When I read his answer about Passager I have the strong feeling he is now metabolizing this more negative feeling he used to have to a positive one. It’s like like a victory, coming to terms with yourself, making the best of your situation and embracing that part of you.
I can strongly relate to the song, and now especially after this explanation. I am a citizen of the world like him, but I never felt that I belonged somewhere. However, the feeling of belonging is something you need to unlock in yourself and you make the very best of it wherever you are. I don’t concentrate anymore on what I am not, but what I can bring to the table.
Maybe I’m projecting, but I think this is part of what he means.
I love the way you’ve described it Michelle❤️ I pretty much feel the same but I’ve never seen it as a reason to be sad or had a feeling of not belonging. I think it’s a great thing and living in London - wow, everyone here is from everywhere and we all can bring in something different.

I adore this song! Not only do I imagine Mika singing it at concerts but maybe at the Olympic Games opening in Paris?🤩 Bougez!😁❤️

I think this could be a fun event, but I'm waiting for more information about ticket prices.
This year Jack Savoretti was one of the performers during the festival and the tickets cost £47.

Not sure why I was able to upload this big video, maybe the admin / super moderator accounts don't have the upload limits - however, here it is, my uncut video of most of the M&G.
This video is so awesome!
Thank you, Karin.
-Can you tell us more details about the French album?-Nein!
That really made me chuckle😂😂🙊

What a night!
I wasn’t 100% sure until Monday afternoon that I’d get the time off work to come but I eventually did and on Wednesday morning I jumped on a coach from London with Anna and we headed towards Bristol.
I’m so happy for Anna that the flower🌸 fan action🌸 worked out so beautifully. It was later featured in Bristol Sounds social media several times and Mika personally thanked us for all the flowers during the m&g.
The last show I had seen before this one was The Roundhouse last year, so this time I was in for many surprises! BIOTG, Last Party, Rain - you don’t get to hear these songs very often these days, so it was wonderful to hear them again. BIOTG really took me back in time to 2010 gigs😁❤️Mika went down from the stage four (!) times: during Big Girl, Ice Cream (to give 2 of the giant flowers to the audience), Popular Song and Love Today - in his tiger mask❤️
The atmosphere, his voice, the unparalleled energy and Mika’s contact with the audience were magical. I loved Yo-yo sang to a fan named Jacob who seemed absolutely shocked and mesmerised. “Jacob treats me like a yo-yo, treats me like a yo-yo”. We all loved that😁❤️
I have no words to describe Mika’s garden grand piano. It’s absolutely spectacular! All in all, that was one beautiful summer, colourful, emotional show! At times you could feel you were at a festival and not a “regular” Mika concert (a kid standing in the front row near Deb and Mellody eating pizza) or some people randomly shouting to Mika if he would marry them😁 but I was really surprised at how many of them knew the song lyrics and were just giving their all during the concert.
Thank you Deb and the MFC for a wonderful and so smoothly organised meet&greet. It’s wonderful that we’re a bunch of people who can have a meaningful conversation with Mika, rather than fans going crazy and fight for selfies and autographs. I think he values that a lot and I’m hoping he’ll continue this beautiful idea of meeting us from time to time after the shows (or incognito during MFC insta lives😂).
I think that’s all for now. It was wonderful to see you all in Bristol. If you’re heading to more shows this summer, have a blast and I’ll hopefully see you all again soon.

Hi everyone 👋. Delighted to see so many names that I know!
I still have a spare ticket available if anyone needs one.
I am travelling alone and don’t get into Bristol until mid afternoon on Wednesday. I’ll dump my bag and head to the venue. But my running days are over- sometimes even walking is a challenge- so I’m not expecting a brilliant position. But it will be great to be there. 😀It’ll be great to see you Kath! I’ve made a last minute decision too - based on some time off work, which I never expected at this time of the year. Getting there in the afternoon too. It’ll be great!🤩

So, it looks like I may be coming to Bristol (subject to a day off work which is not easy in aviation in the summer🙄)🤩
Is anyone going back to London the same night on the 00:55 National Express coach? I have booked a ticket for it already before they sell out😉

Well, I've just bought my plane tickets, and I've got my festival ticket sorted, so I guess it's official! I will see you all in Bristol! Who else will be there? I only see 8 others on our RSVP list, surely there will be more than that?
Anyhow, can't wait! I thought I might go Mika-less this year, so this is going to be a nice treat!
Wow! It’ll be amazing to see you there Deb! If only I get a day off work. For now I have my coach tickets booked, waiting for confirmation from work and if I get time off, I’ll see you there😁❤️

