  1. Girls, your photos and reports amazing!!!! And your English is fine, although perhaps I'm not the most indicate to assure it. Ask Mika :wink2:

I was with Paula and Mikasister and totally agree with them! I'll only add 2 things:

1.- It was the first time I saw Mika from the front row and woooow!! :wub2: I'll never forget that, it was so stunnig see him dance... so moving see him singing the accoustic version of stardust... I love the way he interacts with the public. I was also in Lovebox and Heaven, and here Mika was more confident: we exchanged glances sometimes and that's such a great experience!:fangurl:

2.- Like always, I got a bit shy when Mika was signing autographs, I went there just cause I wanted to give him some presents, well, wanted to give it to his family because I met them at the Heaven disco and they were very kind. But we (Mika and I) began to chat and I forgot giving it , stupid as I am! :blush-anim-cl:

I was there since the morning but the time went away so fast!! I this is thank the wonderful people I met there and the time we spent writing and painting banners... It doesn't matter where you go, in every gig you find some great mikafans!!

  2. MY REPORT

I really wish that Mika read this, not only to be aware of how much we took account of the effort he did last night singing in Madrid, but also to let him know that he should take care of his voice... It doesn't mean to cancel gigs, perhaps it's enought to arrange the dates of the tour differently, so that Mika an the band could take more an longer rests between one gig an another. I am sure that everybody would wait a little more to go to a gig if it's necessary.

But despite Mika's voice problems, the gig was amazing, intense, funny... even more than others where I've been. Mika was cheerful and full of energy like always. He made big efforts to sing the high notes of Stardust, Grace Kelly and others, but the people helped a lot. Above everything with the chorus, because not everyone Knew all the full texts... but the lack of voice didn't affect Mika's performance. I think that each time he's better at dancing... and at speaking Spanish!!!

We laught a lot. This time Mika was determined to make each member of the band dance for the first time... and they finally did, and in very funny ways. Perhaps you could find some video of this in youtube. Curti's lost his cover, so Mika take profit to show us a "piano-streptease":lmfao: And surprise.... the other piano (the main) answered to the "striptease" with a lot of lights!

... and full setlist! 'encores' of Grace Kelly, Lollipop and We are golden included! Although in some moments Mika had to stop to caught and I got a little worry. But our encouragements, the involment of all the public of the whole hall made the difference: as Mika said during the gig, the public really gave him a lot of positive energy to keep him singing. I'm totally sure of that.

Btw, the sound quality in the hall (La Riviera) was very good, better than I though and my view from a side from the 3rd row was excellent. And Mika's too, because he saw our placard, took Veromika's memorable flag... good place was it. The bouncers were a bit annoying and frighttening, but it's comprehensive in the circumstances.

I really think that Mika shouldn't have went out to sign after the gig. Even if I was taking a present for him. It was cold and humid outside, not good conditions for someone who has trouble with his throat. I was rather expecting him to go out in the van, but I waited for my friends and for the afterparty at la Riviera... but finally Mka went out, and the fans run around him massively! The bouncers had to keep them away. They were so many people, and it was so oppressive that I kept myself apart. Never ha seen so many people pushing around one person!! Finally my boyfriend gave him the present and after that Mika went, pardon, run away. It was a bit like that :omg_fans:. Sorry, I'm not used to the "fan phenomen".

But as I said.... it was a wonderful gig! Mika take care of your voice!!

  3. surely we will visit La Sagrada Familia :thumb_yello: the boyfriend of my daughter is fond of art and our hotel is close to the ramblas :original:

    thanks :huglove:

I also want to visit La Sagrada Familia! last time I was there they were restoring it :)

I was in Tuscany (la Toscana, in other words) a month ago and generally it's the same weather than in Barcelona. I'd only recommend to take a good coat and a foulard or similar when you are going out at night... but the weather is going to be fine!

  4. AND HERE GOES MY REPORT... sorry for the delay, I went to work after the journey, and after that to sleep of course, I had to remember myself that I'm human after having seen this FABULOUS gig)

    :plane::spain::plane::spain::plane::spain:

So best Mika gig and best gig in general ever seen!!! (well, it’s my 4th mikagig) I loved the venue, the organization, the song list and of course… mika’s performance. From the 7th row I could feel the passion, the interaction and the sincerity from Mika with the public. You can judge by yourselves watching the videos in youtube.

We three Spanish girls arrived at London in the afternoon, had a shower and went directly to the Heaven by foot. We did well, cause London was crowded and going on foot you can always slip between the people and ask the policemen (very helpful, btw) where to go to avoid the blocked streets. We almost saw the Olympic Torch but I think we deserve one for ourselves, we arrived to the disco in record time :winner_first_h4h:.

There was a long row to get in, or better said, two rows because we were too many people. Even a “typical English man” (with his grey suit and a hat) asked me why we were queuing. At a quarter to 7 the doors opened and the people went in perfect order, no one running or pushing. The bouncer very funny, as he saw we were carrying 2 books (presents for Mika) he told us not to go in, the Reading Club was in the next local

Only when we where in the disco some people were pushing, and trying to sneak forward between the public, it was hot and I smelled how the people were sweating… but soon I forgot everything because the music of the disco was great. 10 out of 10. I wish I found a disco in Spain with that music, although there wasn’t any DJ mixing it, probably it was a CD. Had a great time dancing, so I didn’t feel any tired but very amused!

At 8:30 Mika came on stage. I saw him soooo big…. Well he IS tall, but he seemed even taller because the stage was narrow and was close to the public. He jumped, shouted, danced in a irresistible way, laught, everything… particularly funny the moment when the spotlights wrongly didn’t point at him while he was presenting a song (I think it was Billy Brown), he lose the thread but said. “Well… it wasn’t important anyway”.

Great surprise: he played practically all the songs from past gigs and the new ones too (not the ones in French, of course), so it was a super-long-gig and I felt like in another world (like in Heaven I could say) and wished it would never never end…

All the people were expecting him to take his shirt off because it was really hot (I was rather wishing to take mine off but well, I’m a girl…), so somebody threw his sweatshirt to Mika, he took it, made as he would try it on, but as he smelled it he threw it away. And just then another t-shirt came “flying” to him. Awesome what people can do during a gig.

I also noticed Joy (batterist) chewing gum during the gig. Don't like that, but when she plays right, ok.

Aaaah, and I love the new piano man and clarinetist :wub2: good feeling with Mika, he literally jumped over him from the piano, hehe.

Ah! Great dances from Mika on the piano. I wonder how they do so that it doesn`t crack down under his feet

The version of “Make You Happy” was wonderful. Without that weird synthesizer it’s far far better (Mika: didn’t you hear that our voices sound much better and louder?). And of course, the presentation of “the Origin of Love” unforgettable, as you will have read in the reports before. But what I didn’t like was that during the other presentations people were shouting so loud that it was impossible to hear what Mika was saying.

We weren’t at the M&G… and after reading Sariflor’s review I’m glad not to have been. In spite of that I had some chat with Mika’s mother, Paloma, Fortuné and Zuleyka. I wouldn’t bother them and I use to be very shy, but they are so nice people that I end make jokes with Frotuné, Zuleyka and some friends. I never thought they were so nice. Particularly Mika’s mother always had inspired me some kind of silent respect… but speaking to her I felt like speaking to my aunt. I think the trick is to be educated and honest talking to them, and in case they preferred to speak intimately I leave them soon. But of course I gave Fortuné and Zuleyka our books so that they could give them to Mika. Their interest was 100 times better then attend to a crowded and stressful M&G. By the way!! As we were going direction Trafalgar to have our own afterparty, we saw Mika going out from the venue with the car and said bye-bye!

That was what I call 12 well spent hours in London!!!

  5. He spoke catalan a little bit more. Before the gig someone from the stage put a paper on his piano. It was a small welcome in catalan she said "estic molt content d'estar aquí amb aquest primer concert a França i a Catalunya" I think cause Argelès and that part of Perpignan forms part of "Catalunya nort" so this is why he did it. Well someone said to him to do that.

It's a matter of politics and I don't care absolutely just I was pleasently surprised he speaks in catalan :wink2:

Maybe it's Occitan, the dialect spoken in Perpignan, but it's not official as Catalan in Spain does.

    http://www.panoccitan.org/ :wink2:

  7. Everything has been said. :)

To my big surprise I really enjoyed (most of) the DJ sets before Mika was on and found myself dancing along and really enjoying myself.

And then: Mika came on stage...:mikacool:

The show was great, so much energy! It was good to see Mika jumping around on stage like he has always done and I must admit that "Celebrate" is indeed a great live song. It was well worth travelling over to London from Germany. :lg: I couldn't tell he was more nervous than usually - he did great!

Would love to know more about the band...Maybe mika will intorduce them to us when they are doing a longer show...It was cute to see that the backing singer was really nervous before the show walking up and down all the time before coming on stage. :wink2:

I also loved Patrick Wolf and Lana del Rey whom I went to see afterwards. :wink2:

The festival as a whole was pretty much perfect, such a nice event: A cool atmosphere, relaxed/fun people and good music - what more do we need?! Might go back next year just to live this experience again. :wub2:

I TOTALLY agree with you. The DJ set was not bad, but perhaps it's because I love every kind of music and I have a serious problem: I hardly can stop dancing once I listen to some kind of music!

And yes... from the second row I saw Mika blushing at the beginning, moving from one side to another and sometimes looking at the crowd a bit insecure. :blush-anim-cl: But this was only the first seconds. But.... isn't this our true Mika? Perhaps he changed his hairstyle and his music in some way but... I think Mika is still the same.

