  1.

But  I liked the athmosphere of the street (which I'll keep calling Diagon Alley because it's easier to remember Xd). And I really, really do like the strange love/hate relationship we're being given between Ashildr and the Doctor, oh, so many new things to explore with them, please keep going on with this storyline <3. And just the idea of this immortal soul stuck with a tiny human brain is so cool to explore. Also, Maisie Williams is absolutely brilliant in that role; so it makes me even more eager for moaaar

I'm glad someone else thinks of the street as Diagon Alley too!

  2. Without saying too much because I don't want to give away spoilers for people who haven't seen Face The Raven yet...MY HEART. It is broken.  :overreact:

Although I've seen the cast list for the finale two-parter and things might not be quite as they seem (a Doctor Who rule really!)

  3. In short I think it's just because he makes me happy. This might sound a bit weird but I find that if I'm already in a good mood I don't search out Mika songs half as much as I do when I'm feeling down. I still listen to him and enjoy it but it's when something is bothering me that I find myself specifically wanting to listen to Mika and not much else. It's actually happening now! I'm quite stressed about a few things and I've just put Mika on shuffle on itunes because I know that in half an hour I'll be feeling a lot more positive again. And he just seems like a wonderful person too.

  4. Yesss fellow Rory fans! I adored him. So cute and awkward at the start and he became so cool by the time he left. I've been lucky enough to meet Arthur Darvill twice, he's lovely. I complimented his singing after seeing him in a musical and he thanked me about 5 times and just kept patting me on the back over and over as he said it  :teehee:  he's adorable

I wasn't a fan of the latest episode either, I just found it all a bit confusing and by the time things finally became clear at the end I'd lost interest a bit...I'm not sure I want to hear Mr Sandman again for a while though! The Zygon episodes and Under The Lake/Before The Flood have been my favourite so far.

  5. Can we bring the thread back to life? What does everyone think of the Twelfth Doctor? At first I was a bit uncertain but he's creeping up to catch David Tennant as my favourite Doctor! I've found the current series a bit hit and miss though, too many two-part stories but it's still my favourite show. And next week's 'Enter The Raven' episode looks like it's going to be amazing.

  6. Because there must be some Whovians here!

I know it's getting towards the end of the current series but there's always something going on in Doctor Who to talk about, plus all the past seasons. And next week's 'Enter the Raven' episode looks like it's going to be a great one!

  7. Hope it's ok to bring this thread back again but it's a really nice way to find out about members  :)

I'm Jen, I'm 23 and from London. I work as a sales assistant in a shop which I hate, my dream is to work with animals in some way as I'm quite introverted and usually feel more comfortable around animals than I do around people! I typically listen to quite punky rock music so Mika is very different to my usual, but I do love him. I first joined the MFC about 5-6 years ago but I stopped posting as my tastes changed, I only recently started listening to Mika again so I'm back! In my spare time I try to improve at playing bass, I've never had lessons but have played on and off since I was about 16. Away from music I'm interested in anything to do with space, I love ice hockey (which usually surprises people as it's such a minority sport here in the uk!) and I'm a huge Doctor Who geek. I'm also really interested in languages and Mika always makes me want to improve my French so that's something I'm hoping to spend some more time on soon.

  8. Hello all! Never good at these introduction posts so bear with me.

I'm actually a returning member, I originally joined the MFC around 2009/10 as a teenager but as I got older my tastes changed and I'm ashamed to say Mika kind of faded into the background for a while. But last month I heard Talk About You playing in a shop and thought 'I know that voice!', loved the song, listened to all the tracks from No Place In Heaven when I got home and it felt just like the old days! Since then I've been listening to all the older stuff again and I can definitely say my love of Mika has returned  :) I used to really love this place so I'm back and hoping to have as much fun this time around. I saw Mika in London in 2010 and am a bit gutted to realise I've just missed out on catching him again, but I'm sure there will be plenty more opportunities in the future!
