  1. I'll edit my comment: many many Dutch fans are truly amazing - and indeed the front of the Q was very Dutch and super super super: chill, kind, fun!!!

Including the daughter holding the M& I ❤️❤️❤️❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🩷🩵

    (I too am Dutch born...)

it was just a few nasties slightly further back (who did get numbers and then refused to "play" according to the rules. But it is often the case that the Dutch find the idea of a Q a very organic concept 🥺

  2. (no point posting a review in the pre-show thread, dih!!)

What a show!!! Brilliant day in the Q ruined a tiny bit by the Dutch dicks who refused to move to their spot in line and hurling unwarrented insults at me (seriously only and always the Dutch)

But Mika was having a blast, the fan action with the hearts worked a treat, and due respect was called out by Mika..

The energy, oh my word. the song selection (so much for studying them French lyrics for months 😅) what a surprise!

I keep forgetting how good he is.

    That opening blew my mind!

Been thinking about the bougez en budge comment: budgie.. is obviously a wee birdie - is there a link with the costume and stage prop of cage there?? Or am I to interpret it as angels wings (only) when trapped in  a heavenly cage __  in a devilish suit... I like that juxtaposition of ideas...

or is that so bleedingly obvious I shoulda just kept my gob shut?

thanks all for a great time. I did not prep this concert. Every single moment was a surprise and a treat. And it was amazing.

Thank you to everyone here who recorded it and posted it 😭 Dutch commentary didn't show it and chatted the whole way through clips. He looks FAB and it's so exciting to see the new chest la vie live! Makes me VERY stoked for the tour

I have to say it, this was one of my favourite shows of my entire career. The audience was extraordinary. That rare mixture of tenderness and ferociousness and hundreds of new faces. Thank you to all there who made my return to London so special. May it be the first of many more including new projects in UK ❤️🏽🏽🏽❤️

I see myself 3x and child with their arms around Mika once.. such cool photos.

And yes, i nicked the roses someone else threw.. they landed on the floor so i had them rescued. And they got to mika in the end! All good.

  6. Mika triumphs

The first time I saw Mika I went with the kids - then 8 and 10. He blew my mind: the visuals, the show. I have followed him ever since, no longer needing the kids as an excuse. My last concert before lockdown was Mika in New Zealand of all places. Now 14 years later Mika was the best I have EVER seen him.

Last night in the Roundhouse magic happened. Mika suggested as much at the start - but I thought that was just, you know, artist chat. I couldnt have been more wrong.

Mika gave us more chat and sincerity than I have heard before. Moving words about his mother and family home. Sincere words about where he is at. It was wonderful to be part of the 'inner circle' for a bit.

Mika also gave us: a lot of Mika! Bare-chest, ripping off bits of clothing, swooping cape and crown, borrowing those marvellous rose-tinted heart glasses from a fan, he interacted, he ran, stood on his tippietoes, jumped his classic Mika jumps, prowled the stage, jumped into the audience to be with us,  went all out 'clubbing' and dancing. Each minute he was on stage his joy grew. The audience absolutely adored him and we fed off each other till we reached dizzying heights of exstacy! And his smile just grew and grew and grew! At one point I thought he would explode with sheer happiness.

The setlist was free and clearly what Mika wanted to sing that night (no regiment of an album to follow) - Billie Brown tore the roof off - his voice was superb throughout! We got beautiful quiet with a new song - a small song that needs no showmanship, just Mika singing and us listening.

Yoyo - if that is not going to breakdown nightclubs all over Europe, I dont know what will! Under water, and all those classics!

Yesterday I witnessed a man who has grown from a brilliant singer but at times shy performer (2008)  to a man who is completely out there (literally): he is proud of who he is, his songs have stood the test of time (and are so much more than silly bubblegum pop) and he sings them with absolute conviction. This was the BEST mika I have ever seen.

The Roundhouse is a magic venue (the staff are the best, respecting the Q, sorting us all out) but I'd say it was not just the venue: love is a funny old emotion - when you truly give, you get it back double. Last night that it went both ways. Mika gave us all he had, and we gave all we had. We are both so much the richer for it.

THANK YOU MIKA for a night that will keep me lifted off the ground for many many days!

I have got tickets!! Its my first Mika show and im going with my mum!

Also, as my mum is there and i am still not out to my mum as transgender, im going to introduce myself to people there as “Hannah” rather than Jack. XD

    Jack
I do not know you from Adam (or Eve)... but as a mum of a non-binary child take my advise: tell her --- being out might be scary and your mum might struggle with the idea but it is worth every step of the way, even if that will take time (and longer than you may think is necessary) or no time whatsoever. If you love your mum - please tell her before London.

On the venue website: https://m.rockhal.lu/agenda-m/show/detail/mika-2/ ... there should be a link tomorrow.

It's not numbered. But if you buy a seated ticket and choose a frontrow place in one of the upper balconies (if you don't arrive last minute), you should be fine.

The presale codes are for all gigs. For Utrecht I think you wouldn't need one, but it's sold out in the presale. London there's still standing tickets available, so if someone has a spare code for you, you can try that.

Mellody thank you --- so i just need a code.. anyone?

Silly thing is -- obviously gonna buy the record anyways so sill i wasn't aware of the album presale thingie