By the way, I'm also from Germany but came from Spain, the plane was a great value as well :wink2:

And to finish, yeah, Lana was great. I had listened to her before, but her gig at Lovebox moved me to tears.

    So..... AWESOME FESTIVAL!!!!!

  8. ¡¡¡Hola chicas!!!

I can be anything you want").

  9. First, thanks for your pics and videos!!!! I feel as if I'm there again, although I'm already at home in Spain...

You've described it all perfectly, so I've nothing left to say. Specially agree with Kasia's report.

The stage was pretty small and not very crowded, which for me was just perfect!!! It's true that Mika seemed nervous at the beginning but CHARMING AWESOME SUPERB as always. I missed the prevoius mika band but the woman singer was very good and very funny. And the effects with the micro in MYH superb.

It was the first time that I saw him from so near so I was like Oooooooooh :swoon: but just as Eloise....

    PART 2

I jumped ALOT. I'm sorry to whoever was behind me. I really am. But I couldn't resist :teehee: He saw me and Mair's OK sign, and smiled :teehee: I can't actually remember alot, but my videos are uploading so it will rejog my memory later :naughty:

Sorry too to everyone besides me :blush-anim-cl: Well, OK, prefer to remember Mika's jumps and not mine so I'm gonna see the vids again.

    PART 2

The M&G was pretty much a short mess. Treasa was very kindly trying to get me to the front, but I felt bad pushing through D: But I got a nice little spot to just stare at him as he talked to the spanish girls. Unfortunely I didn't get a photo, or anything signed  But I gave him my 'certificate' and he giggled a bit and said thanks

I was one of the girls.... it's true, Mika spoke a lot in Spanish, and very well! Better than before!! And I spoke to him in English  (I was super nervous, was my first M&G) I neither got a photo nor anything signed, cause he though my card was a present :lmfao: but OK , I'm satisfied with his CDs, videos, etc. so let's have him something of his fans :)

It really was a great day. Very very relaxed and chilled.

Enigma ( sorry we didn't meet btw - I never saw you at all) I basically went VIP for the toilets and they were definitely a million times better. However, I am not sure that they were £50 worth better and other than seats we didn't get an awful lot more! Having said that I did get a free make up session!

Totally agree, I also was VIP (prefer to say it in this way:naughty:)

But..... I feel so sorry not haved recognize you, Kath..... I'm a newbie fan and not what you call a "hardcore fan", so I use to go relaxed with my friends and am a bit shy to begin to ask everybody who is it.

And the VIP area was pretty relaxing and weird, found a lot of dragqueens in the ladies "posh WCs" :teehee: was funny to dress up in front of the mirror just next to one of them.

But the next time I would'nt buy VIP tickets. 50 pounds literally into the toilet.

And Mellody heeeey!!! next time I'd love to meet you. Btw.... understand and envy (in a positive manner) your :fangurl: moment!!!

Ah, and the gig of Lana del Rey was also very good but that's another issue.

Soooo, I'll hurry up to watch your super videos again (I couldn't film... was too excited, my camera would tremble) and return to work (work, what's that?)

  10. I absolutely foooking love it. :teehee: Seriously, put your headphones in, turn it up HIIIIIIIIGH and close your eyes. Imagine the lovebox :mf_rosetinted:

    AND YOU SHALL UNDERSTAND *dies*

Don't mention it!!!! Hardly can wait for London, for Mika.... and now Lovebox. Gonna be supreme!

Take care of your ears :wink2:

  11. Ok sorry maybe it's because it is a VIP ticket...

I've found that: "If you would prefer to speak to someone directly, please call our Customer Support Team on 08444 999 999. The lines are open Monday to Friday from 10.00am to 8.00pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Once in the queue please hold and we will answer your call as soon as possible. Please have your booking reference and credit card details ready."

So maybe if someone (that is fluent in english) can give a call for you to have futher informations about it, it could help you... By the way your english is very good, it is enough to explain your situation...

    Hi!! :bye:

Apart from calling, you can contact them doing the following:

    1. On the lower-left part of the ticketmaster.co.uk site, choose "International".

    2. You will see a map, ignore it and on the right upper part of the site, choose "Contact us".

    3. When the arrow of "choose your country" appears click on "United Kingdom"

    4. Click on the "Contact Office" of ticketmaster.

    5. As shorter and briefer you put your message, as sooner they will answer you. In any case, first you will receive an automatic reply and some hours (or a day) after, they will answer you.

Once you have contact them, you can change your order to collect them at the venue's box.

A friend told me that on a recent Cold Play's gig they sent all the tickets just 48 hours before the gig... so probably most of us are receiving them on Friday but if you can't collect them then... better get in contact with ticketmaster to change the option.

That's from my own experience, hope you have good luck!

See you at the gig! :wink2:
