  1. These cookies is a Christmas classic and they taste yummy!

    This is my hubby's grandmother's recipe :wub2:

    Ingredients:

    - 1 cup of butter soft (out of the fridge for a few hours)

    - 1/2 cup of brown sugar

    - 1 egg yolk

    - 2 cups of flour

    - pinch of salt

    - 1 tbs of white sugar

    - 1 tbs of milk

    - 1 tsp of vanilla

    - colored sprinkles

Hint: It is easier to mix the ingredients with your hands then with a mixer, but that's up to you.

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together:

With the dough, make 1 1/4" round balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet:

    I love cookies.

I promise I'll make it by myself this christmas

  2. It took me a few minutes to remember, but then I found it.
at just under six minutes in . . . he doesn't actually say he was wearing nothing underneath, but says "let's just put it this way, I hope the rushes never ever ever come out." :aah:

Don't you hope it ever come out? :teehee:

  3. Here the recipe. You can serve it on christmas. Remember to use beef, not the other meat because it will take hours to get the fine texture.

    Beef Rendang

    Ingredients:

1 1/2 pound boneless beef short ribs (cut into cubes)

    5 tablespoons cooking oil

1 cinnamon stick (about 2-inch long)

    3 cloves

    3 star anise

    3 cardamom pods

1 lemongrass (cut into 4-inch length and pounded)

    1 cup thick coconut milk

    1 cup water

2 teaspoons tamarind pulp (soaked in some warm water for the juice and discard the seeds )

6 kaffir lime leaves (very finely sliced)

    6 tablespoons kerisik (toasted coconut)

1 tablespoon sugar/palm sugar or to taste

    Salt to taste

    Spice Paste:

    5 shallots

    1 inch galangal

    3 lemongrass (white part only)

    5 cloves garlic

    1 inch ginger

10-12 dried chilies (soaked in warm water and seeded)

    How to serve:

    1. Chop the spice paste ingredients and then blend it in a food processor until fine.

    2. Heat the oil in a stew pot, add the spice paste, cinnamon, cloves, star anise, and cardamom and stir-fry them until aromatic.

    3. Add the beef and the pounded lemongrass and stir for 1 minute.

    4. Add the coconut milk, tamarind juice, water, and simmer on medium heat, stirring frequently until the meat is almost cooked.

    5. Add the kaffir lime leaves, kerisik (toasted coconut), sugar/palm sugar, stirring to blend well with the meat.

    6. Lower the heat to low, cover the lid, and simmer for 1 – 1 1/2 hours or until the meat is really tender and the gravy has dried up (more dry will taste better)

    7. Add salt to taste. You can add sugar if you want. But don't add too much

    8. Serve immediately with steamed rice or baked potatoes

you have rice for breakfast? i didn't know that! i love learning new things on MFC! :blush-anim-cl:

i could have rice for breakfast, dinner & supper! i love it! :wub2:

Yes, we have rice for the whole day. Maybe it's because our country produces more rice.

But, sometimes I eat bread for breakfast :teehee:

I will post the traditional recipe from my country later. It takes hours to serve it. Spicy meat mixed with coconut, we call it Rendang.

  6. And in portuguese "arroz doce" (sweet rice) :biggrin2:

In Indonesia, we call it "Bubur".

But, the taste is more spicy because we don't add sugar, milk, even cinnamon.

We add salt, pepper, pea, and chicken chopped.

We usually having it as breakfast.

But, I will try the sweet pudding rice.

I think it will be nice

  9. Yes because a metaphor like an umbrella (-ella -ella) is not strange at all. :wink2:

I don't think being under water is the metaphor. It's that this love is as life sustaining as air.

That's why he call his next album 'The Origin of Love'.

Maybe he means the origin of love is full of metaphor. No words can exactly explain what love is.

Anyway, I truly love this song

  10. Seoul Korea MFCers were the first ones to hear "live" Mika's new song called "Under Water"
