In my country it´s Christmas on 24th. I really think his Team is doing good work on FB. And you really think his twitter goes well? Do you read his timeline? It´s so annoying to see all the spamming there and I´m not wondering he needs some break from Twitter more often.

Some celebrities run their own facebook page, and I wish Mika would do the same but I rather have him doing his music instead of wasting time on facebook.

But I agree with lollipop, there's a sense of unprofessional work behind those people...

2 things I did not understand while watching the finals yesterday:

1. Mika's expression when Violetta passed to the second round

2. Simona's dress...

It was too beatiful to see Mika hugging Violetta

After she was eliminated I didn't bother watching the rest, I was too tired and too cold

All in all, I think it was an important experience to him, and I'm glad it's over before it got out of hand. He was so dedicated to it, and he has worked so hard, I'm truly proud of him.

About his performance with Morgan - is it just me or did Mika's voice sound... different?

Anyway - it went very well with not much of excessive drama, and I hope "the voice" will be like that as well

I wasn't intending money necessarily (unless it's essential of achieving the things you want to do of course - or unless money is the thing you want ), it was about aims in general and things you do for them.

 

And this is one point in his text as well: Being able to make music (and other "artistic stuff") and being able to make people get to know the things you have done. One of the strongest sentences for me is this one:

Do you think most of the people who turn up are going to be devoted fans of Mika's music? I think they just want to see him because he's a celebrity they discovered on a TV show 2 months ago. Not that they don't like his music necessarily but they probably have not run out and bought all his CDs already.

 

If we want to talk about a manipulative way to make money by selling fans something they already have we can talk about the existence of a "songbook" in the first place.

Yes it is very strange for me too. I have always lived in a world where Mika is not a star. Many of the gigs I've been to have been less than 1000 people. My first gig was just a couple of weeks before the Milan show he talks about and it was 600 people.

Also, I used to walk around, talking about Mika and people did not know who he was! Now, they're like "oh, yes, Mika, of course I've heard of him". What happened to "Mika? what's Mika?"

I don't think it is,Jodi Marr has mentioned it a couple of times on twitter,which makes me think it was written by Mika and her,but I could be wrong

He probably wants to sell songs to TV, movies, etc. and has more vsibility than other songwriters because he is a pop star.

You know, it's funny, I know he's gotten really popular for the last few months, with Ariana and XF but I just can't think of him as a "star", it doesn't feel right, idk Every time I see him in a fancy suit behind the judges desk, I can't help but remember the first documentry he made, when he performed in Milan for the first time, and said: "WOW, 3,000! that'll be my biggest audience ever!"

HAHA yeah it's true and when MikaTeam were telling about the project on fb, I was in the middle of a school day and it was really hard to act like nothing happened.

I disagree with that. He let a statement stand for 3 years where it was strongly implied he was bisexual. And he more or less coroborrated it in several other statements after the fact when it was clear to him how the initial statement had been interpreted.

 

And that's just one example. We had discussions here that went on for a good year about what his real name is because he could not even be clear about that.

it's usual, you need to find a catchy title for your articles. and sometimes it can happen that the one who was interviewed gets misinterpreted. it shouldn't happen, of course, it's not good journalism. but it does happen, for example, if the editor in chief doesn't like the title the interviewer chose, and makes up their own title, just by reading the interview. i guess this might have been the case here, because if whoever created this title knew a little bit about mika's personality, they would know he'd never say something like that. i hope they learn from it.

There's a difference between make up a new title from the contents and there's making up a lie...

was LG even mentioned in the interview...?

Now that I think about it, it makes sense as a mistake because Mika is a beginner with this language...

Actually, when I think about it more - he learned italian so fast, it's amazing, isn't it? He's so smart

it seems to be the title of the article - so maybe just someone made a mistake there, interpreting what mika said in a wrong way, to get a catchy title.

I really hope it was a mistake, because if people will start using his popularity to earn money by spreading lies for which he'll have to deny later - I'm gonna get really annoyed...
