I'll admit, took me a hot minute to actually recognise him! He certainly looks different now...

    Dare I say, hotter?... :teehee:

    (I think it's the hair)

I haven't been watching this year but saw Ant and Decs tweet and was like I recognise that name so went to check but then wasn't sure when I saw him at first ethier

But yeah he looks different for sure

  2. This is indirectly a Mika dream

So I had a dream that I went to some event in London and heard rumors that Mika and a post on his stories. would be part of it so left during part that went to another section hoping he would be there

Turns out he was never there but I was on a wild goose chase trying to find him

Usually at festivals, the bigger the artist's name on the poster, the later in the evening they're on (if they're on the same stage). So unless they change something due to his popularity because of The Piano, I think he'll probably be on in the afternoon. There's Robbie and Blondie and a few other names before his.

That's one reason why I'm still hesitant about going, because I suppose it won't be a full gig. :dunno: Maybe a short set like at Coachella, maybe more?

I like everyone on the main stage so it wouldn't just be Mika im there for plus for me its currently the only chance I have to see him this year

I suppose the festival in general would finish only late, maybe 11pm? But as Mika isn't the main act, he will probably be on in the afternoon or early evening. Unless there's several stages and Mika is the main act on another stage? I haven't checked yet if they have a detailed plan on their website. That's all assumptions, you'll probably have to call them and ask to make sure... but if Robbie's show is starting at 9 or so, and Mika is on the same stage, he'd be on before that for sure.

I might go with the safe option and book the Monday off rather than risk getting stuck in the island and trying to rush back

It does say Mika is on the main stage on the website , I haven't looked at other artists and don't see anything about times

  5. Hey so I've realised that the festival is on a weekend that I will most likely have off (I don't work when it's an adult weekend ) so was looking at going again

I found a reasonable hotel 30mins away and could book travel and get a ticket would be about ,£250-£300

However since I'd have to travel back Sunday after I was wondering if anyone knows the timings of the festival, how late do you think would it finish

Is the festival more of  day thing or go on till late evenings

  6. Adding as I watch the full concert(only really for Mika as I don't want to watch the whole thing later esp with ads)

I like mikas little explanation of GK is cool also might be the first time im listing more to how he plays more then him singing

Lastly I really like Mika and Lang Lang together I hope they work together in the future they seem to have got on well

  7. Just watching now

    Running commentary as I watch

    - I feel like Mika Sees himself in Jay

    - Mika looks so excited as he trains to them

    - I like Lang Lang and Lucy

Everyone's so good and this is before the show Its so interesting to see how they progress

Jay's great I don't like his style of singing but I can't tell he's good

    Lucy's made me cry

    Seans great too

Danny is great I like his song too

Its so good to see how these come and they've done well

Only two negatives i have I would. Have liked a more variety in age plus I don't like that they are given a performance of the night makes it more a competition maybe that's just me

    I've loved the show tho

I've enjoyed this show much more then I thought I would

I love that the boys are working together on projects

I hope this brings Mika back to the UK I haven't seen much negativity towards him so hopefully he'll come back TV and music

    Please be true.

    Please be true.

    Please be true.

    :crossed:

Time to start manifesting Mika for another London gig.

    *MANIFESTING INTENSIFIES*

Hoping for this too London is great for me

Cheltenham is too far and I think it's too close to isle of wight for me to consider it  (when I looked last month most cheep accommodation was sold out) so London is probably the most realistic for me

Unless he does something in Sussex which I doubt

I can see why you love this review. 😊

This is one of the few times I've seen Mika described as  British-American. I think that's what Wikipedia says. Does Mika also have UK citizenship? It would have made things easier for him working and living in Europe before Brexit.

Yeah I'm pretty sure he has both a UK and American passport and citizenship

He's often described at British since that's where his Career started

  10. Didn't manage to watch last night as I was on the early shift and went to bed before the show

Just watched,  I really enjoyed agian, I like Sue, Sean and George however I'm going to be honest I'm a little disappointed that Sean was chosen as it just feels like the finals just young people, it would be nice to have someone with some maturity to have a different perspective.

    Hi :bye:

Any serious work place trains people seriously and do ask to change departments (just make sure the training is serious there) :thumb_yello:

The problem comes from the unprofessional people who get paid to train you but don't do their job. But be sure they take the extra money they are given  The same happened to me and I was mad at the teacher who got paid to train me but "allowed" me to attend his normal classes just like a regular pupil ( as if I had never been a pupil myself ) I was mad at him but I had no choice....be sure the problem doesn't come from you :itsok: Good luck in the new department :huglove:

I've ended up staying in the department I was and a week in ins going well after first few days of stress

That sucks. For you yeah sometimes they don't care to actually train

In all seriousness though, that was a great episode! The emotional impact has gone up a level from last week and it's like I can feel that emotion running through every note the pianists played. I loved how Mika and Lang Lang described how a piano can be someone's voice.

I Don't  know about Lang Lang but for Mika it was his voice

The piano brought him back to living after s**tty teachers and schools

And music as a whole I assume when he was mute

It still is he speaks to us though music when he doesn't know how to say things
