  1. Selamlar  :)

uzun zamandır Mika'yı takip etsem de fanclub'a yeni katılabildim.

Türk hayranlar son zamanlarda pek aktif değil gördüğüm kadarıyla ancak eğer yabancı üyelerden de destek alarak bir kampanya başlatırsak 2017de konser verilecek ülkelerin içine Türkiye'yi ekleyebiliriz belki ?,

    Hi!

I've been following Mika for a long time but i just joined the MFC.

Nowadays there isn't much active Turkish fans but i think if we can get support from foreign fans and start a campaign maybe we can add Turkey to 2017 concerts tour list?

Merhabaaa!!

  2. So what do you think? To be honest, it's not my favorite season so far. It wasn't even based on Sherlock but Eurus. It was like a thriller movie, like Ring. And also I HAD WAITED FOR 20 MIN FOR A LAST SCENE. They left no gate open so it might have ended but no confirmation yet :/

  3. Actually, here all the tv series are that long,1.30 hour so I find it weird to film it in 3 years :D yeah,it's nice to see that he's not a maschine and sometimes it really does make sense but I don't know the first episode shouldn't be like that imo. We all missed Sherlock and suddenly saw kinda unfamiliar character :D but they did compensate in the second episode. There was bit of everything. It was just amazing

  4. Waiting for 3 years is literally killing me!! So you are lucky now :D To be honest, I agree with you, after having waiting for so long, the first episode was not so impressive. In fact I HAD MISSED SARCASTIC SHERLOCK! But it was like showing so much human side of him :D Also the story was not the best and also I'm so sorry about Mary :( HOWEVER THE SECOND EPISODE WAS JUST WOW. I COULDN'T CLOSE MY MOUTH. It was just amazing, I enjoyed it very much. Sherlock was so cute, and the dialogue with John... Benedict's acting is just amazing, he plays high Sherlock so good  I can't wait for the last episode as well while I'm so sad that it's gonna be the final of this season. :(

  5. At first I agreed completely with your post. But I just read some of the conversations that followed out of the tweet of Dom Stirling, the guy that said Mika had no career anymore. I'm actually not appalled by the original tweet by Stirling but by the anger that speaks out of some of the reactions. I'm not saying the Stirling tweet was very respectful. But in my opinion "mean" is too strong a word for this rather harmless, supposedly to be meant funny, opinion. I don't think the tweet was very personal as well; just a careless, not well informed thought about a public figure that he (wrongly) believed to be history as an artist. Something that came into his head when he watched a -again public- performance. Not "necessary" to put such a thought on twitter but what is?

On the other hand, some (not all) of the reactions for example "Shut your mouth and die" or "You little s**t! Who are you to say such things about Mika and his fans, you're nodoby so stay in your lane" definitely are mean and extremely personal. I believe strongly, it's more those people that "should take a look outside of their own little word" than Dom Stirling. Even if you are hurt by the original tweet, you make yourself rather ridiculous when you express your hurt with comments like that. This last remark is not aimed at you Mellody or at any of the posters in this thread until now. Your and their words are polite and thoughtful.

I agree, the swear words that are used for Dom or abuse were too much. However, the problem with Dom was that he kept continuing underestimating Mika fans. He is the one who doesn't follow what Mika has done for 10 years and he blamed Mika fans to be stuck in 2007. The language he used or the behaviour he showed was toooo much and soo relaxed. At least for me. I thinl that's another reason why he got so much reaction. And also, that he didnt like the performance is quite okay, who are we to judge? But he's not the person that decides that Mika's career is over. Just write "I didn't like" . And yes you're right, there were worse waaay worse comments on social media. What I wrote is not only for Dom(he was a specific example) but also for the other who were insulting and rude.

  6. As Sabine said, the sales of his last albums explain everything. For his first album he got a lot of support and promo from his record company and management, hence the high demand in different countries. But for his last 2 albums,he said in a few interviews that he had to find himself sponsors and resources for the promo, because the record company gave up on him. So it's not so hard to understand why he had to take advantage of these opportunities from France and Italy, and gaining this way the freedom he needs to continue his work. Probably he would have disappeared otherwise, like many other forgotten artists.

I am sure he would like to perform in more countries, but he needs to be invited, and also to sell the event. Booking agencies are focusing on mainstream artists who can bring them a high profit. And Mika is not in this category, for sure. So he needs to manage his business in his own way,and I think he knows better what's best for him. No one can be in his shoes, and judging other's life by suppositions and speculations is wrong, but this is only my opinion ofc

I am not judging, I was really curious about what has changed. :) and your explanation is clear to me

  7. yes, I don't think he's really popular in Czech Republic or Latvia, but he still did gigs there this year... I don't know how they choose where to go where it comes to countries where he is not very popular, why they choose Latvia and not Germany (as an example)

    Yes, I don't know... :(

  8. well, I don't really know how the concert business works, but I guess he does shows where he (his team) estimates there is demand.

In Italy and France he has quite a lot of demand right now, he sells out most of the shows, even if he does a lot of dates, while it isn't the same in other countries, and since he rarely goes there, it's also more difficult that people will be still interested (and I'm not talking about hardcore fans, of course)

I don't expect him to come here and perform 10 times, but still I don't understand that he was not popular here in 2010 and 2013, but he still came here to perform. And there are so many countries like that. It's understandable that he goes where there is more demand for him, but actually it was his choice to build up a career in Italy or France, which I respect. I am not complaining about where he performs the most, I'm trying to understand what has changed not to perform in so many places like he used to do.
  9. because he was new and so successful with his first Album. They do it with all new singers but after the second album you won´t hear much of them. That´s what we can watch in Germany, they push the newbe and let the not so new and successful ones fall like hot potatoes. Some give up and disappear and some fight with everything they have. Another exampel was Duffy who was soooo successful with her song Mercy, she doesn´t exist anymore and she started the same time as Mika

Yes, I agree that some disappear. But I think,  it's not the case though. Because he continued to be invited after the release of other albums. And still the gigs were full of people.

  10. Fact is that the concert agencies also look at the sells of the albums. Look at Germany I don´t think he sold more than a few thousand of the last two albums here and concerts agencies sdon´t see the gigs sold out so they aren´t interstetd to bring singers like him to Germany and I´m sure it´s the same for other countries like Spain, Austria and so on. France sold more than 100000 NPIH, Italy more than 50000 so that´s where the concert tickest sell.......

I would love to see him in Germany but I´m realistic and I know half empty gigs wouldn´t help him

What has changed then? I don't think he has sold TBWKTM, LICM or TOOL a lot in Turkey, but he came here and the gig was not empty. And I think the case is the same as in Germany or somewhere else. Why did they bring him before but not now? :(
