  1. Thanks! Everyone seems to be nice with each other here so far... Where are you from?

  2. Three years ago, I would've told you "I know Spanish, very basic English, Portuguese, and Italian." Now, I've moved from the border, so I know nothing about Portuguese, and nothing about Italian, but I do speak English and Spanish fluently.

  3. It sounds to me a little similar to French in some parts, and it has the "fluidez" of English, not like German, that they seem to be telling you off all the time, no matter what they say. It sounds nice. There are so many languages in Europe, that you'll never get to know them all, and even less get to speak them all fluently...

  4. I totally get the feeling. I used to play in front of people and that feeling of trying to think what comes after this chord, and not remembering until 0,00000001 seconds before you play it used to stalk me all of the time...

  5. I like it! Your hands were shaking... hahahahahaha

  6. Yes. It's our (crappy) official language. I feel more comfortable with English. Things sound better when said in English. What does Georgian sound like?

  7. Hey, can you send me the link to your cover? Thanks!

  8. Thanks! Here in Uruguay it's very hard too, specially for teens... There's not a single chance for me to do something and be someone... I might get to have a shot when I'm MIKA's age when he started at 23, but for now, it's all about waiting...

  9. I'd love to be able to live from singing, but who knows if that'll turn out the way I want it, right? I got a friend who also sings, and our voices sound really well together. In fact, our vocal ranges match: I go from Eb2 to C5 and she goes from Eb3 to somewhere in the beginning of the 6th, let's say C6, so when we sing we know our limits, and the other's too, so it's very easy for us to sing together.

And yes, I hope I'm very lucky and he'll come to Uruguay this year.

  10. I'd love to see him live, but here in Uruguay it's impossible... I saw a boomerang exclusive where he stated he wants to know Argentina, but I don't know if he already did and nobody found out, or at least I didn't... Anyway, if he did a gig in Argentina I wouldn't be able to go there because I got money problems at home, apart from the fact that I'm a 15 year old kid, of course...

I'd love to know more languages, but right now it's only Spanish and English... I did two years of Italian, because my school couldn't afford an English teacher but that was in 2008-9 and by now, I barely remember the accent.

I was born in the border with Brazil, and as both cities (Uruguayan and Brazilian) live thanks to tourists coming down from Brazil, Portuguese is the most common language there. I used to speak it fluently, but now I can't say more than two words without mixing it up with English and that's it...

What about you, what do you do for living?

  11. Well, opposite from you, I'm 15, and I've been learning English since 2010. Do you sing? What other artists do you like?

  12. How old are you? How long has it been since you first listened to his beautiful voice?

  13. Thanks for the welcome! Where are you from?

  14. Hi, I'm Nahuel. Thanks for the welcome. Where are you from?

  15. Hi, I'm new too. I signed up yesterday. Where are you from?

  16. Thanks, we'll talk later. Sweet dreams :)

  17. I listen to everyone except Hip-Hop. I don't know why, but I don't quite like it... Most songs it's "I like it" or "I don't like it", no matter the genre it is, but some genres in particular are just not for me...

My favs are Whitney Houston, Bonnie Tyler, MIKA (****ing love him now...), The Who, Stacy Francis and Rachel Crow (The X Factor USA season 1), but as I said, it's not about the singer, or about the style or genre, it's more about the song for me

  18. Well, it's big... If you feel like shopping, you should go to the border with Uruguay. There are Free Shops, and they're incredibly cheaper than your every-day shop. If only wanna shop, Rivera's your next stop. If you feel like shopping, but also like jumping into the water, Chuy, in Cerro Largo, to the North-East of Uruguay is your city of choice. There are other places with Free Shops, but they're not very cool. Basically bus stops next to the road, where you can shop and gotta wait a lot to get on the next bus...

Apart from Mika, any other favourite musician?

  19. OK, you're not bad. It's understandable. As my teacher used to tell me a few years ago, You can communicate with mistakes, but people would get the meaning anyway. That's your case.

Have you thought about coming down here, to South America?

  20. NICE!!! Pero te enseñan español de España o español de Latinoamérica? No vale usar el traductor de Google... jajajaja

  21. Yes, regular lessons and also Cambridge exams. I've passed the First Certificate this year with 81%. What about you?

  22. Spanish, but I love English and I believe Spanish is very boring... Our language is only beaten by English in words because English has all the technology-related words, but for example, every verb has of course 1st, 2nd and 3rd person, plural and singular; but also there are tenses. Each tense is a single word. And it's not like English where you put more words to form a tense. In Spanish, each single tense means one more word. All of that lead to a total loss of interest from me in Spanish. English is useful, simple, and everything sounds nice when you say it in English.

  23. I've only crossed the Uruguay River once, and went to Concordia, in Argentina. Also, living in the "Frontera de la Paz" (Border of Peace, Peaceful Border or something like that) as it is commonly called, I've been in Brasil up to 2 to 5 km my whole life more or less till I moved to Montevideo. Other than that, nothing. I don't even know much of Uruguay. In Rivera I can be your tourist guide, in Montevideo I can be you broke GPS, and the rest of the country is yet to be known by me...

  24. Yes, we are in South America.

If it was on me to choose, I'd been born in NYC, and by 35 I'd be the owner of the Montecito Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, from the Las Vegas NBC TV Show... Don't know if you know it. But for now it's Montevideo with me.

Depending on the area in which you live, it can get really hot, or really cold... For example, a few days ago I had to wear long-sleeved a shirt because overnight it was like 15ºC, from 25 to 30 the day before... Remember we're in summer now. It's nice here. No hurricanes, no tsunamis destroying nuclear plants, no volcanoes destroying half of the city, no 9.0 earthquakes... It's almost perfect, except for the part that we are insignificant to the rest of the world.

  25. I was born here and I've lived my whole life here. Here in Uruguay is not very common people to move out of the country... I was born in the Uruguay-Brasil border, in Rivera. In 2010 I moved to Montevideo. In which part of England were you born?
