well he's on there too , some little parts of an interview. and i don't know which interview it is :aah:

  3. Really? :aah: Surprising, but my parents like Mika too so there's some more persian fans for him lol They only like him and Michael Jackson (probably because of me)

I understand most persian but I can't speak/write perfect, since I don't speak it often.

oh what a great child you are! :teehee: my parents are not so in Mika but they like some of his songs :teehee: and also not a lot of my friends like him, 2 or 3 :aah:

  4. part 2:

Girl: thanks for the report! Now tell me behnam, how does NY take him serious?

B: *laughs* well you know he's got a lot of fans here but the arena that he had a show in wasn't a big one, there were about 400 people and there was no other free space and a critic from New York describes atmosphere in Webster hall to a a huge party with 400 guests the spotlight on Mika. A while ago they arranged a competition for those who wanted to come on stage with Mika and the winners came on and sang some songs from this album, like "Love Today" and "Blame It On The Girls" (:mf_rosetinted:) . we've got some of this show's pictures from his fan club (:teehee: ) . Sean Herburg (? Can't understand his name) wrote Mika's problem is, with his new works, he has to also represent his huge success from his previous records too so he tries to keep maturity and also crazy joyful rhythm from last, both in his new records and the result is he always has to put less new songs onn his concert's setlist. Also Sean what (:aah: ) admires Mika's huge energy on stage so Mika's performing will look joyful and energetic because of his dance moves, so sometimes his shows look colorful and theatrical and sometimes he makes people to cry with his sad songs. His talent and humer and his power in speaking different languages, make his fans all around the world to love and support him . (:wub2:) Mika is going to tour 5 other cities in US to support his new album which released last month and he will definitely be back for bigger shows .

Girl: well behnam, you talked about a singer's problem who gets famous with his firt album. But how critics compared this new album with old ones?

B: well Mika's first album was full of joyful songs talking about youth, songs that were also in second one too like "We Are Golden". Mika was talking about British teenagers' different problems in WAG and his power was to accompany these lyrics with colorful dancy and theatrical melodies, like Queen and Elton John and also there's chorus singing by American gospel choir which makes the song sound happier. He still keeps this dancy generation on in his new album too, and all these happens when he's been know as a big star in the world and also comfortable about his sexuality after that he announced he's homosexual, though it wasn't surprising. According to Simon Prize, These made Mika look like a person that dropped off everything from his shoulders and became comfortable and free. Also SP says this album's problem is it doesn't have a addiction and killer hit , also Guardian's critic says Mika's old records' power were his craziness which is became less in third album because he took himself more serious for making this album. BBC's Critic compares Mika to the band "Scissors Sisters" and he wrote Mika, who is a solo artist, is even more powerful than the whole bond "Scissors Sisters". He also pointed to Scissor Sistors' inspiration of 70s disco and rock music (I think here, instead of Mika Behnam said Scissor Sisters) , he compared Mika's OOL to Abba's killer records ,that you know they were historical. And also he says Mika's energy on this album is too much and it makes the songs to not fit perfectly in the album also because of their different inspiration Mika got to make each song ,one of them is Californian Rock, another disco .also another critic says in Mika's new album, which has 18 songs, a great album included of 10 songs is hidden and can be found .

Girl: Thanks for your words! And you know that tonight we're gonna show Mika's new music video , "Celebrate"

B: yes that right. Celebrate, a song by Mika and Pharrell Williams,an American rapper.

    *Celebrate video starts*

  5. here's part 1:

Girl: And tonight for our music report, we've got Behnam Nateghi who is gonna talk about Mika for us, an Arabian Lebenese singer from Britain. and also he's gonna talk about his third album which just droped out. Behnam, last year we had a report about his fans and how they welcomed him in his born city, Beirut. Is that right?

Behnam: that's right. Well Mika's real name is Michael Holbark Pennimen , her mother is originally an Arabia Lebanese and his father is from US but himself is a strange mixture of French and British cultures, because he spend his childhood in Paris, since he was 9 he was in UK, he studied opera in royal college of music and he was playing classical piano since his childhood. 5years ago, with his first album Life in cartoon motion he really jumped on the stage of world's art, which in 2007,his album got the ninth place in world's best albums chart, with 6 million copies sold. Monday's night, Mika was in New York's Webster hall, as the start of his US tour, for supporting his third album, The Origin Of Love.

*Origin Of Love is played* B: in his new album, "The Origin of Love", some of well known European dance electronic music producers collaborated with Mika in making an album, mixture of electronic music with theatrical rock music. and this time, it's more about Mika's personal life. Critics see maturity in this album, an album from an international artist who is going to be 30 soon.

In Mika's opinion, best words to describe his new album is "Joy Chasing". He says "he wanted to make a kind of music, only to make himself happy, so probably it will make others happy too. He says music is like a kind of drug that a person can make for himself, but other people can use it too." In OOL lyrics, Mika describes love to Nicotine and candy and his voice, as it goes higher, Accompanies some other joyful sounds. Though in OOL , Mika talks about his enemies too but after all the music and rhythm stays joyful and dancy . Mika says "his new album has been written like a personal diary, in 8 months. And the whole album is telling a 28 years old boy's story who wants to know how he will look like and how he's going to find the happiness in next 10 years."

*Celebrate is playing* Celebrate song which is in the middle of the album's track list, is the first single and it was released last year (last year? ). In this song, Mika sang with Pharrell Williams, an American rapper and he also challenges himself in writing rap. Critics compare Mika to Elton john and in the other side to Freddie Mercury, The Queen's singer. Mika says "The new album is inspired by classical music that he has experienced and also songwriting in 70s songs ,like Fleetwood Mac and Californian way in making records, like the band "Doors". He says he mixed these with nowadays electronic music , though he doesn't want his songs to be mistaken with other European electronic songs, played in clubs, which their heavy bits annoy listener. Mika says he wants his songs to sound emotional." But most of the producers who worked on Mika's album are makers of those electronic club songs, like Klas Åhlund, producer for "Robbin" albums, Benny Benassi, an European dance hit maker and also Nick Littlemore. Also one of songs in the album is featuring Priscilla Renea who Mika wrote "Gang Bang" with, for Madonna's new album.

Mika says "he found out that he really loves pop music and for him "pop" is not a dirty word. He also repeats that he's been inspired by 70s artists like Fleetwood mac , Elton john and Beejees. He says when you listen to Fleetwood mac, you see that they made their songs to make themselves happy, they loved their own songs." But the special thing about Fleetwood Mac, Elton john and Beejees is their unforgettable chorus on their pop songs. Critics who admire Mika's creativity ,say this new album contains less unforgettable songs than his first album.

  6. Last night VOA Persian talked about Mika on one of it tv shows called "Shabahang".

days ago, i messaged them and asked them if they can talk about him more and finally they did last night.A lot of Persians watch this show so this is a great opportunity for Mika to find more fans! :teehee:

  7. Doesn't it? If the next line is "I think you're amazing" surely it does? And you do (or I do) feel vulnerable when you strongly desire someone

But both fit with rejection of some sort too :dunno:

But now we're moving into lyrics thread territory- it's not understanding English that's the problem here

owh... well i'm so confused but i kinda think i got it! thanks for the help! :huglove: i want to post the translation on my weblog, i think i'm gonna translate in the way nobody will understand :aah:
