wind coming from the sky. Excellent evening! :wub2:

Special mention to “Stuck in the middle” that has become along the gigs one of the best parts with the introduction on piano, the groove, the trumpet solo at the end with Mika moving his hips and this incredible melody improvisation. :roftl:

For “Blame it on the girls”, he divided the audience into two groups. And as we were in the arena, there were the bulls and the toreadors. I was in the second, even if I would have prefered to represent the animals. At each gig, I sing the “blame it on the boys” part and as I am a girl, it suits me well! And we won!!! I loved (even if it was not the first time) the cross sign and church part in latin after “but you know he’s dead”. :teehee:

“Rain” put fire in Nîmes. It was like we were out of space!

He sang “Kick Ass” too. It was the first time I had heard it in a show. And it was great!

And “la solitude” again by Barbara, my favorite song for years! Always so moving! (My God! How did he know?) :blush-anim-cl:

It last more than one hour and half (about… I didn’t have a watch) and each minute was full of joy and emotion.

  2. Ok.... well, you had to wait from 11 PM to 2 AM.... 3 hours of standing in heels.... Poor you! Still think it was worth it.... so much!

I had no choice, I had to wait for my lift!

Anyway, I was still in the show, the weather was nice, I was in Monaco, a place where people from the whole world come, and I had just found a opportunity to get home before the day after. So you know, waiting, being tired, thirsty, feet hurt, who cares? I felt so lucky and was so happy to be there for this special gig that was so amazing!

  3. I know, but still! I mean, of course the gig, I am so happy I could be there, it was almost a private gig.... But I WANTED TO MEET HIM! You know I spent one month out of my life to make the gift for him and I didn't even get the chance to give it to him.... Could you at least post here the photo you have taken with him? I'd love to see it.

Unfortunatly, I don't have the pics yet (as I had no camera, no nothing). I am waiting for two people to send them to me... But of course, I will show them to you as soon as I get them.

And you know, if Mika had showed up earlier, I would have tried to phone you as you were staying so close, but I was quite sure you were already arriving in Cannes by that time.

  4. If I knew he WOULD arrived, I'd wait the whole night if i HAD TO, i told you! It was so important for me, and to give him my gift and everything. You know it's just.... I don't know. When you want something so badly and you're about to get it, you're almost there.... Then it turns out to be other way, and the only thing you get is the pain caused by an unrealized dream....

    Poor Elaire, I understand.

But the gig! Remember the gig! It was so terrific! :wub2:

And you have plenty of beautiful pics! :thumb_yello:

  5. The show was truly amazing, terrific, awesome. :mf_lustslow:

Mika was maybe tired (that's what he said when he arrived at Nice airport a few hours before) and the audience was maybe not enthiuastic enough but anyway, IT WAS WONDERFUL, completly wonderful from the very beginning till the end of the end.

Mika was so generous on stage, dancing and smiling.

He also sang "la solitude", my favorite song by Barbara, which is always very moving... :wub2:

I was very close to the stage which was little, almost could touch him!!!

As Cubitus (so happy to have met you!) said, Elaire and I didn't follow him to show up during the show. It went so fast, we had a second to make a decision. Elaire was hesitating (she will tell you exactly what she felt, I don't want to talk instead of her) but I must admit for myself I didn't want to take the risk to miss a minut of the gig. It would have been a great experience, but seeing the concert so close to Mika was so amazing! It was like a private concert!

It was the best National Day of my life... :roftl:

I hadn't eaten, hadn't drunk (except a juice in the afternoon), my legs hurt terribly (as Cubitus said again, we were well dressed, so it wasn't comfortable), I danced so much my hair was wet, i was tired, but it was worth it!

After the show, I waited with Elaire who left about one hour and half later or so, bacause a security guy told us Mika had already left. I was lucky to wait for somebody who agreed to take me home and who seemed to feel well in the place, because we finally saw Mika. He was gorgeous, smiling. He signed documents for people and took photos with us.

Arrived home at 4, exhausted but SO HAPPY!

I had seen Mika before, but always in big halls. In this little salle des étoiles, it was completly different. And completly TERRIFIC!

I knew it was going to be wonderful, but couldn't imagine it would be this wonderful! :mf_lustslow:

    And I had forgotten...

When I was posing with Mika (and the group), I said to people taking photos "Mitraillez, mitraillez!" which in French is a mix of " to machine-gun" and "to snap away" (Cubitus, correct me if I am wrong). Mika found it very funny because he laughed and repeated, still laughing "Mitraillez, mitraillez!" :biggrin2:

    Thank you so much, Suzie!

This song is so moving... I love Barbara.

Thinking Mika knows this song (one of my favorites ever) and sings it during his show is just AMAZING!

What a beautiful surprise! What a beautiful gift!

Quel immense artiste! Il n'y a que lui pour offrir de telles performances!

    Merci!

  8. Here are two vids by YT user Isaolive13.

    Happy Ending:

Ove My Shoulder with just over two minutes of Mika talking at the beginning:

Gosh - Mika is sweating a lot!

I would love to know what Mika said in the two minutes of talking before OMS if anyone would be knid of enough to translate for some of us here?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

This is what he said in (my approximative) English. Forgive my mistakes...

"We are very proud to come here for the second time.

We were very happy and quite surprised the first time, so your welcome us for the second time is a great honor. Thanks a lot.

Even if I look like somebody walking out of a pool, it is your fault, it is hot in the South!

Are there people from Villeneuve-Loubet here tonight? I spent 10 years when I was a child every summer in Villeneuve-Loubet. We went stealing cokes and sweets from the hotel.

    (piano)

What am I doing? I have completely forgotten. There’s a romantic melody running.

I am going to sing a song I recorded one week after my fifteen’s birthday in a little garage with my friends.

    (song)"

    Lovely, huh?