Hahahahaha look at that confused/surprised look on his face, looking at a different camera than the rest (except for you @Kasia Mousa )
This was too funny! Of course we all wanted to be in that photo so the lovely gentleman Mika was talking to (I think he was one of the production people) took out his phone and said he would take a photo of all of us and he did. I then went up to thank him and asked if he could air drop me the photo. He did but it was only yesterday I noticed it was a “live” photo so I managed to get a shot where Mika is looking directly at the other camera🤣 That would also explain the look on Mika’s face “I don’t know where to look!”🤣

It was a beautiful night!
First of all, seeing you all there! Some of us even got the chance to meet Mr Deb, Brian. What a lovely gentleman and “a saint” (Mika’s words).
I just adored Grace Kelly as Mika and just a grand piano is a rare and a delightful combination! Before he started singing, he told the story of how he wrote GK.
I loved all the 4 pianists, one especially. It was so emotional, I didn’t stop crying from the beginning until the end of the performance.
The grand final was a very special version of Happy Ending and what a treat again to see Mika, Max and Ida❤️ Plus Lang Lang! This man is just phenomenal!
A wonderful meet&greet. Yes, I agree, some of us did get a bit overexcited but all in all it was great and Mika publicly apologised for repeatedly teasing Deb😁 It was so heart-warming to see them together, Mika’s arm stretched around he shoulder. Awww❤️❤️❤️I loved it how he thanked her for everything as surely MFC without her would never be the same. Once again Deb - thank you!
Shortly after the m&g when we were on the way downstairs Mika zoomed past us and soon again had a small crowd around him. I felt a bit guilty of being there too and said to him we didn’t want to follow him like lunatics, it’s just that we couldn’t help ourselves, as he’s too rarely in London. He laughed and agreed to have a last selfie taken. This turned into a group photo when I think one of the production people took a photo of all of us with his phone (I later asked him to air drop it to me and it turned out to be a Live Photo, so even better😁). Mika gave one last autograph to a small boy and was (I hope) finally free to speak to some other people.
Just a personal reflection - yes it’s easy to get overexcited in Mika’s presence but we should all acknowledge that he doesn’t even need to meet us and I hope we do all we can not to test his patience. He’s the nicest and the most giving person there can be and deserves nothing more but respect.
When we get invited to a show like this where there are photo/video restrictions, we have to follow them. As we are proud of Mika, let’s try to make him a little proud of us too (which I know he is, it’s just that there are always exceptions to every rule)🥰Love to all and I can’t wait to see everyone again!

Still struggling with eyesight so difficult for me to read or see pics and please excuse any mistakes.
yes - the people behind us behaved appallingly.
Mika fans at the end were very predictable. Over the (almost) 16 years little has changed really. It’s push push, selfish behaviour. Such a shame.
HOWEVER… all that said- what a fantastic night! Abby and I had a complete nightmare to get there but were very grateful that the staff let us in at 6:50. The show was absolutely incredible and I literally can’t wait to see the series!
and I certainly hadn’t expected a M and G with Mika.
Thank you so much Deb (and everyone involved) for all your hard work to pull this off for us. It is much appreciated.
And lovely to see so many old faces. XI’m so happy you made it there Kath. I’m sorry I missed you, I didn’t see you anywhere and would have loved to say hi🥰

Hi everyone,
I should be at the cafe around 5pm to see you all. Where exactly is it? I can’t find it on Google maps😁 Is it within the Royal Festival Hall?😉
-
For everyone trying to work out how to get to Southbank, please visit www.tfl.gov.uk and click on “plan a journey”. It already has all the updates for the coming week.
I’ll most probably make it at 4pm to meet you all but where exactly are we meeting?🤩- 4

Ooops, sorry. I just realised the tickets I got are rear stalls row BB, not row 2 near the stage. Front stalls weren’t available for booking at all😖

Guys, the free tickets ara available now through Royal Festival Hall website. It’s not general admission. I logged in right at 10am and got row 2. See you there

Can they just announce all the dates now please?! It's annoying to get all those teasers about gigs here and there, I need an overview so I can make plans! 😅
Happy to hear that he'll be playing in London in summer. The last time I was queueing at the Roundhouse was in December (2012). They had a nice café right next to the entrance, so we spent most of the day there, but outside it was freezing. ❄
I remember that day🤩 Can’t wait for round 2❤️

I’m so excited about this, especially that I’m taking my son and his friend with mum (yep, two 8-9 year olds) and we’re from all over the place. We have the Polish, Egyptian, Palestinian and Lithuanian A4 flags at the ready😁🇵🇱🇪🇬🇵🇸🇱🇹
